Hi there,
i have the international version of the note 5... called SM-N920I.
I would like to know, if there is a way to install german as main system language on my device. English is pre installed, but not german.
Furthermore... Samsung told me that at the korean version german is included.
So i downloadet the version and tried to flash it with odin 3.10.6. But it stockes at "nands write start" .... its confusing.
Or is there a easyer way to get the language data?
If you have any ideas please write... and sorry for my bad english

You should be able to choose your language at start up. No?
If not factory reset and see if you can..

You must download locale more.
Then read what you must do to get german.
I have netherlands installed this way.

You must have adb & fast boot installed on your computer.

Is installed.... so do you have an instruction how I can change or install the language file? I'm so sorry... but I haven't done this before.

guys today i went to the shop where i should buy the phone, and the sales agent told me that there is no way to change the default language, and even if there was a way the warranty won't answer if there should be a problem. is this somehow true? pls answer me fast thx

You may loose warranty by flashing some new roms/languages, but normally you can restore your default rom.

To get normal screen size change in startup.txt all lcd.density to 240, not 160.
I'm not sure if the xd guys have build their image with support for anything other than US English.

in fact, no.
I could build a system image for other languages but you would lose all the cool stuff they have done to customize it. I would recommend asking very nicely in the xdandroid 2.2 thread in the Raphael forum.

We haven't built it in. I'm sure we have it in the source though. once the builds start getting more stable i'll start adding those in. For now we just fixing bugs.

Because i've got tired of the bad performance it gave to me. I've tried every thing but in the end it was all the same.

i've a note 5 with N920IDVU3BQB1 - CSC XSP
i want to change that because i want the french language on it.
So, i try to download and install N920IDVU3BPL2_N920INZC3BPL2_N920IDVU3BPL2_HOME.tar.md5
But, odin fail...
I haven't activate USB DEBOGGING before... maybe it's the issue?
i replace the original rom and it's ok.. but not french language..
do you have an idea ?

I am pretty sure XSA (Australia) has the French language pack. When I flashed I it on my phone a long time ago I had USB debugging on.

You'd have to change that in your firmware. img files, and trust me its a hell of a nightmare finding a few pieces fo code in the partitions
and note if you do change the language it may also brick the phone or disable dvice locale specific features
