Insanely loud navigation - Android Auto General

Hi guys,
So I just got the pioneer 8700bt installed in my car.
Everything works great but the voice on the navigation is incredibly louder than everything else. I can't seem to turn down the volume at all just mute. It's uncomfortably scaring the sh*t outta me every time she tells me to turn left!
Anyone have the same issue? Solution?
I'm using a nexus 6 and the x8700bt

Have you tried lowering the 'Alerts' volume level on the headunit? The default should be 8 but I found in most cars I've used that 4 or 2 is a more comfortable level.

Ah yea didn't think it should be that low. Was on 9 its now on 2 which is much better! Thanks!

Monster clarity HD - paired but no sound

Tried my Clarity HD with my Nexus 7. It pairs and says it is connected but there is no audio.
Anyone else with one get it to work?

Works with my galaxy nexus . I'm gonna try tonight with nexus 7

I had this happen when I first tried to pair it. I had to pair it then unpair it. It will eventually pair properly. Sorry for the not so technical advice, but it's what I did to get it to work.
Will try it again now.
Edit: I have found that turning on the speakers before turning on Bluetooth to be key.

Took me two more tries but eventually got it. Thanks for the ideas.

I totally forgot i got one from that bestbuy buy a zte android phone and get the speaker free 50 dollar bundle
so it works with nexus 7?
can i pair with more than one bluetooth device at a time?
I've got the Monster Clarity HD, and had no trouble whatsoever pairing it with my Nexus 7 16GB. (I do also run an audio booster - SpeakerBoost - at +35%.)
I just picked up the Clarity HD and it paired the first time with my Nexus 7. But one thing I noticed was that there is a noticeable delay when playing games (about 1 second) but not when I am playing videos. Is this a JB issue? Or something else?

Are the speakers really that loud?

I keep hearing how these speakers are suppose to be so loud but mine don't really seem to get that loud, not sure if something is wrong with mine or others are just over exaggerating, I was trying to show them off to a buddy at work and played a YouTube video and we could barely hear it, so then I played some songs straight out of the internal memory and it wasn't really to much louder, I got the volume turned all way up and beats audio on, maybe there is some other eq somewhere I don't know about? My old evo 4g was almost just as loud

The one I am sending back were not that loud, but they would fade in and out to really loud to barely being able to hear. Also the crackling.
Mine are really loud with no crackling. The first time I got a notification it was startling how loud they were. Games sound amazing.
Won't be able to say for sure until I get mine Monday, but I went to the sprint store and played with the display today. I think the speakers are a touch over hyped. They are definitely louder than any phone I've had personally...but didn't seem like some people make them out to be.
Again, I'll know for sure Monday..

The speakers for me are very loud and clear. It's hard to believe they are on a phone

Mine are extremely loud, my wife and a few coworkers have been taken aback by them. Yesterday my wife texted me while she was upstairs and I was down. After her first text she tested right afterwards telling me to turn my phone down because she could hear it from up there.

For phone speakers they are very loud and clear and people are not exaggerating. You're phone may be alright, you may just have unrealistic expectations for what they can do with tiny speakers in a handset.
My Note II is about as loud but doesn't sound anywhere near as good.

Honestly mine are appropriately loud if that makes sense, well except for when turned down to lowest volume they are STILL kind of loud. It's kind of startling how loud it is, I actually jump sometimes from getting a text or email because it's just abruptly loud. It is something to get used to, but it seems you may have to return yours because it does seem there is something wrong.
A good rule of thumb for max volume on the HTC One speakers is that it should "fill the room" with sound. I can play mine max volume in my room at the other end of the house and hear it perfectly fine while in the kitchen.
I bought one of these when I got my One. I'm use to hearing things this loud so I don't expect much from phone speakers. Ring tones and notifications are crazy loud. Music isn't to crazy on my phone. I usually have my goodie bag of stuff, extra charger, external battery, this speaker, ipad, twinkles, you know the usual.

Are you running a Rom? Viperrom has the bootsound disabled by default. I have a flashable zip to reenable it

No unrooted stock
Mines is no sound also, completely stock still.
Oddly enough, mine also didn't have a sound when stock.
Was your phone on silent or vibrate before you rebooted? I swear it disables the start up sound but I could be wrong. It annoyed me so I deleted the sound file anyway.
Also, I wish the max volume could be lowered. The minimum volume is still freaking loud.

After having the phone a couple weeks or so now, and letting the epic feeling wear off. I've realized that while the speakers sound pretty good, HTC "boomsound" is a letdown.
My girlfriends s3 is just as loud but doesn't sound as good. Tonight the power went out at work at we gathered in the break room..a bunch of us starting watching YouTube videos. Granted I could barely load any with Sprints crappy network (and most definitely not hq) but when it did play, some dudes crappy LG was drowning my "boomsound" completely out.
The speakers are loud and do have a better sound than a lot of phones, but they are over rated. I like them, but I'm still slightly disappointed

I also found my speakers weren't incredible loud, the quality was amazing for being on a phone, but if i'm in an environment where people are talking, or outside and it's windy at all i have a hard time hearing the phone, but it is consistent, no fading or crackling or anything

[Q] Apple Earpod issue !

Is it true that the Note 3 makes it incompatible with earphones from Apple?
When I plugged the apple earphones into my notes, I heard no sound at all even though the phone detected a head phone plugged in.
Anyone knows how to solve this? Because the Note 3 doesn't even come with earphones....

I haven't tried the old one, but the new one doesn't work. Can't hear any music. Actually, I can hear "sound", not music.... the sound is way to low and noisy......

Volume while locked.

Does it bother anybody else that even though the screen is locked you can still turn up and down the notification and ringtone volume? Any way or app that can disable this?

I love it personally. Great for when listening to music.

I dont mnd the turning up and down of the volume of music while its locked, that's ohkay. But for the notifications.. Not so much what if I was on vibrate but had my phone in my pocket in a quiet place and it turned itself up accidentally and interrupted the quiet of the room?
Sent from my Nexus 6
It turned up in my pocket today. For quiet rooms, it's good and bad. You can increase the volume accidentally, but you don't have to make the unlock sound go off if you want to silence the phone.

Is it just me or speakers are weak?

Got my unicorn today. It is huge and awkward to hold. The screen is okay after selling my Galaxy S4 and using LG G pad 8.3 as a daily driver until I got N6. (I know weird). However, I noticed that the speakers are not really loud. I thought since it has tow speakers and placed on front, it should be loud. Also, when I call someone and put him on speaker mode, only the top speaker works. The bottom one doesn't. Can someone confirm that please?
Is there anything I can do or tweak to make it louder?
Thanks,

Motorola knows that no one else wants to hear your loud conversations
I solved this issue by using a Bluetooth headset. I have bad hearing due to my time in the military so I need things to be loud(or louder than normal) or I can't hear them.
