I just updated LG Bridge trying to do a backup so I can try and root from the one click method. After LG Bridge updated I decided to check for an update and sure as **** there was one. I'm running it now. It is 1.66GB.
Are you noticing any improvements to touch response, performance, temperature, etc?
Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
So far I can't make it all the way through the update process. I'm not sure if it is because of my attempts to root my device with the one click method and now stock recovery isn't on the phone?
UPDATE: Seems as though my drivers got messed up when my computer updated the LG Bridge app. Phone seems to be updating now.
UPDATE: Still just 5.1. Too soon to tell what has been improved upon.
Sweet. Downloading now.

Hey MicroMod so should we restore everything to stock take the update then use your one click twrp again or is there a way to keep twrp on and update it? Thanks I'm kind of confused how to take the update
my phone doesn't see the update just yet. of course I'm always at the end of the line when it comes to batch updates.

You will most definitely have problems if you try to OTA update while having twrp. You'll have to re-root and re-flash twrp assuming the methods available now are still successful. Once someone packages it into a flashable zip you can keep twrp and root after flashing

Just tried it and I'm able to get 8 unplugged if I'm not moving fingers, was only able to get 6 before the update. Seriously tho I can notice the difference in responsiveness and overall use of the phone. Much snappier - this is what I was expecting when I first got the phone.

I got the update about an hour ago. It rebooted my phone and installed 2 updates.

Im using root explorer to try and find it do I need to plug it in and use adb? It downloaded on my phone im pretty sure but then failed when it rebooted and tried to install.
is the update V10I ??? its been out for a few days now, If so I`m trying to Obtain it and someone wanted to charge me $30 for it.. What a jerk lol.

Auto Update on Rooted Flex AT&T
Just letting everyone know as far as i know i was sleeping the other day and woke up to my phone saying that it had installed 2 updates without any consent from myself. I was a little upset once i saw this cause i had previously rooted my phone. But to my surprise i never received any messages with errors. I also ran root checker and everything seems to beer in working order. I never lost root and now my phone is updated. Hopefully this doesn't prevent me from getting twrp, or cwm. But I'm going keep my fingers crossed.
I saw the update but it never downloaded for me.

Chainfire needs to the stock recovery to build root for the device, basically auto root by chainfire modifies stock recovery temporarily, flashes su then flashes back stock firmware through odin.

You can't pull recovery without root on your device, the only thing we ATT users can do is wait for Samsung to post the firmware which they havent, SM-G900A is the ATT model number, Tmo and Sprint are already up so they already have root.

Keep in mind guys that if the ATT BL is locked chances are CF Root will fail to flash or boot even if CF builds one for ATT...also if this happens knox warranty is tripped leaving you without warranty coverage and no root...likely a new KK exploit will have to be found...hope I'm wrong about the BL as I'd like to get rid of bloat before handing the phone off to GF..

You can start by debloating your GS5. See thread.

Lag
After I performed the root my S5 is incredibly laggy. Like 10 seconds before the screen comes back on after a time out.
Adfree by bigtincan was my first stop back in rootland.
Also better battery stats to track whats eating my battery on occasion.
Later on after I get some rest I plan on debloating. Thats all there really is to root, its not that big of a deal but its nice.

Once you run sdfix you need to restart your phone for the fix to take place.
I have no reason to lie, and did a factory reset. Seemed to fix the issue.

Did you put the debloated ROM on your phone or the debloater app because they're two different things. Also are you ROOTED because you can't use the debloated ROM unless you're rooted unlocked and custom recovery installed.

I'm vaguely remembering that but I think it's asking it you want to allow an OTA to wipe over TWRP. You probably wouldn't and that because then you'd probably lose root and recovery.
