Words With Friends

I'm sure you guys have played or still playing this game.
Yes I know there's wordfeud, however I have alot of friends with iPhones so this game is cool.
HOWEVER it freezes and force closes alot on my phone, anyone else have this issue?
Yeah I have that issue also!
I had similar problems but stuck with it, because my wife and I play WWF (she's on an iPhone). I've had much better luck lately (last two weeks or so) after their most recent updates.

[Problem] Screen freezing and browser stutter

I posted a thread in the Internation Galaxy Note 3 section but I thought I may get more of a response in here since it might be an issue with the NA Note 3.
Just picked up a Galaxy Note 3 from Rogers yesterday. This is one amazing phone.
I've been having issues with my phone though and I wanted to know if anyone else has been experiencing this.
My screen from time to time will become unresponsive....doesn't matter what I'm doing. To fix this issue I usually have to turn off the screen and turn it back on for it to work again or i can wait a couple of seconds and then it'll start recognizing my inputs.
As for the browser I notice that the scrolling is not as smooth as it was on my Note 2. The scrolling stutters a little bit.
If anyone knows a quick fix or is this just an isolated incident with my phone and I may have to do an exchange. Any help will be appreciated.
BTW my cousin seems to be having the same issue that I am and he also picked up his phone from Rogers yesterday.

I have the att version (black). I've been using it since yesterday morning and haven't noticed any issues. Maybe isolated to Rogers version...

Scroll in the browser any page with images. Try www.gawker.com, the stuttering is very annoying and obvious at medium scrolling speed. And it's not just limited to that site.
Btw I also have the AT&T version. I doubt it's a specific handset issue. I just think this phone stutters in certain situations such as browsing.

I've tried the website you provided and yes I'm getting the stutter still. How about your screen becoming unresponsive/hanging? Have you encountered that issue?
It's been about an hour or so and I haven't seen it so far. I'm sure it'll be back

I haven't seen the screen stop working or hanging.
I think Samsung has several bugs they need to iron out.
I even have slight stutter in videos in Youtube. The Note 2 would play the same video fluidly. Is it Samsung? Is it 4.3? I don't know. But I have a feeling it's Samsung.

I also have the AT&T Note 3 and I have been getting the issue as well where my screen stops responding to FINGER touches, but if I pull out the stylus, it responds to that just fine.
It seems to get into this state in a variety of apps & games, as well as on my home launcher screen.
Only thing that resolves it is turning the screen off and on again.

Same effects on my fresh out of the box German Version unbranded (upgraded to 4.3 stock).
I wanted to replace my Note 2 but I am not really satisfied with the Note 3.
They removed small features e.g. in the browser and shortcuts on lockscreen.
I didnt want to root but obviously I have to...
The new browser seems to be chrome with just another gui....
Pretty poor!
Same problem with my att note 3 as well. .. Have to turn off screen and turn it on to unfreeze.

Att note 3 no screen problems, no freezes here. I don't use the stock browser but any browser has occasional stutter depending on traffic, bandwidth and content. Tried them all, settled for maxthon now.

Multitasking

Hey folks,
I got the feeling that the new G got a worse behavior in closing apps, even if there'd be enough free ram. Anyone experiencing the same problem or got any solutions aside the app which I found (MinFreeManage)

Lag?

I've noticed on certain apps like cm browser or Facebook while scrolling I get stutter or some lag. I didn't have this with my nexus 5. Is anyone else have lag?

No lag here and the Facebook app sucks in general so not a good example.
I did notice it on facebook. The same thing happened to my nexus 5 last year when I first got it.
I've noticed a few of my apps lag where the nexus 5 I had did not lag in these apps...

You use terrible apps then. Facebook is not a valid example. Probably the worst app ever made considering it's prominence as a brand.
ART enabled, no lag and faster than iPhone.

With Android L forthcoming, which will have ART as default, developers are updating their apps to become compatible. I don't think I've tried to use a single app in the last year that was incompatible with ART.
Its not only facebook. Its Flipboard, CM browser also
Try ART. I saw stuttering in apps that ran smoothly on my 2013 Moto X, after the ART conversion they became all slick and stutter free.
Will give it a try with ART, but to be fair facebook app its not the best example anyway
What the heck is ART?
EDIT: Never mind Figured it out....

[Q] S6 Edge Laggy?

Hi all,
Is it just me or is this phone laggy/choppy while browsing, especially in the XDA website?
I'm coming from an m8 which seemed a lot smoother than touchwiz. Any tips on how to smooth this out? Thanks
I've been doing many tests actually trying to force it to lag. So, far I've been unsuccessful in the challenges.
Can you give specifics on what it's doing? Is it just when browsing the Web? Or also seen laggy when browsing around the screens? Are other apps laggy or do they seem fine?
Seems like its more with browsing, it can be very choppy at times. The apps seem fine.
Dude, either your the most critical human on the planet , or you have a bad unit. Thete is not 1 flagship in u.s. that I haven't owned, and by FAR this is the smoothest and most exes prion yer

Have you tried using different browsers? I haven't had any issues so far with browsing using the stock browser. Granted Verizon took the Samsung browser away and a lot of people seem upset by this.
Try downloading different browsers and see if there's any difference. If not I'd reset and if still no dice return it.
If there is a specific website they is laggy you may want to mention it so others can check.
For instance, cnn.com seems to always be a little crappy on chrome mobile for me. Including on this phone.
I don't get lag or choppiness when on the TouchWiz home. however, I noticed it gets a little choppy when I use the Google home launcher instead.
