My phone wont boot: Failed to mount system

Hi guys!
I was Rooting my phone, and everything was okay with my first steps, I got a Superuser app in my phone and the most important thing it was working. After I was looking for my new Rom for my phone, I thought the CyanogenMod 9.0.0-RC0-GalaxyICS-UNOFFICIAL-beta8 one should be fine.
I downloaded the beta 8 version, after I installed to my phone. The installation was succesful. But after my Phone wont boot.. I got these messages:
- Appling Multi-CSC --
E:failed to mount /system
(Invalid Argument)
Anyone..Pls Help me !

Your phone is a S5830i?
If is, there is the problem

Your ace is 5830 right? And did you flash from stock recovery or from cwm? If you can get download mode then you will be able to reflash via Odin, find firmware on SamMobile.com

Install clockwork mod recovery with Odin and reflash rom using cwm.

Thanks guys I was a ****in noob.. my phone is working now. And the new system is amazing.. just the camera doesn't working.. I have to wait for the update.

hello guyz, i didn't follow the right steps in updating ma phone's OS and now it's bricked. i have tried using odin but galaxy ace s5830i seems not be booting. these are the steps i took
after getting into recovery mode, i wiped data/factory settings and selected wipe cache partition afterwards. Next i selected apply update from sd card and chose the zip. afterwards ma phone got bricked. Now when i try with odin, it says E: failed to mount/system (invalid argument) installation aborted. pls help me guyz

You have to select "choose .zip from sd card" in recovery..

Its best that you install your stock rom and be happy with it. And yes, if u don't know, don't ever use rom manager. Its just not meant for galaxy ace.

right I flashed most of roms but now i am back to my custom stock rom with cm7 UI and i woudn't change it

OMG! Read the tutorial. Android system recovery? First you need to flah clockworkmod recovery with odin and than you can install roms.

I saw those errors, you mini couldn't mount the system and the cache because the CM7 setup doesn't started to root your phone, and your phone wasn't be able to boot because of formatting your system(when you flash a new ROM your system is automatically formated). That was the explanation if you wanted to know, and don't worry, your phone didn't get bricked. I hard bricked my phone when accidentaly i selected a wrong cwm recovery from CWM manager.
To solve your program flash a stock rom or a custom if you want.

I tried to make Flash ROM storage again using Odin on PC, but the program remains stuck at home after verification system, and the phone does not run anything (photo).
Can find another solution ....

Does anyone have any ideas how I could resolve this?

Hi, just whant to thank´s, i´ve been for 1 month looking for a solution, and now i´ve been capable to solve it, exactly as sayd, important:
1- use CWM recovery for galaxy mini
2- in recovery make a cleaning, format every thing
3- install custom rom
4- in recovery wipe everything again
5- Boot perfect

Hi, sorry if i'm not posting in the correct section it's just that i can't find a section for the galaxy ace gt-5839i so this was the closest thing. The other day i rooted the gt-5839i and then decided i would be an idiot and atempted to install cwm4 and now the phone is stuck on the screen that displays the model number. I can boot into recovery but doing a data reset/wipe or wiping the cache or trying to install a new rom is not working at all, all it says is E:failed to mount /system (Invalid argument) so i'm guessing i probably need to reflash an appropriate stock recovery (2.3.6) to fix this it's just that i can't find one and don't know which i should try if anyone could help me out on this one i would be extremely greatful as at the moment the phone useless, thanks.

first, download your stock firmware from samfirmware.com
then download odin, and learn how to use that

Try using CWM .
if still dosent work then use odin.

[Q] TWRP not working - unable to find .zip files, unable to factory reset

i have recently rooted my HTC one, i was initially able to flash a bunch of different files after rooting. today i tried to find a zip file i downloaded with the intention of flashing it, however i couldn't find it anywhere when using twrp, while using twrp it says i have 0mb of internal storage. i tried factory reset and i get an error message saying that internal storage couldnt be mounted. what has happened to my phone!?
let me know what other information you need in order to figure out whats going on.

I had an older version but used my computer to flash 2.6.0.0, which didnt do anything. i then flashed CWM 6.0.3.3 (touch) using my computer merely out of frustration last night. Here is the process I used for flashing both imgs in case you were curious: shift + right click in the folder with CWM img, fastboot flash recovery "name_of_the_recovery.img," fastboot erase cache.
Once again, this didnt do a thing, I just keep getting the same error when i touch "choose zip from sdcard" ---> E: Can't mount /sdcard/

What are you trying to flash? Do you have a working ROM you can boot into or does it crash on boot up ?

+1 matt, thank you for responding. my problem now is that i dont know how to decrypt my data. ive tried performing a factory reset, and i also powered down, powered up, the "decrypt" option was available, so i tried that. im in CWM and still cant flash anything: E: can't mount /sdcard/

Accidentally deleted system partition in TWRP.

i tried to install xiaomi.eu rom and i acidentally wiped the system partition. i cant access the internal storage and flash a rom in there. can someone please help me now i dont have an os installed. I cant do adb sideload as well. this is the only phone i have and cant buy a new one.

it doesnt allow me to put anything in the phone. theres a bunch of folders with weird names.

Understood. Format your phone from the wipe this will delete everything as you don't have any option right now. After this reboot to recovery and transfer rom from your pc remember to mount storage and flash the rom no further wipe is required.

It's encrypted that's why you are getting like this, just format from twrp this will be solved.
One more thing, have you tried updating your twrp to latest version?
Because latest version supports encryption.

Should I use stock rom (MIUI) or can I use xiaomi.eu?

No, it clears everything which are encrypted. Once formatted you will be able to see your phone memory in your pc and transfer rom for installation.
