Hello there,
I was wondering what is the code name for the international note 5.
the one being sold here is N920C , one sim card.. is it this one?
and the rom development will be focused on this model or other models?
thanks
Additional question, where do you buy in USA factory unlocked phone carrier subsidy free. I would like to pay full price but be bloatware and contracts free. Samsung does not sell them directly, Best Buy doesn't sell them directly. As far as I can say, you can buy contract free for full price, but it is still locked to certain carrier.

Help on importing a Note 5 to the UK
I was hoping I could get some advice on importing a Note 5 to the UK to use on the o2 network.
My sister is in Chicago for the next 2 weeks and I really want to buy the 64gb black note 5 but I need to know if there is a specific place I should buy it from. Can I buy an unlocked phone from any of the US network stores? Is there a particular version that won't work with the UK 4G network? Any help will be much appreciated.

The T-mobile version their bootloader has always been unlock, not the AT&T version. You have to wait 1 month before you can call T-mobile to get it unlock. I think you might get a service to unlock on ebay soon.
So can I just buy the phone outright from a tmobile store without a contract or anything? Also would samsung stores not sell them unlocked like apple stores do?
Thanks
So,
I want to outright buy a 64gb or higher variant, but for Canada.
I can by a 64gb on Ebay ranging 950-1500... But I'd like to pick my colour & have it actually work in canada at first without needing to root/custom it at the beginning...
Any suggestions on where I can buy one? Especially the best model variant that will be easier to use custom roms?
Please advise, I am on "bell canada", but am going to telus as they cover better service in my area's.
My "contract" is up in October. So if delivery is 2-3 weeks, i'm ok with that...
I want a brand new epic phone, switching up for the well used 32gb note 3 with 64gb samsung evo microsd...

I am wondering if the 128gb of the S6 (non-edge) from AT&T (without contract) is easily unlockable to be used in Europe.
Are there any issues with unlocking?
All the requirements for unlocking a device at att.com/deviceunlock. You also submit the request from that same site. However if you plan on rooting the phone and can afford to just pay full price I would reccomend you get a international g920f instead of the at&t g920a so that you have more options for rooting and modding as the at&t is tightly locked down and cannot be rooted on the latest updates
Hmm. On that page it says this:
Prepaid / GoPhone®
The device must be active for at least six months of paid service.
So I guess you can't just buy it and unlock it right away?
Exactly but again if you can afford to pay full price for go phone you'd be much better off getting the international g9020f and its unlocked by default
There have been several conflicting statements regarding the region locking of the international version, UK. Wanted to get a confirmation that ordering the Galaxy S10 won't require a region unlock, making a 5-10 minute phone call in the purchasing country, before using it internationally. Is this the case with ordering the international version, and forwarding it to the USA?
Is there any service that lets me order from Samsung, region unlock the said device, and ship it to the USA?
I would like to purchase from Samsung to get the buds and a trade-in credit which you cannot do with Amazon or Clove. Is there anyway around it? To get the buds and trade-in credit while region unlocking the device, if I even have to worry about it.

There can be region lock issues unless where you buy the phone from sets it up properly before they ship it. When I buy from Clove UK, they turn on the phone and let it work with a local Sim Card before they pack it up and ship it. This elminates any issues with region unlock. In fact, I have never had the issue of OEM Unlock missing on an of the phones I have purchased from Clove UK unlike what many people have to deal with. So I encourage you to go to the CLOVE UK site and buy which ever one you want. Great Service - good prices - fast shipping. Good Luck.
I saw Clove there are also some people that have gotten their F variants here:

Amazon has the international versions for under MSRP. The S10 128 was $850 last I checked.

I'm considering buying a Note 9. I usually buy a year old model of a flagship phone when the prices come down. I see lots of Note 9 phones on amazon for reduced prices. It appears there are several different models and the descriptions from the sellers are usually not clear.
I saw another thread that said all the US versions were the same hardware. Can I buy an unlocked Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile phone and use it on any carrier? I will mostly be using AT&T and T-Mobile for now.
How could I tell if a phone is the US non-carrier branded model?
Can I flash a more universal ROM to a carrier branded phone and get rid of the carrier bloatware? Will the universal ROM still pass MDM security checks so I can use it with my company's MDM (Intune)?

Buy the USA unlocked model U1. You can then flash the USA T Mobile or AT&T rooms should you wish.
However, I also read that AT&T doesnt allow full network speeds for non AT&T devices. Maybe someone with an unlocked U1 on AT&T can chime in.

I have been running unlocked bought directly from Samsung phones since the note7 and I use them on AT&T. I am in Wyoming, and have noticed no loss of speed. I have Verizon for work phone and my unlocked phones is always faster in speed tests . Not very scientific buy my experience.
