Hi,
I've spent the past few hours searching for the answer to this, but it doesn't seem to be out there.
So it seems that there still aren't any custom ROMs for the S3 mini VE (I wish I'd looked deeper before buying one), which would be an easy solution to my problem.
I don't mind jelly bean all that much, but what I really wanted to use was Bluetooth 4.0 (low energy). Is there any way to flash a driver for Ble, or is it hidden too deeply in the ROM?
Thanks in advance

Hi, first of all thank you for the fantastic work of this forum and apologize for my bad English.
Recently, I bought a Galaxy Tab. The wireless model, GT-P1010.
I have a problem with a bluetooth keyboard. The keyboard works perfectly with my HTC HD2 with "Typhoon CM7 ROM" in this forum, but I can not connect to the Galaxy Tab.
Any suggestions? I'm desperate.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
your model doesn't support the bluetooth human interface device (HID) stack. so it won't connect to mice, or keyboards.
see? http://ars.samsung.com/customer/usa..._ID=0&AT_ID=373931&PROD_SUB_ID=0&PROD_ID=2098
What boodafli said is correct, unfortunately you won't be able to use HID devices with the Galaxy Tab. However, it does support the Serial Port Profile, which means it should work with a bluetooth keyboard that supports SPP, such as the Freedom Pro. Of course, that does have the downside of you having to buy another keyboard :-\
Thank you very much for your answers.
Really appreciate it all the help you can give me. I followed the steps in this manual:
http://i-miss-erin.blogspot.com/2009/09/connect-bluetooth-keyboard-in-android.html
to add the function of HID, but do not get it to work.
Can anyone support me how to do this?
Thanks!
so i find it has a different way of how to work compared to bluetooth keyboard

i know this is a bit of an old thread but I stumbled on to it while using google. I was having problems pairing bluetooth HID with my p1000.
I wanted to let you know as well as any other googlers that happen upon this thread that to solve the issue I upgraded to ICS CM9 stable.
I was originally using overcome rom 4.1.0 and my understanding is that there was some sort of issue with the overcome kernal and bluetooth hid.
I also learned many carriers disabled bluetooth hid either out of the box or with updates.
So to fix the problem I would suggest upgrading to ICS it has worked beautiful for my needs and fixed the problem I was having.
I have paired a bluetooth keyboard bluetooth mouse and ps3 controller.

I also have the same problem with my tab. It's kernal is HumberOS alroger version. My Bluetooth doesn't discover the keyboard. Anyhow when I was in Gingerbread I was able to do it. Any help?
Hi all,
I know this is at the back of lots of gamers mind's who are using an i9000.
I am running a Darky Rom so I still get TV out - which is a big thing for me.
I got rid of my HD2 for this i9000 - and I still have not been able to connect a Wiimote to my device.
I was playing FPSCE with the wiimote on the HD2 and I really really miss this functionality.
I am aware that the bluetooth Kernal is the issue and that the Cynogen mod roms and others based around this are running a different BT imp which addresses and resolves this issue, but if I jump to Cynogen, I loose my TV out which is sadly more important (blame Ttorrent).
Has anyone heard of anything happening anywhere that will let me play with my wiimote whilst TvOUTed?
I am not holding my breath
Many thanks
Hi,
I've recently installed C-ROM v6.6 on my device. This is the first custom rom I've tried on my Note and I'm absolutely stunned by the quality !!
The only BUT VERY IMPORTANT FROM ME thing is that audio is not passed though USB to my car dock. I've searched in the settings and did not find anything to enable it.
I cannot post to this rom related thread (which I don't undestand ... but rules are rules)
Can anybody please help me.
Regards.

I think that, starting from Android 4.2, Google dropped the feature of audio from USB. I got an original Samsung dock for car and audio connected to the rear audio connector it's not woking since 4.2.
Sorry if this question has been asked before but I did some searching and was unable to find a straight answer anywhere and my question is a bit different.
Is there any hope for getting the Sixaxis PS3 Controller app working properly on any of the Android builds for the Touchpad. CM9 is the only thing it worked on as far as I can tell.
CM 10.1, 10.2, 11, as well as the offshoots, none of them connect to the controller. They connect to other bluetooth things I've tried, like keyboards and speakers, but no PS3 controller. Any other controllers work that I'm not aware of?
I've heard people saying something along the lines of there being an issue with the bluetooth stack on the newer ROMs, or that it is just a problem with the newer Androids in general. Though my phone, Galaxy S4, is running a 4.4.4 Slimkat build, with the 3.4 kernel, and it connects to the controller no problem.
I greatly appreciate all the Touchpad developers and all you guys have done to keep this thing alive, it's simply amazing. I'm just wondering if any of you have any idea as to why this aspect doesn't work and if it is even feasible to get it working? As it's a large factor in determining what ROM I will run on my Touchpad. I have no problem staying on CM9 if that's what it comes down to, but if we could somehow get it working on KitKat or Lollipop, that would be fantastic.
I'm willing to do whatever to help if someone is able to help me. I'm no developer but I'm very comfortable with a computer and with flashing ROMs and whatnot, as well as troubleshooting issues, so I'd be able to test some things out, take some logs of things, in order to help someone more literate in the development side of things see what is going on and where the problem may lie. I'm sure I'm not the only one wishing this would work, and I'll help to get it working in any way I can.
Thanks in advance, guys.

Hello,
As other messages I ve read around, I ve been given a Samsung Gear 1 as present for Xmas. The problem is that I dont have a Samsung phone, I ve got a Sony Xperia S instead. After googling a lot, I have learnt you can make it work in many no Samsung android devices, but unfortunately I havent seen any example for my phone. I cant even activate it. When I connect both the phone and the Samsung gear, it seems they connect by bluetooth at first, but after a while the watch displays "bluetooth disconnect". Cant understand why... In short:
Does it worth to even try to make it work (if it is even possible) on my Xperia? What Samsung gear features am I going to lose without a Samsung phone including updating issues? (I have read you miss S-voice and weather..) I need to make up my mind whether keeping it or returning it.
Thank you very much in advance!
