[REQUEST] Deodexed ROM for SM-N920I - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Could any of the devs make a deodexed rom for our note 5 (SM-N920I) ?
That would be so great if we could start using xposed on the note 5...
Thanks so much!

i have deodex my stock firmware but there are some crashes happening like Package Access Helper crashed when checking storage, Nearby Services crashed in Gallery and tuiServices crashes in Launcher. You can disable latter two with Titanium but not Package Access Helper because without it you can't install apks. if you want link, PM me and i'll let you the procedure.

It is unofficially Official by @wanam my friend. I tested it along with @jthrasher47. You can check this link.

Thanks! But you need a deodexed rom for it, which we don't have...
Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk

@jthrasher47 posted a deodexed ROM for the t-mobile Note5, which I have been running on my N920I without issue for a few days now. (debloated version)
I installed the ROM, flashed arter97's kernel, and then flashed SuperSU 2.49. Xposed does run just fine using wanam's latest zip for s6.

i would like to try that one, can u link me to the Deodexed rom? and what xposed u used? 28 August?

Thats a bit of an old version "OGE". Latest is OH7...
So if anybody is capable, could someone post a deodexed version of the latest stock for N920I please?

you can use a deodexed rom of t-mobile then you can install wanam exposed but guess what ? if you install an unsupported exposed modules your phone will boot loop , so i advice you to stay on the samsung rom

question on xposed framework?

Will the xposed framework work on a root android one phone? Specifically the gravity box mod? Has someone installed the xposed framework on a stock android one rom?
My phone is kind of a daily driver, so just checking to see if some one already has done this and their experience if any.

It works perfect. I've been using the gravity box mod for quite a few days now and it works extremely well without any issues. I'm using stock android one ROM and have faced no issues so far.

Thanks guys. Based on feedback went ahead and rooted stock ROM. Got xposed installed and gravity box running.
Did not loose data as I did not unlock boot loader. So app data remained, which is what I wanted.
Overall, I would recommend anyone with this phone to go with xposed framework.
What are the other modules that you guys are finding helpful apart from gravity box?

Ex kitkat themer is another great module for getting better UI . Then there are others like xprivacy Bluetooth unlock toolkit android tuner (this one is an app and module combined in one) and is very useful . These are the ones i can remember now . Scroll through the list to discover others that you need. Hope this helped

Yes I did. Flashing the zip through recovery gets my phone stuck at boot animation and I have to restore a backup to get the phone back to normal.

Wanam 1.6 (Kitkat) --to-- Wanam 2.0 (Lollipop) - Dirty Flash -- Everything working!!

First of all .. I would like to thank Wanam for his wonderful rom..
Regd the flashing:
1. I took a nandroid backup of Wanam 1.6 with twrp 2.8.5.0 (good practice)
2. Copied Wanam 2.0 on Sdcard
3. Reboot into recovery, wiped dalvik cache/cache
4. Installed Wanam 2.0 (dirty flash over Wanam 1.6), reboot
5. OS upgraded to Lollipop, without losing my previous data, everything is working fine without FCs
6. Went to Download Mode, flashed bootloader+modem.tar by Wanam with Odin 3.07 as PDA, reboot
7. Thats it!!
Complete lollipop OS + bootloader + modem -- dirty flash over Wanam 1.6
I had a limitation, thats why I was unable to post in Wanam's thread

I'm not sure what you are saying, are you saying that you have the new xposed framework working on the new TW lollipop? if so can you give more details? I've tried but just get the bootloop as described in the op of the xposed thread

Wanam already has a Lollipop ROM posted ... I think OP is describing his experience flashing it
I am just trying to help users by describing my experience of dirty flashing lollipop over kitkat, bootloader and modem. I have read some posts on Wanam's thread.. some users are either confused or afraid to flash .. esp the bootloader and modem .. I created this thread as I was unable to post in Wanam's thread due to 10 posts restrictions..
And ofcourse Xposed is not working!!

Hi, thank you fro using XDA Assist. The best place to ask your question is in the xposed forum, http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed I'm going to have your thread moved there.
Good luck!

In case your ROM is based on Samsung's TouchWiz, Xposed Framework is not competible at the moment. See also this thread: [DISCUSSION] Xposed for Lollipop and search for a solution first before you ask about compatibility. Read the first post and maybe the second one

Depending on your custom ROM, check the corresponding thread:
for TouchWiz-based ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960
for CM or any other ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/discussion-xposed-marshmallow-t3249095

[Q] xposed on nexus 10 5.1.1

Will it work on android 5.1.1?
I only see it made for 5.1?
Rather not brick my tablet. I really need it to use the xposed multi window module!
Yes, but not all the modules are compatible with the 5.1 version. So be sure that module is working with. Sorry bad english
---------- Post added at 08:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:27 PM ----------
In Xposed General you can find a thread of working modules for 5.1
Already:
made a nandroid backup.
Downloaded xposed alpha what ever version
Flashed the zip in recovery
Rebooted
Everything was f**in great
I went to modules
Ticked the one for lucky patcher
Downloaded the halo multi window whatever module
Activated
Reboot
Bootloop
Went to recovery.
Restored my backup
And now I'm disappointed.
Should I just flash KitKat and go back to 4.4.4 for now or is xposed and its modules supposed to be fully functional with 5.x.x. Soon?
The multi window module helps me get my work done ridiculously easier lol
This module isn't yet compatible with Lollipop 5.1.1. In my opinion, if the module is really missing in the phone, you should go back to the Kitkat because the 5.1.1 version of Xposed Framework is unofficial for now. I think that the modules will be compatible when rovo (the original Xposed developer) update the Xposed for 5.1
Sorry bad english again ?
Just tested the X Multi Window module in the xposed alpha4 by romracer, and it don't stuck at the boot screen
Will depend on the ROM. I've seen posts that the Super Alpha does not play well with Chroma 5.1.1 because of some underhood mods that Chroma has in it's Framework
Working fine with Lolipopalooza 5.1.1
not working for me
Hi,
i flash xposed-sdk22-arm-20150514.zip. then it is still boot logo.... I have a clean install stock rom. I have root. TWRP recovery. Stock radio and kernel.
I don't want to sound like a neckbeard jerk like most of the people here but you NEED to read the Xposed threads in this section. Read the 5.1.1 ENTIRELY, then read the Lollipop one as well. All these issues are prevented with at least 120 seconds worth of reading.
THX, but my english is very bad. Can you please advise me more?

No it's not possible on stock 5.0.x Samsung ROMs. You either need to deodex your ROM or install one that is deodexed to use Xposed.
