I have searched for various forums and sites but could not get exact confirmation that Note 4 Duos aka 9100 supported by Samsung Gear Vr or Gear Innovator Edition.
Can anybody provide proper information regarding these devices. I live in India and want to buy Note 4 Duos (plus Gear VR).
Kindly provide any info/suggestion about these devices.
Thanks in Advance!

Don't see why it wouldn't work, as even if it doesn't support the n9100 specifically you can always change the build.prop to match the n910f.

Your suggestion semms quite good; wish it to be true and fact. ✌
But i dought there could be something related to firmware.
Because note 4 also previously was not supported by VR unless certain firmware update released.

It did support it if you changed the build.prop and sideloaded the oculus apps. But if you want to be sure you should post this question on the official oculus gear vr forums: https://forums.oculus.com/viewforum.php?f=62

Wait, does that mean that you already are owner of SGS3 and ripped S-Voice apk? If yes can you post it here, please.
Yeah in Hong Kong and shenzhen China where i live you can buy the sgs3. i already tried to give the. Apk to a friend who is running ics on his n7000 but the Apk fails to communicate to the server so it looks like we will have to wait till Samsung servers support this app on the gnote.

So there is another app other than S Beam that will work the same? My gf has the SGS3 and I was wondering what else would be compatible? I have the GT-P3113
Nope. That's NFC. The tab doesn't have it... that's hardware

This was done over on the Samsung Galaxy S3 threads by rwilco12 . I saw that we didn't have anything like it over here on the Galaxy S4 threads so I took a guess and found the RDF for the S4.
For more info check his thread over on the S3 forums http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2117229
Thanks rwilco12!!
Here is the S4 RDF latest entry...
http://device.sprintpcs.com/Samsung/SPH-L720/latest
you have to use Internet Explorer to view an RDF. For whatever reason it will only display correctly in Internet Explorer.
It shows that L720VPUAMC5 is the current version of the S4 ROM being tested.
Enjoy!!

And the odd thing is I don't see that one posted nor can I find it.
It's like the L900 - can't find it using the old convention.

Same here! I was gonna create one myself but good thing I searched first and found this... it's been so dead that's why I didn't even know there was one haha. The S3 RDF thread was monstrous!
Now... what the heck is "MC5"?! Unless they haven't updated it in a while, which would suck!

The rdf's are notorious for having incorrect info in them but if it is truly mc5 than it is old. Mc5 would be March 5th. And we have mf9 which is June 9th. But again you almost never know what to expect from the rdf.

Just my two cents from watching the forums I know over in the ATT n3 page they removed it and all links to it because they haven't proven that there isn't any harmful malware or anything else. So from all I have read if you use be careful and read everything fully.

Hi all I have found the best experience for me is to have a Stock OS that is rooted. I have don't this throughout various versions and wonder if I am running the latest. Now I'm aware that the code for UK is BTU. But it might be that I can get an more modern FW with English with a European code.
I'd basically like to know what the bleeding edge latest version is and if anyone can point me in the correct direction to download a stock rooted version.
Cheers

my opinion is that you should have tried searching xda forums instead of posting
further to that you could have tried using google search
i would assume that since you have a nexus 7 you are familiar with how to search on google
good luck with your search @ninjalandpirate
man i wish the mods would bring in the iron fist ruling like they did in the tf100 section
Hi sorry if that seemed rude. After XDA decided to remove themselves from tapatalk and charge for their cloned tapatalk XDA app I spent the money and bought it. However when I search it i searched the whole xda-verse. So search fail yes but not my fail.
All I can do is apologise if the 60+ thing seemed rude.
Thanks for your links I'll check them out. Never thought I'd get a rep for not searching

As far as Google searching goes I have found various sites like sammy but nothing will tell me what is the latest FW. Clearly something I have misunderstood about the codes (AMG4 AMJ etc) how do you tell whether AMJ4 is newer than AMG4?
And more apologies I'm kicking myself for triggering your scornful replies. I am familiar with Google yes.
Is there a definitive list or timeline maybe?
