xposed framework update hang - Xposed General

Hi
I am having a rooted note3,(N900A, KitKat) with safestrap.
I got a notification from Xposed framework that it is having a update. after clicking it, I got a screen having 4-5 option buttons. one of them in the top was install update.
After applying it asked for reboot.
I did.
then it is stuck at this for 17 hours.

tried to google it and found all of them are about ICS update.
help !!

didn't get any reply.
so removed the battery after 20 hours and the device refused to boot after it
went to safestrap recovery and wiped clean with default setting, happened to be factory reset.
Now I am back with my note3 , and installing everything from beginning.
I installed old version (2.6.1) of xposed framework and it is fine. I think the last experimental 2.7 version is buggy.

[Q] xposed framework 2.7-2.6.1 on kitkat 4.4.4 sms googleplay

Hi everyone i just got a note 4 coming from a note 2. Ive had exposed running great for years. Ive noticed when i rooted and installed exposed 2.7 or 2.6.1 on kitkat my sms took forever to send and when im installing or updating apps they will start go half way sometimes to 90 percent then pause for 5 to 10 minutes then finish off. This is with no modules installed. When i uninstall exposed everything goes fast again as it should. I know i cant be the only one experiencing this. As im typing this my keyboard freezes sometime for a couple seconds at very consistent intervals. Just wondering if there is something i can do or just maybe there is still some bugs and conflicts with 4.4.4. Also im on a note 4 team mobile rooted and teamwin recovery installed stock rom. Thanks
Guys, I made xposed 2.6.1 work with private mode on stock rom 4.4.2. Here's how you can do it. But do it exactly step by step or you'll mess it up. I started with flashing stock rom from odin with a full wipe.
-Opened Shealth and configured.
-Do not open private mode or finger scanner. Do not try to configure these two.
-Root with CF root in odin.
-Open supersu. Update binary. Reboot. Disable knox.
-Install xposed 2.6.1. Install wanam xposed and go to security option. Disable knox and also disable secure storage. Reboot.
-Now configure private mode.
Tell me if it works for you.

[Q] Has anyone successfully installed the Xposed Alpha on Lolipop 5.1?

I tried once and the phone was able to boot but my Google Services kept crashing upon loading the apps, but I am not sure if that was because I disabled some of the system apps (probably was honestly), thankfully I made a TWRP backup after rooting and was able to restore my phone, but since the FXZ hasn't been released yet for 5.1 I am hesitant to try again if nobody else has gotten it to work...
Has anyone had any success with installing the latest Xposed Alpha while on Lolipop 5.1?
Edit: Meh, screw it, trying again, I'll keep you guys updated on my progress...
Edit2: Booted up fine with no Google Services errors but complained about a modules.list file while initializing the framework so I am re-installing and wiping cache
Edit3: Same error, so I downloaded a module, enabled it and rebooted my phone
Edit4: After another lengthy optimization process... still doesn't work, stuck on Xposed initializing, downloaded a new version made on 6/24 and trying that with a cache wipe
Edit5: Still doesn't work, same error, stuck on "Initializing XposedBridge version 64"
Edit6: Determined to get this to work... so I uninstalled Xposed Installer alpha 3 and am using alpha 2
Edit7: After installing the older Installer alpha, I see that the framework version numbers are being reported correctly! Enabling a module and rebooting
Edit8: No crash for the test module, rebooting with GravityBox and XGels for a final test before confirming that it works
Edit9: Works like a charm! I'll post a tutorial in the general section on how to get it working
I got it working about two weeks ago, was working fine. I ended up flashing to the backup before xposed because some of the modules weren't working yet in lollipop and others that were, the custom rom that I'm running already covered the same thing in settings
Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk
Installed yesterday, the alpha 2 worked fine here as well, but I only use GravityBox.
theres already a FXZ/SBF http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/official-xt1058ghostretbr5-1-fxz-sbf-rom-t3144161/page2, its for the XT1058 Brazillian retail though.

Seems to be an issue with the .zip file. Download it again and check whether the problem still persists.
Yea i did. That's why i am a bit confused. I even tried an older version which i have installed countless times before after every nightly update but even that says corrupt zip now.

Did you flash a new nightly built of a custom ROM or a newer version of TWRP, maybe a bootstack? Such kind of things don't occur "all out of sudden".
I had flashed a new build of cm12.1. twrp is the same version. But i don't see what difference that would really make unless all nightlies since sept. 30th stopped support for xposed. Like i said before i had been reinstalling xposed each time i would update cm and never had an issue until recently.
No one has any ideas??
Go read the last few pages of the main thread. On Oct 5 they added a security fix to AOSP that broke xposed compatibility.

A new version of Xposed (v75) is available. Download the correct version for your device and report back.
same issue
hello fellas i had same issue when i tried to install,
corrupt zip file.
i was using twrp 2.8.4
android 5.0.1
with sdk21 arm 32bits v80 (same of my phone)
we have in comom is that our phone carrier is the same, Sprint Glaxy s4 sph720
I also came across the issue with the xposed installer saying it's corrupt. Here is the entire process I went through and got around this:
(Device is LG G3 D855 running CM13)
1) Made certain all previous xposed apps were uninstalled (mostly the installer itself)
2) Also made certain any previous xposed framework was uninstalled
3) Booted back into TWRP and created a new backup (just in case)
4) Installed xposed-v83-sdk23-arm.zip via TWRP (did not reboot in between steps 3 and 4)
5) Rebooted back into system, takes a while since it optimizes all apps
6) Tried to install the XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk and ran into the corruption issue
7) Also tried XposedInstaller_3.0-alpha2.apk to see if it had the same issues (it did)
8) Installed de.robv.android.xposed.installer_v33_36570c.apk just to see if it would run, it did
9) Once de.robv.android.xposed.installer_v33_36570c.apk was installed I reran XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk and it installed successfully
10) Rebooted again
11) I was then able to download and install xposed modules
I went through all of this initially because I wanted the SU (#) indicator to be hidden. I had xposed installed on CM12 and it worked well for me. I have missed a lot of the features available with xposed.
I apologize if I have left out any pertinent info. If anyone needs more info, please reply here and let me know. If I see any questions, I will try to respond.

Xposed and 6.0.1 Errors

So... I had my N6 on 6.0 stock with root, made room in the system to install Xposed and had GB running great. Then I got greedy and installed 6.0.1, made room in system again and installed Xposed - on reboot I get constant NFC service errors and the phone is unusable. Go back to 6.0 and it works great. Tried installing a debloated stock 6.0.1 rom, w/ system-less root and get the same result after flashing Xposed.
Any insight? Tried searching with no results.
Seems like the issue was with the new root method. My solution was to remove the new root method using Update-unSU and then flash the Su2.52.zip. Xposed seems to be working fine now.

I am using sytemless root on 6.0.1 with xposed and don't have these issues
OK... The problem is back.
I was on 6.0.1 stick firmware - rooted with SU2.52 - removed the foreign language keyboards to make enough room in system to install the xposed framework (sdk78_arm version) - rebooted and get NFC services errors and phone is frozen.
Loaded the 6.0.1 lite rom - used unSU - installed SU2.52 and xposed and same result/error.
Loaded the 6.0.1 lite rom - left the system less root - installed xposed and same thing again.
Anyone have thoughts? I swear I am not that much of a newb but I can't figure this out. Even tried downloading a fresh copy of xposed but same thing.

It is most likely not updated to work with those root methods yet. With the updates in security each android update is gonna need xposed to be updated. Even to the point that it may stop working all together. So I would get used to not having it to be honest. It is only a matter of time before it stops working all together.
Same issue happening to me, all roads pointing to systemless root. I'm sure Rovo will update. I'm using SuperSu v2.6.2r3 btw
Try to do factory reset throughout TWRP.
I had same problem yesterday. After I installed xposed framework, I could not use my phone due to NFC service error popup message. But now, everything seems okay after factory reset. - no more error message.

Help - I'm stuck on Xposed install

I have a Verizon HTC One M8 (rooted, S-Off, TWRP, unlocked bootloader) that I have finally upgraded from 4.4.4 to 6.0. To prevent any possible radio problems I read about I did a factory reset from the bootloader screen to ensure a fresh install. After making sure that the Marshmallow worked fine I flashed the ARM framework 85 through TWRP and then installed the Xposed app. Now I am stuck where it is not working and I have searched but could not find anyone with the same problem here. I'll include a screenshot so that you know what I mean.

Have you installed your modules, enabled them, and rebooted?

They were check and I had. Just to see I unchecked them all, rebooted, and then tried again and it looks like some but not most are working. Thank you, at least it's a start.

I had the same problem the first time I upgraded from Kit Kat to Marshmallow. My problem was that when I upgraded I reflashed the same modules that I had been using on Kit Kat..I found the modules that weren't working, uninstalled them, then re-installed the appropriate versions for Marshmallow (enabled the modules and rebooted) and everything worked great.. if this applies to you then give it a shot.
As far as your screenshot everything is working perfectly
I'm assuming that perhaps the unusable install/update and uninstall buttons maybe confusing you. That's normal those buttons no longer do anything they are only eyecandy at this juncture.
All versions must (at this time) be installed in Custom Recovery for those three functions. I hope I'm understanding your issue
