[Q] what is the best dialer app for note?

what is the best dialer app for note which does not show all the repeated calls in the log?
Example: If I called someone 5 times (continuously) because of busy or not answer, I find in log the call 5 times
Is there any dialer that will show the call 1 time with no. 5 next to it that means that I called this no. 5 times?
I think that HTC Sensation dialer is doing that

Rocket Dial Pro is an excellent dialer.
To replace the shortcut if you are using TouchWiz you must open the applications folder and edit items accordingly. Drag the App to the dock. Don't forget to save.

This is the feature I hate the most. Why can't you just drag them by holding...
I like the default.

What is better in Rocket Dial Pro than the exDialer? I read the users review on the market and they were negative!!

I like the default also (keys size, contacts log name size, the log is divided by days) the only problem with it is the repeated names on log

After using both of exdialer and Rocketdialer Pro, I loved the Rocketdialer Pro it has everything I want and more

I love touchpal dialer. Try it, its free.

Rocket Dial supports single hand operation for large screens , see below picture.
All the other features are amazing ^-^ , honestly , I am the developer .....

iam using rocket dialer for almost a year and iam on 3.3.6 now

can air view from note 2 run on note 1

hi I hv both device
and I found that s pan of note 1 also work on note 2
and we can also use it for air view on note 2
so its mean s pan are same but is there any chance that we enable air view function on note 1 after any Rom update or through any other tweak

Sure. Look, if you enter on a page in your favorite browser (Like Dolphin, Chrome, Stock, etc) and hover your spen in the hyperlinks you will see that appears an underline in the dock. Also if you go to Settings, Pen Settings and "Hovering Pen Icon" And hover your pen you will see a cursor. So, the Note 1, is fully compatible with AirView. Im SURE if the Jelly Bean Update for the note doesn't have AirView, someone can port it to the note 1 framework... Sorry for my english. I hope you understood me....

lil part of airview works for note 1 as per like the webpage menu mouse hover function. just be a SW function

Go to settings, Spensettings and tick "floting icon" or whatever it says on english.. Now you will have an icon (more like a dot) when youre hovering over the screen..

We also have spen hoovering on note 1 so air view is very much possible. It was that samsung didnt get the idea of air view 1 year back. In GB time some people even complain that hovering the pen on screen actually draw lines on the S-memo, in ics samsung worked on it and made a pointer mark. Now refining it made the air view. So all the note 1 owners a little patience will give u thia new feature.

Is it possible to develop an apk which can add airview to note 1?

It's already done airview work's completly on our n1 except in gallery.. check development thread there is a fix for airview by some dev in his rom check the rom title its mentioned

do you mean that we can get official JB for n7000 and then import airview with an app to it? (is it possible?)

official JB is here and there are fixes for airview..

Questions for Note 3 Owners

When you guys were on the Note 2 before updating to the Note 3 (or any Galaxy device), how long did it take for the update(s) to come out where you would get the UI from the Galaxy S device? For example, the phone, web browser, texting UI, etc updated for the Note 2 and it looks similar to the S4. Like I understand it's hard to explain, but I was wondering when will our Note 3's look like the S5's TW ui?

The answer is maybe never. Think about it you buy a device with one look learn it then they force a whole new look on you. This would outrage probably most novice users.

Can I get this without rooting or voiding my warranty? I hate Knox, but I don't want to trip it and I rather keep my warranty intact. I rooted my old Note on Verizon, but then unrooted it later and it's warranty is unvoided, but I rather not root alltogether and keep it clean.

I dont know about hidden file systems, just google it dude, lots of videos on youtube too about modules for xposed framework.

Hy...i have a problem wit huge battery drain..Under setting and battery I can find gifss deamon on the first place 40%.... and I assume this is the reason....can somebody tell me how can delete this think and what is it? I have stock version 4.4.2...thanks for help

Photo note convert image to edit not working (s note)

I had the galaxy note 4 and used the photo note and then converted to editable lines in s note. But now in note 5 there is no image conversion option in rows. Someone is going through it too?

we need to announce it.
Other people need to know before replacing the unit.
I talked to samsung and they could not answer.
this is nonsense. remove a device feature!!

I have already installed all the extensions the problem is that the function convert to edit photo does not work it just takes a picture and glue. It's the same function insert camera image. This is not photo note. It does not make a school whiteboard in lines of s note. Do you understand now

this feature has been removed! I went to a store to see a NOTE5 and could not use the "CONVERT TO EDIT" the note 4. I'm using the rom erobot port 11 note 5 and also has this function. It would be great if the dev could include this user function in rom there would be best!!

I too am missing the convert to edit on my Note 5. Out of all the features, this is the one I actually used and Samsung removed it from the Note 5 software.
Too bad.

I wish I had seen this before I spent over an hour on a call with Samsung trying to figure this out. Convert to text is definitly missing, so all you end up with is the ability to slice the image into sections of smaller images. Very disappointing.

I bought the note 5 only because the camera set + photo note. If all we open a complaint with Samsung we can force them to fix functionality.

it is easier to ask a developer of xda here to create a solution. using the rom note 4 believe is possible.

Very frustrating and disappointing. Worked so well on ythe Note 4, used it at work all the time for snapping whiteboards. Note 5 less than useful. photo note......not really. Should have renamed it to photo chop. The note functionality is gone.

I found that the app Office Lens works like the former version of photo note. It creates editable text after using it to take a picture.

Greetings from S Note! We sincerely apologize for the delay in reply.
With every new version of S Note new features are added while modifying and removing some features.
With Note 5, Photo note feature has been modified to exclude the text conversion.
Photo note will only allow to select particular portions in the picture and insert in S Note. Text present in pictures can not be converted to editable lines in S Note.
But as we said earlier with every new version features are added, modified and removed. Text conversion feature in photo note may be introduced again in future versions of S Note.
We can not confirm if this will really happen but there is always a possibility.

Hi, honestly I'm not trying to hijack this thread. Just need some clarification.
Is the Photo Note app the same app that was on the old Note 2's and Note 3's where you can take a picture and makes notes on the (virtual) back of the photo? I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge now and that would be one of my most desired features! Is Samsung NOT putting it on other phones because there is no S-Pen? If it does have the same functionality, is there any way to get this Photo Note apk so I could use it on my S7E? Thanks in advance!

If I am note mistaken it's either Shot&More or another version of the Burst Mode.
I remember seeing this function in action, at their Live Broadcast Release Preview Introduction for either the Note 5 or the S6, but I cant find any youtube video of it.

I was only able to find one of the MODE apk that work, the rest of them won't install

The mode I finally found for my photo that I posted is called Surround Shot that has several other features.
I found a youtube video about it and I am sharing a link.

OK found out alittle more about the app in reference to my photo that I post. The app was release back when S6 was release. The app was called Shot and More that was under the Surround Shot app. So it was an app within an app within another app. Crazy. I was able to install the app but it not functional. The phone or app freezes for about 15 seconds and gives you an option to send a notification about the failure to Samsung. I went ahead and just beg Samsung to bring that app and Live Broadcast back!!! I'm sure i'm not the only one missing these apps.
Funny thing is that Samsung beg for us to stay with them after the failure of the Note 7, and said they made the Note 8 better.
In my eyes, removing some of the great software apps is not making me happy either. I think it's time for me to dump Samsung and just go with Google Pixel 2 XL....
Them removing these software is a deal breaker for me.
