thanks for answer.... but why to close the thread? cant I create a thread? isnt it about roms?
Yes, everyone is entitled to create a new thread if they have a query which has not been asked before, they have searched and can not find answer or no threads exist about a particular rom, app etc already.
We would have preferred it if your query was asked in a PDAVIET rom thread where people using those roms could answer you more accurately, this is why someone has asked for this thread to be closed.
It is for this reason that I am closing this thread, and I would ask you to ask your query within a PDAVIET rom thread

[Q] New Rom

Hi
I would like to present you the Rom that are worth attention. Here at XDA one can not assume that because the topic author Rom does not want this to be here. So I present to you the Roma on the Polish side does not want to look at this advert to a forum or something like that just simply would like to present a very good Rom:
-Livengine (Android 2.3.7)
-Minicengine (Android 2.3.7)
I would give links, but can not because I have 10 thanks, but these can be found in google Roms
Please thanks them if I could help
Completely wrong section and why do you wanna post a ROM which maker doesn't want to be shared here?

I took the journey last week from Froyo on my tab p1000 to ICS. AOKP ICS milestone #6 works for me. To read about my experience, I have already posted in detail on my blog singaporeanipaduser.blogspot.com. It is a long story with all the necessary updated links from the main sources as well as from XDA forums.

[Q] [QUESTION] using custom roms

hi guys. heres my question. -- if i use a custom rom for my SGA , How long can i use the rom i installed? can i use it for a long time as long as it has no bugs like stock roms? even if theres an update on the rom i used , do i have to install the update?
First thing i would like to tell you that you can use any ROM for as much time as you want.If you are on a ROM which is bugless and better than stock so there is no problem in being on it.
Nextly as it goes for updates if your ROM support OTA updates then you can easily update it as on Stock but don't install updates from the Manufacturer untill not on Stock.
Abd installing updates depends totally on you if want you can if you dont its up to you.
Hit THANKS if Helped :good:
1. You can use it as long as you would
2. Some of custom rom have a view bugs, or the ui doesn't fit you. I think you should carefully choose your cusrom.
3. Usually rom update bring the good changes, or you can see the changelog first.
To avoid unwanted answers, i think you should use the Q&A thread.

hello everyone, noob here, and have a noob question about android...

Hello everyone, i'm noob in xda-developers and custom android roms in general. i've read some thread in here about making your own custom rom etc... So.. years ago i bought my first android phone, it was a local brand using msm8610 chipset. Now i already have newer phone, and my first phone is now obsolete. Now that i have a phone that i can play with, i want to understand more about making your own rom. while there's so much that i dont understand, here's what i think i know. To create a custom rom for your device, you at least have to compile your own kernel and make boot.img, and then combine those with some custom rom that you can find on the web.
Now what i want to know as a noob is this... Can we just extract the kernel from my phone's boot.img, then extract the device tree from that kernel, then find a phone with the same chipset(which in my case is msm8610), extract the kernel of that device and then replace the DTB with my device? can it? if it can, how do i put the dtb back to the other device's kernel? and if it can't, why can't it be done this way? i'm asking this questions because i find it hard to find the source kernel for my device since it's a local brand... i hope that masters in this forum can explain it to me in layman's term.... thank's in advance...
hello again... btw did you know the answer to my question about putting back DTB to the kernel.... i want to ask in Q&A section, but, since i'm a noob, i'm afraid that it will get me banned if i posted there...

Don't be afraid, go for it.
If you don't violate the rules you won't get banned.
Just make sure to post it into the relevant thread.
