I succesfully flashed Fusion V2 in my GNote. I've being trying to flash thru Odin a Stock Rom since I just prefer Stock. I flashed a GB Kernel, I think its called Abyss (sorry If I Mispell). And then try to flash the Stock ICS Rom. The process stops at:
FactoryFS.img
Nand write Start.
It stops right there.
What should I do????
Sorry for my english.
kindly post your full error log here, whether it was stopped with msg successfull0/failed 1 Or it was stuck?

The thing is that Odin doesnt show any error, it just stops. I waited 30mins and nothing so I unplugged the phone. The phone didnt show a download bar. The phone was in download mode.
That is really bad sign
Any way download any Stock GB ROM
and flash again with pit file
If your device is 16GB model (not 32GB) then use this pit with re partition option enable on PC Odin

It appears ODIN is struggling to find your device, Do you have the correct drivers installed ? Have you exited kies (including system tray?) Have you tried alternative USB ports ? Preferably direct into the MoBo (back of tower?) What shows up in ODIN when you connect your phone in download mode ?

whats happening? why cant i flash the rom??
How log has it been stuck like that for ??
Usually sticking at factoryfs.img is not a good sign, You can use the unbrick method to repartition the phone and get you up and running again, However you will lose some space (2-3gb)
Here's the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667886
I would wait for some confirmation from someone else firstly, Someone like the god himself - Dr.Ketan
Ive never bricked my note so luckily ive never had to try that method ^^

Do you have warranty ?? You could flash a stock ROM without pit, which will put your phone back into the bricked state, Then send it off for warranty ?

well i might have but I bought in Ebay. And live at Dominican Republic. There is no Samsung representative over here. And I dont have a Bill.
Well hold on for some other opinions, But if you dont get a solution then consider sending it to samsung, They should repair it, However you might have to pay postage charges, Give them a call first and blame it on a OTA / Kies update
Good day all, and I apologize for having my first post require help, but ive been playing with this thing for hours and hours to no prevail.
This is where i stand:
Rooted my phone using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43182804
Was on the train playing with game killer then chainfire: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.cf3d&hl=en
The phone shut off and on reboot it was stuck on the AT&T logo.
Did some reading and tried to do recovery, wipe data and cache and that didnt work.
Accessed download mode for the first time today and now i cant go into recovery mode any longer.
Can no longer get to the AT&T logo, just "GALAXY S4 ACTIVE" then it shuts off.
Downloaded Odin and tried to use this as firmware:http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23011596498370871

Try a different USB port, different cable, and drivers. If none of that works try a different computer
If download mode works you should be able to get it back
I've gotten to the point, after letting it charge for awhile, where i can now get back into recovery mode and i can get to the AT&T logo.
Any Idea of what i should do next?

+1. Make sure you have the proper USB drivers installed. An Odin flash is your best bet.

The phone shows " Firmware upgrade issue encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again". I cant go to recovery mode ie. vol up+home+power. THings I have tried:
1. with Kies the device isnt recognised. I have updated the driver as well.
2. with odin every thing fails... flashing "all samsung recovery.tar", flashing stock jelly bean, flashing .pit file
I have googled for days and tried many things but isnt working. Need help
Where and why the stock firmware flashing is going wrong?

Hello,
Now the odin is not even recognising the device, Before it couldnt perforn the NAND write.
Start fresh... Remove battery and let the phone rest for couple of minutes.. Then try again.. Just go ahead and flash a stock rom. And check where it fails.

As the log say "<ID:0/003> SetupConnection.." and not move ahead.. there is some connection problem with Phone and PC... Could be a driver problem.. or Kies might be running in the background...
There is no writing of data what so ever.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Tobsen, are you sure you're into Download Mode? I mean, the displays what it normally would?
Because if you're not you may try again with an USB jig.
Bricked phone, Odin and staple
Hi,
recently my daughter got as a present from some cousin Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 but it was locked with foreign Phone company and Android version was 2.2 . I wanted to flesh it first on 2.3.4 because I read somewhere that it's maximum for this phone. I used Odin but addressed wrong file for PDA and it started to write
>Enter CS for MD5
<Leave CS
(this was several times ) after that
>File analysis
and nothing else.
It bricked .
I only could start download mode.
I tried lot of things , saw that somebody use some 'Jig' from e-bay, but I was not prepared to wait for month or more , then I saw some gay is soldering 4 resistors of 100 k in line, I didn't have it by hand (it was late night ) but I tried something what was on my desk. I use one office staple , unwind it , made something like U shape with ends on maybe 4 mm space and put in mini USB , moved it left - right not more then part of one second . After that screen become black. I took battery out than in and enter in download mode. After that Odin did his job with success and phone is now alive. Maybe I was lucky bat it worked.
regards
So I got the unlocked version and downloaded the Beta. Anyway, it's causing problems with some of my apps and neutered down others like gmail you can just auto guess an email address when sending an email and other reasons too I want this POS off my phone.
Someone on android central said go into smart switch. I go in there and it gives no option to roll back. Just asks if you want to transfer from an old device using a cable or do it wireless, no other options.
I don't want this on my phone. I need it off it.
It's usually a good idea to understand how to restore before installing unstable software on your phone... The instructions are on the registration page in Samsung Members, that you visited when you registered for the beta.
Just download the latest Oreo firmware from Samfirm and reinstall with Odin.
I think OP question was about official method to roll back to Oreo. I think he or she would need to use the "deregister" option within the Samsung members app then try using smartswitch or whatever that was mentioned in the official faq .

Yeah, I gave that answer. "The instructions are on the registration page in Samsung Members, that you visited when you registered for the beta."
I am trying this now myself. Backing up first just in case . The option to roll back on the PC via smartswitch was available to me even without deregistering , but we'll seen if it works in a few moments.

Ok, just finished rolling back to oreo using smartswitch via PC. I didn't need to deregister from the Samsung beta member app.
A couple of observations, it wiped the device completely and also the last backup I had performed prior to rolling back oreo ( was a one ui backup ) would not restore my 8.5k text messages. It shows them all in smartswitch on my PC as well as not giving any errors during restore, says successful yet when you open Samsung messages there is nothing there. Just an fyi that the txt messages backup from One UI won't restore back to Oreo.

So if I roll back to Oreo I will lose my text messages even though I backed them up?

I am actually having issues here also. I installed the beta, its fine. But I need to return the phone to Best Buy. I ended up finally getting my Samsung.com order. When I entered the beta I confirmed there is a downgrade path with Samsung Smart Switch. When I connect the phone, it recognizes it, and it even has the option "restore to previous software" simple, I clicked that, it downloaded, rebooted my phone into download mode, and then nothing. Just sits there. I have tried rebooting the PC, a/v turned off. usb 2.0 and usb 3.0, OEM cable and a high end 3rd party cable. Any other idea?
I can use odin, I havent used it since s4 days. But I can do it if needed, I was worried it wouldnt like reverting back to the stock firmware after this beta.
