Can I update my M7? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I'm a bit confused regarding Custom ROM's and Firmware....
A while ago I rooted my phone and installed ViperOne 7.0.1, but on their website to upgrade to ViperOne 9 it says "The 9.x.x rom is based on HTC latest 5.0.2 base and requires you to update your firmware to 5.0.2 version!".
I'm a bit confused, what is the firmware version?
On my phone for Software number (which I believe is the same as firmware version????) it says "ViperOne 7.0.1"
My phone is S-ON and HBOOT 1.57 so if I need S-OFF I will have to apparently use Sunshine, do I need S-OFF?
Here are the details I have found for my phone

There is no RUU available for your phone version, if you want to use a RUU you'll need to s-off the phone so you can flash another version RUU or flash the lower decrypted version of your phone 1.29.401.2
For OTA updates, you need stock recovery + all stock system files and /data/preload files

Please edit your post and remove your imei and serial number you don't want to make those public :good:
There is no ruu you can use with s-on. You will need to use a Rom or a nandroid. I have stock o2 nandroid backup if you need here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95864024717074289
Or you will need to use a custom Rom. If you flash TWRP 2.8.5.0 you can access your storage via mtp in recovery. With older versions you will need to use adb push to get the files to your devices storage

No problem. Should work if your firmware is kk but if you updated firmware you'd have to use lollipop ruu

You can flash this rom which will reset the phone back to stock and you'll also be able to download and install ota updates.
http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_3-62-401-1-zip-2/
Flash using twrp recovery, select yes for stock recovery and stock radio, select "no" when asked to root.
This is the easiest way imo but since you have S-OFF you could also update your firmware and flash one of the latest RUU so you don't have to do all the ota updates which is slightly more complicated than the above solution.
Thank You for your help... Now my HTC one is back to its original ROM. But I still have the problem with it primary camera. It still Pinky Blurry but my secondary camera is good. And it signal recepient is very poor (only 1 Bar) while other phone is get full signal receive. If u can help me 1 more time I will really appreciate it.

the pink pictures wasnt caused by arhd. its a well know hardware issue caused by heat, the only to solve this is to replace the camera.
