Hello,
I have Moto X XT1058, I was looking for a call recorder on play store, but none of them work properly as they do not record recipient voice. I read on some forum that I have to root my mobile in order to make call recorder work properly.
So I tried different method of rooting this device but none of them worked.
If anyone here knows how to root Moto X than please share.
Here's my mobile specifications
Model Number : Moto X
Android Version : 4.4.4
Kernel Version : 3.4.42-gb444b1-00004-g6b785f7
System Version 212.44.26.ghost_att.ATT.en.US
Build number : KXA21.12-L1.26
Thanks

Hey folks I recently purchased an AT&T Moto X used and I'm trying to figure out if my phone is on the latest build. I have noticed that all the other Moto X variants have different update dates and such. So for any AT&T Moto X users out there please tell me what's the latest build number for the device. (I am on 129.12.54.ghost) thanks in advance!
* I couldn't find an AT&T specific forum so I posted it in the moto x. Sorry if post is not in right spot.

I have 139.12.54 on my Moto X
Info for root:

If it is 139.12.54.ghost_att.ATT.en.US then it is the updated firmware with the camera fix and the exploit won't work.
If it is 139.9.51.ghost_att.ATT.en.US then you are on the firmware that the phone was shipped with upon release and the exploit will work.

I searched but I didn't received for Indian model of moto x .I tried to root my phone using slap my moto but it didn't work
There is a whole Indian model thread and a reference guide for rooting. Please just search next time.
It makes no difference what area or carrier you're on.... Rooting methods depend on Android version and locked or unlocked bootloader.
Hi everyone i have a situation with my moto x, a few months ago i updated the X with the retail 4.4.4 of verizon (i was on t-mobile 4.4.3) after i updated my moto x model change from XT1053 to XT1060 (i saw that when i used antutu) , now i wanna install the 4.4.4 retail from T-mobile but i don't know if there will be a problem because of that.
So can anyone tell me if i can brick or kill my phone by doing that? it'll be with the same android version but with different carrier. I'm on a unlocked moto x from nextel but my carrier is telcel Mexico
By the way this is the retail i donwload XT1053_TMO_RETAIL-US_4.4.4_KXA21.12-L1.29.1_2_cid9_CFC_1FF.xml.zip
Thanks in advance, hope someone can help me :fingers-crossed:

Well, this is the 2013 X group.. The bootloader on the 2013 X for Republic Wireless (XT1049) can not have its bootloader unlocked once on 4.4.4, and I'm not aware of a root method that works on the RW XT1049 once on 4.4.4. IF you are looking for SIM unlock (aka carrier unlock) there was an option for the 2013 X from RW, but I'm not aware if it works or not once you get on 4.4.4
Further, since they are different phones, and use different roms, I'm not sure any of the XT1049 2013 X for Republic wirelelss would apply to a 2014 X for Republic Wireless.
You might have better luck posting in the 2014 X group. -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-2014
Have you tried Sunshine app? If not just Google search it and let it test your device if it can unlock bootloader. Cost me $25.

Hello - I have a Moto X 2013 on T-Mobile. On T-Mobile's site it lists 4.4.3 as the latest version; however, on the web it says that the original Moto X would be getting 5.1. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.
