CM-13.0 Unofficial Test Rom (Lollipop)

EDIT: Title is wrong, i meant marshmallow not lollipop
Hi everyone,
you know the deal, rom will probably not boot, and if so excpect nothing to work and the risk as always is on you, I just need some people to test this rom out, added some commits and stuff ill post an official rom if it even boots

This phone is dead but I still use my White OB as an FM Radio/ MP3 player everyday at home. All I want is a stable KitKat ROM, if I could get that, I would use it as my daily driver. Right now I'm thinking about getting either the the S4 mini plus or Z5 Compact.

Probably not. Did this ROM boot for you? What ROM are you using on your P970 as your daily driver?

no,just booting,but nothing happens.daily driver Mackay reloded,the most stable for me and "fast"

Android 6 vs Android 5, which is better?

Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is better.
Use Google, you can find out why.
And if you're asking specifically about our device, then Android Marshmallow is better. The battery life in marshmallow CM is twice that of lollipop thanks to Doze and the new enhancements to battery life.
Lollipop is at End Of Life.

It's better for people who can make it work for them. ..

Look at all the people with bricked devices as a result of the upgrade. Plus you can't view the content of your phone on your PC not can you load any files to your your memory card.. My advice stay with lolipop til there is a solution to these issues. Just saying ...

Another question is that if Marshmallow is so good why are so many people installing it , not liking it and bricking their phones in an attempt to downgrade...? BTW I up graded my phone to 6.0 using the xt1069 Brazilian version with the TWRP recovery method and then downgraded back to 5.0.2 using the easy installer with not problems at all. It's only when I used the Indian soak test there my phone bricked whilst trying to downgrade.

@garyben60 Idk what you've done with your phone but I can browse my files just fine on my PC and my SD card is working too.

Well it depends
Stock 6.0 is good, but when it comes to multitasking IMO it slows down . Also 6.0.1 has better improvements.
CM13(6.0.1)/Custom 6.0.1 is great, but the touch screen bug is a deal breaker for me. It messes up scrolling in Firefox, aiming in games is really really bad, and some games do not respond to touch at all.
Stock 5.0.2 is too slow for me, it's bad at multitasking
Custom 5.1.1 (on slimsaber ATM) is the android version/ROM that works best on me.
Don't take my opinion as final, test out the ROMs for yourself!

check the last page of the rom thread for my review. Make sure that once you complete setup wizard, go to settings>sound&notif>other sounds and disable screen locking sounds and touch sounds. Don't forget to do this immediately otherwise it may result in heavy AudioMix wakelock. I recommend highly CM12.1 decipher kernel with this ROM for battery.

bugs: all.. the rom boots,no lockscreen no call and message no camera no sound(have to patch mixer_paths.xml) no wifi no data no signal yeah settings fc on certain settings.. a lot to work for this rom to get it working... need to build a kernel for this cm11 but if you know how to build it you will not only help me you will help others i am trying to make it to but linux complications as usualy

ohh i forgot to mention a big problem.....
i used a cm11 rom from huawei y550 and done some changing in the rom so it can run on this device an took htc-s kernel and put it in that cm11..
but yeah cm12.1 that im testing is almost bugles the camera is the biggest bug currently need drivers for the camera an i will release it

ROM is working kinda bad on my phone.
Bugs (for me): external SD not working, home button not working, most of the apps chrashes instantly

thanks i know but there is a big chance of me failing to get it to work not much drivers ya know .. specialy for camera i cant find a cm11 rom for a device with the same chip (msm8916) that has x64 architecture it would be no problem for me to get it working but yeah if you dont have pain you will not get gain i guess

i hard bricked my device.. if you guys wan get future updates i will need a testers but testers have to know the risk of getting their device bricked just as i did with min but there are small chances but yeah i guess i ****ed up

Sure, why not, i have my device pretty much destroyed (going into hboot = 0PCVIMG.ZIP fail and reboot into fastboot where it repeats, OS laggy as hell, camera glass is gone and backplate falls off when im touching it, etc.) and i want to help even a bit.

Almost every single ROM here is stable enough for daily uses, use one of them that suits you, don't need to think about Network Issues.

i prefer custom ROM based MIUI just like Xiaomi Eu / MiuiPRO / MiuiGlobe in your case for network

Use rr Luis, using it for months no problem faced, good customisation and battery backup, use clarity v2.0 custom kernel for good battery backup

hey thanks for the reply the thing what im a wee bit worried about is that when i installed RR rom the stable and final one it worked awsome here.. the problem is once i left Mumbai and went to Hyderabad i lost all signal and the phone would barly start for like a min and then automaticly restart. i even reformated and reinstalled but no luck. byt the end of it i had no phone for 3 days that i was there my bad luck i guess

Oh. I never faced that problem, neither many of us. So I can't help with the matter. If you still want to use custom ROMs, try RR Luis build as the upper one said or try another one, if the problem still exists and you still want to use custom ROM, then contact the developer with proper details. Or change to MIUI based ROM, as the upper one said.
*Also try to flash the latest firmware.

Hi , sorry this might be off topic, but does anyone know if it would be possible to port any Redmi note 4 Rom Official or Cutom, to the PPTV King 7 device? As this has the same chip and is practically the same. I would really love to learn how to port Roms from one device to another, but have only flashing Rom experience.
If anyone knows if iit in fact this would be possible to do and any starting points, please can you pm me.
