Well it had been an awesome 2 years with this phone, but it is just outdated and lacks speed. My wife and I are switching to the galaxy light, she had an S1. The quadcore makes a difference. And comes stock at 1.4ghz I'll miss this little phone a lot, but its time to move on. I'll still be around to answer questions but not on a regular basis.

Sad to see you go, but I understand. I had an S1 before the Exhibit and it was a nice phone. Good luck and nice to know you'll still be here occasionally.
Still using my sgh t679.
I like that it's rooted, small screen (hate the new mini tablet phones people have), and that if I lose it I won't be out 400 or so USD...
And suprising amount of apps are compatible, don't know how long this will last since i am still on 2.3.5 android.
Its so fast and it has wifi calling!!!! How I missed that.

I thought the exhibit could do WiFi calling through Skype, but when I tried today it wouldn't call with the dial pad. Fail! I will like that option.

$40?!? Where'd you get it for $40? Is that what T-Mobile is charging, with a $240 total?

Got it. $10 a month is really nice, but when I can get it for half that online, I will get it from ebay, maybe. I'm still waiting to hear from t-mobile about working at a store. If that happens, maybe I can get the phone even cheaper. On the T-Mobile site it's 0 down, $9 a month. Why are you paying $40?
Did you buy the phone already? QVC has it for $150 and offers financing to break up the payments without paying more. "Order two and save on shipping!"
Its not$40 a month, it was a $40 down payment. Because my credit is not the greatest.

No. It's 40 down 10/month, right? I understand about the credit. I have horrible credit, as well. I'm glad you're getting the phone. I'm very, very jealous.
I already have it, went into the store and got them. And im very happy with it

Awesome. It's good to hear that it's as good as I have heard. And, I see you already know about the thread on rooting this phone. I think it's still too new. Being on the cutting edge isn't always so good. AD told me about the Light and only went to the S2 because it was already rooted. I'm gonna be patient and wait the few months until I can root it and leave it rooted-stock, anyway. At least for a little while, just to get rid of the bloatware.
That's mainly what I want to do

Now I feel even worse. Not only do I have a weak-ass Exhibit, but my phone is even slow for an Exhibit.... Que the parade of S2 cheerleaders to come in here talking about how much they love their phones....
Lol yeah especially @ArtfulDodger

Nah. He's a respectful one. I think one of them even got banned for talking trash.... I don't remember any of their logins, as I don't pay attention to that crap.
I rooted an ATT Note 3 but I need to put a SIM from T-mobile and now Note 3 is asking for an unlocking PIN... Am I missing something? I thought once you rooted the phone you can use it on any network that take sims card...
or has this change?
please would some one lead me to the right direction for the love of god?
No I think there was a way to do this on an early build... You need to use an unlocking service should cost around 30

Rooting does not network unlock the phone. Whoever or wherever you got that idea from is very, very wrong.

Just use chainfire region unlock away app.
That only works on MI9 firmware.

I did regionlockaway on my MJ5 ATT rooted Note 3 and it did not work, it shows rooted but I need to use it on t-mobile network when I insert sim I get enter PIn to unlock
As I stated I the post you quoted it will only work on MI9 basebands and earlier. MJ5 will years no results.
You will either have to contact AT&T and hope they give you the unlock code, or find a website that offers unlocking for money. There is no way around it.

If you want development with all the increases in security on Lollipop and more planned on Marshmellow...you should consider the Nexus phones. 2 are due out soon from LG and Huawei.

the nexus 6 is on vzw.. thing is with nexus devices is they are typically not tampered with like carrier branded devices.. think of it like the iPhone.. they are very similar across the board.

Is there a root for the s6 edge 925a for the mm 6.0.1?

Dang. Maybe one day, probably not though.

Not likely since AT&T have this phone locked down so tight
Very soon, at&t is going to lose this customer due to slow ota releases and unprofitable Samsung devices. I live in the south (Mississippi) any suggestions as to a carrier that has unlocked bootloader, as well as good service?
