When I try to play a song, I get a message saying "Sorry, this player does not support this type of file."
When I restart my phone, It works for a little bit, but then the problem resumes.
I am 100% positive that my phone volume is up, and ALL of my music files are MP3.

Hi there,
i have a strange phenomenon. When i play audiobook MP3 with the Media Player, it won't continue with the next track although it's in the playlist. Sometimes, when i wait about 1 minute, it goes to the next song, sometimes not and stays in state "playing" at the end of the track not jumping to the next.
So far so bad. When I stop the Media Player now (not terminate app, just going back to home screen) and turn off phone (standby) the battery is empty next morning and it plays no sound anymore.
Neither alarm nor mediaplayer nor anything else i try to play a sound. Only a soft reset helps.
Any ideas? Is it Windows Mobile 6.1 that is that buggy?
up - anybody has the same phenomenon or a solution?
Currently i'm searching alternative players, but mostly freeware is not really quality software
it works ok here, but I'm finding the Diamond to become very sluggish when playing MP3s in the media player, odd and annoying !
Okay, I'm a noob and I admit it. I've been lurking for several months, though, so that has to be worth something! And yes, I did a search before deciding to ask this question.
Anyway, I've unlocked my Tilt although I have not changed the ROM from the stock AT&T load. A few days ago I loaded some MP3's onto my SD card and began trying to use my tilt as an MP3 player. After about 30 minutes of playing using Media Player, the sound suddenly quit. ONLY THE OUTPUT FROM MEDIA PLAYER WAS AFFECTED. I shut down media player and restarted it. No effect. I tried HTC Album. No effect. It required a soft boot to get the sound back. I figured this was a blip, and so I tried again. The same problem occurred again. Rebooted the phone. The third time around, I noticed that the audio seemed to quit right after the music paused while Media player attempted to buffer the file. After buffering was complete, media player continued to play the song, but no more audio. BTW, this is true whether I use a wired head set or try and use the internal speaker.
Does anyone have any idea on how I might fix this problem? It doesn't seem like a media player problem, since HTC album refuses to make noise after this occurs.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hi,
I accidently deleted some files on my samsung GT P1000 system folder which i didn't remember any more (what a silly act ) and ever since my samsung galaxy tab 7.0 got no sound came out from its built-in loudspeakers when playing songs or whatching video (media). But for notification sounds, do come out from built-in loudspeakers. built-in microphone also doesn't pick any sound.
But when i plug in the headphone/mic earpiece, i can hear sound when i play song using any media player or watching youtube video as well as able to make call just as it normaly would.
Also i experience that the music player runs unexpectedly and wasn't able to close it except thru task manager. But after a while, it will starts to run by itself again even in the middle of running other application. Very anoying and seems drainning battery too.
I tried to set the sounds and notifications on settings>sound settings>volume all set to max but to no avail.
Any help please?
Hi I updated my Note to ICS (LQ2) and for some reason whenever I listen to music during quiet parts of a song there will be no sound. When the song gets louder then the sound comes back on. This happens when the media volume is low like at 1 or 2. When I turn the media volume up however, it plays normally. Does anyone else experience this? I tried reflashing but the problem is still there. I've also tried other music players and even on Youtube videos the same thing happens.
