settings tab view and s-pen alerts not working - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Dear friends, kindly guide me to find 'tab' view of settings on my Note 5 SM-N9208,
Eventhough,I've switched S-pen alerts ON,I'm not getting any message or sound alert if the S-pen is kept out for a long time and the screen is switched off!

Different models of the phone have either a List View or Tab View for settings, and it seems like there's no way to switch it.
For the S-Pen, the alert you should get is, if you have the pen out the phone and you walk away without it, then the phone will alert you telling you're leaving the S-Pen behind.

T-Mobile S6 Lock Screen bug with New messages?

First off I want to point out that this bug seems to be related only to T-Mobile S6's. I haven't seen this behavior on any other S6 other than multiple T-Mobile S6's.
So I have my lock screen set to lock automatically within 2 minutes, and to not lock instantly with the power key, with fingerprint security. Normally, within those two minutes, on any other S6 if you receive a text, the phone will turn on and give you a new message notification on a lock screen set to "swipe" to unlock; no fingerprint needed.
However, on the T-Mobile S6, if you receive a text within that 2 minute window, the phone will unlock itself to whatever screen you had locked it on. The phone will completely bypass the lock screen from standby, and display a new message notification on whatever screen it was last on. This is incredibly frustrating as sometimes I respond to a text, put my phone in my pocket and sometimes ignore new messages. And if those messages get to me within 2 minutes, I often end up pocket dialing them if I chose to ignore my phone. While I know that seems like an odd and specific scenario, its pretty common for me at work, and is the reason why every other Samsung S6 defaults to a "swipe" type lock screen to prevent that from happening.
I work a a major electronics department store, in the mobile department. Although we do not offer T-Mobile phones, I personally have a T-Mobile S6. I have never seen an AT&T or VZW S6 do this.
Any other T-Mobile S6 users noticed this?

[LED view cover] - Does anyone noticed Note 7's cover smarter then the S7's?

I've got the S7 edge and I bought a led view cover. There are a few choices of caller animations/pictures.
But then the Note 7 came out and so the LED cover for it. I saw a test video about it and there is more settings option (what I think a lot of user missed before): you can create a caller picture.
What's more: not just a caller picture, but you got a surface with the dots and you can light them up and after you can use it for any application as an indicator.
So I'm asking wether someone noticed it too because that's a really great feature and because the phone's LED blinker is fully covered we are really need this feature and I think it's just a question of software.

Floating Icon For S-Pen Randomly Showing Up

I have this setting turned off. It's been off since the day I got the phone in the mail but suddenly I'm starting to see the floating icon pop up. It's random. It doesn't happen when I pull the S-Pen out but I'll just have my S-Pen sitting next to my phone (outside the phone) on my office desk like I usually do, then I'll start using an app and suddenly I see the floating icon pop its head. I'll touch it then touch away from it on the screen and it disappears.
But it's randomly reappearing. Different apps, different times during the day. I've restarted the phone and clean cache here and there and it still doing it. So weird. Has anyone else seen this on their phone?
EDIT: I attached a pic I just now took with my S8 Plus to show you what I'm talking about. I'm in the S-Pen settings and you can clearly see the option for the floating icon is set to OFF yet it's still there on the side and you can see my S-Pen chilling next to the phone on my desk. I touched the icon, then touched away from the screen and it disappeared. I locked the screen, waited a few seconds, turned the screen back on and the floating icon reappeared.
Something is funky. I have no idea what's causing this.
I have a cheap Chinese-made leather case with poorly placed magnets that causes this behavior. It became so annoying that I stopped using the case (and the problem went away). Perhaps your problem may be a nearby magnetic field too.
I think the Note 8 is having some teething problems. I want that icon on my front page and have it turned on in the settings but it only shows when it feels like it? I suspect Samsung will address this situation when it updates the Note 8?

[Q] Galaxy Note 5 SMS pop up

Hello everyone,
Small issue. My galaxy note 5 as of yesterday would work ok. When I get a text that little window would appear and show a portion of the text and what it said. This morning I get texts and it shows up top in the notification screen but not the pop up like it use to. I have went into settings turned off tested back on tested. Restarted phone, powered off phone with the same result. Any ideas.

How do you get notifications?

For years I used my led for notifications. Even knew what kind of notification had based on the color of the led and with no need of an annoying sound.
Now I'm lost. Always on display for me it's a waste of battery. The edge lighting is not working properly (look for the thread about it) and anyway it only lights once, I would like to see it 10 minutes after. The light around the camera is useless, as Samsung didn't implement it.
I'm using always on edge, but it's not working properly with autoinput (an app I use so I don't have to slide to unlock every single time). Every notification I get the screen turns on, so now I'm using only when screen is on.
What do you do for notifications?
I started with a Garmin Fenix 3 HR a few years ago. Then to a Pebble 2 HR. Now, a Fenix 5S Plus. Added bonus: Smart Lock when the watch is connected (whenever I'm not in bed or the shower) negates the need to use the FPR.
I had an OG Pixel XL where to notification shows up for a bit with the first sentence of the notification. It does on a black screen too so great for battery, basically an Always on display that is activated by notifications. So easy to glance at my phone when getting a notification and decide whether to answer or ignore.
Now I'm lost too, there's no built in way to have the screen turn on when you get a notification so I'm using a third party app but it actually just shows the lockscreen not a black screen with the notification in the middle so it's jarring as hell.
