Recovery Update
The Recovery will be updated with nightly version of the 18-07-2013.
Awesome work buddy !!. Downloading it. But will flash over the weekend.
Thanks for continuing work on this device.
Nice work! I've flashed it yesterday when you posted it on goo.im and it's running nice so far. Got sod but I put wifi to always on, anyways it doesn't seem to drain too much battery. Also maybe you should update the recovery as this one cause 0 folder nesting when flashing(I got emulated/0/0/0...) and this is repaired with newer recovery, I don't remind wich number. Everything else seem to be working perfectly, some little strange thing but I think it's due to CM nighlties and could be working correctly later. I'll thank you so much for keeping our device alive. Keep it going.
Edit: The recovery issue is fixed since cwm 6.0.2.3 and we got 6.0.1.1 so that's why it's nesting but that isn't dangerous or anything, it can be deleted and the data are simply at the bottom of the 0 folders tree.

It isn't made for our device yet so we can't flash it. It need to be updated and compiled from the rom source then it can be flashed so for now we have to live with this version.

Hey, kaschemme, thanks so much for the update! I am looking forward to giving it a try, although I do use the USB Storage function a lot (it's the easiest way to copy movies onto my K1), so I might wait until after my vacation to do the update. I'd also like to see how the GPS functions are working, since I use my K1 a lot when I go geocaching. But it's wonderful to see that the K1 is still moving forward! :good:

Right, USB host support (attaching a USB flash drive to the K1) is exactly what I mean, and what I use. I was fortunate enough to get one of those non-existent adapters.

The problem is the NVFlash links.
The file is not at http://goo.im/devs/kaschemme/nvflash/nvflash_CM10.1_Wifi_Kaschemme_v1.zip
The file is at http://goo.im/devs/kaschemme/cm10/nvflash/nvflash_CM10.1_Wifi_Kaschemme_v1.zip
Means it is inside the CM10 directory (linkage truncates whole sentence)
Thanks, ti-pich! Thanks Kaschemme!

You are really lucky then, this is probably the only thing missing on this tablet, and that's why I'm waiting for google to release their nexus 7 full hd with a regular micro usb. Anyway, sorry I misunderstood what you said.

I downloaded it, and it does appear to have the correct MD5 hash signature, but if I try to open or extract it using Windows Explorer, I also get a message that it is invalid or corrupted. However, if I use 7-Zip, it seems to open and extract with no problem. Perhaps it was built using some type of zip compression that isn't supported by the built-in Windows compression tools?

Thank you. I was using winrar which is what I always use. In any case, I flashed this rom's cwm version over krook1's nvflash starter v2 and it worked, but gives me the same errors as krook1's version 6.1, which are random apps closing with no explanation whatsoever... Not even a "sorry, xyz app has forced closed" message. Keep in mind this is a fresh install.
This flash also started complaining that email had closed right from the start, too. I hope this helps you guys...
hei Kaschemme.
thanks u so much!!!
this rom run so well.. the performance got better from the previous one.
i dont found any bug yet, but i read ur first post, that there is a bug on Headset detection...
let me try when i got home
anyway, great job!
Edited :
i just try to plug my headset on my K1..
And it works well..
So up to now, i dont found a bug yet...
Cool!

Take a nandroid backup and try doing a clean flash (factory reset then flash), in case you did a dirty flash.

Hello,
I cannot connect with android file transfer for Mac and My Note 5- It says try restarting or reconnecting. ANybody else get it to work? I have it set to MTP and I have restarted; it never works. I chatted with Samsung and they said to install smart switch which will install the drivers, when I did this I got a note saying AFT would likely not work and it did not. So I cannot transfer anything...
Help
thanks,
There is a arrow beside name of device pointing down. Click that and then double click the file. Opens up for you to transfer. Way better than AFT ever was
Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
download and use an app called AirDroid
Sounds promising. Please explain in more detail. Where are you looking to see the name and down arrow? What app do you wind up using?

I have the same exact problem.
Neither T-mobile, nor Google nor Samsung could help. (That wasted hours of cell phone time!) I did get the Software Data Cable app to work with Filezilla, but WiFi xfer is way way too slow, as I needed to xfer 36 Gb of data.
Final solution was to use my wife's Windows PC. Our Note5s mount there as hard drives, giving full and fast access. Why, oh why, can't a Mac do that?!??

Hi,
I got it AFT to work on my MAC. I had to uninstall KIES first, Install AFT and reboot my MAC.
After that I was able to use AFT (MTP on the phone) to transfer files from my device.
Here is my config
Device: SM-N920T
BUILD: N920TUVU2COJ5
OSX: 10.11.1
AFT: 1.0.50.2266
Alternatively you can use ADB from the ADT and pull files via USB... but that is a lot more work
From terminal: adb pull /sdcard/<path to file>/ /path/to download/
Hope that helps someone.
Thanks,
Matt

From what I have experienced, its either Smart Switch or AFT. You have got to choose any one. I kept Samsung Smart Switch... maybe because I was tired of using AFT all these years and wanted a change. And from what I have seen, Mac doesn't need drivers. Its only for Windows.

If it's ok, you can try some other Samsung mobile manager tool. It allows you transfer files from all kinds of Samsung mobile phones to computer for sharing or backup just via USB connecting cord. Hope it works.

Can you give the link to Samsung Mobile Manager Tool? I am not finding anything on Google with that name.
It does not work if Kies or Smart Switch is installed. You need to properly uninstall them first. I use Android File Transfer without a problem.
Hey guys. Sorry to bother you in the X98 section, but since there's no section for the X80 yet and maybe the devices have some similarities, I hope it's ok.
The tablet worked fine, but to remove any possible bloatware under Windows or Android, I reset Windows. Somehow the device must have crashed (low battery?) and now I can't boot to Windows anymore (black screen and / or boot loop). Of course I made no backup / recovery disk. Android still works fine and I still get into BIOS / UEFI.
I tried reinstalling Windows via OTG with USB stick. I got to the point where I can choose a partition. Problem is, there are lots of partitions (Android, recovery, System and so on). I located the Windows partition, formatted / deleted it and tried to reinstall Windows on this partition. Just the exact way I would do it on a PC. Somehow it won't install on this partition. The error message says something about "the partitions are not in the recommended order. Further information for installation on GPT-volumes..." (I don't know the exact English phrasing because everything is in German). I chose "continue anyway". Then I get the message that "the EFI-system is not formatted in NTFS. Format the partition to FAT32 and start install procedure again". I press ok and get back to Windows Setup (Install now).
I also tried different repair and recovery options. One time I got error code 0xC0000034. Funny thing is, Windows still seems to be there because while trying to repair / recover I tried to load some drivers and could see the hard drives and folders under Windows.
I tried downloading the original roms here: http://pan.baidu.com/s/1qYEa8gc
You need a Baidu account for the larger files and after days and days I gave up to create such an account as it seems to work only with a mainland China number. There's an option for oversea mobiles but that's not working. I tried a QQ-account, but Baidu wants to link with it and you need that telephone number again. So apparently there's no way to get the original files that way.
I found some stuff here: http://www.needrom.com/download/teclast-x80-pro-dualboot/ but that's only a tutorial file in Chinese and some flash programms / drivers (also got them from Baidu - smaller files are possible to download without an account).
Long story short: I guess recovering Windows 10 is too much effort, so I want to make the tablet Android only and of course want to use the whole capacity for Android. I found a thread on reddit about removing Windows on the X98: https://www.reddit.com/r/teclast/comments/479eua/teclast_x89_how_to_remove_windows_10/
But I have no idea which partitions are definitely needed for Android and which ones I can safely delete. I found a partition map here: http://wheresmykeyboard.com/2015/08/teclast-x98-air-64gb-dual-boot-default-partition-map/ but that doesn't help me that much because they look different.
Attached you will find a photo of all the partitions on my device. I guess there are some which were created during the failed Windows installation because I had about 20 GB free space and now only 17.7 GB.
So is there anybody out there who knows if it's possible to remove Windows completely and which partitions I have to delete?
Did you ever figure this out? I just bought an X80 Pro and was thinking of doing something similar since I plan on making it an android-only tablet.

Yes please tell us how metalaxi , it'll be much appreciated.:good:
Ok, guys. Since some of you are asking how I did it, I'm going to try to explain it. It's kinda embarrassing that I don't remember the exact way but I hope it helps somehow. I used the tutorial from this site: http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/x80-plus-android-os-only/#login
Even though it's supposed to be for the Plus model, it also worked on the Pro. Btw, the guy Alex in that thread is me .
You can download all the files from my Google Drive here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxEFqy4Rt9w_cnh3VG9ySk5sOHM
You need
- Android5.1 Upgrade Tool.rar
- X80 Pro (E3E6)- Dual OS - Android5.1-V1.04 Firmware.rar
- gpt.rar (Credit goes to Allember @techtablets-forum; hope it's ok to spread the file)
First you have to install the flash tool. Unrar the firmware and replace the gpt.bin. Then flash the firmware by checking BLANK.
Problem is that when I did all that, my Windows was already crushed and wasn't working anymore. I can't remember anymore if I erased the Windows partitions or any others beforehand. If you're not interested in Windows anymore, just flash it without changing or erasing any of the partitions. I guess by replacing the gpt-file, you do all that automatically.
I hope this somehow helps you. Feel free to ask for more help.
Have a good night!

Hi @metalaxi. Do you think its possible to like "reverse" and use the same files to remove Android instead and maintain the Windows 10? Appreciate to hear from you. Thanks!
Do we have to change the gpt before doing what you said in your PDF? Or I have just to follow your PDF?

Sorry, I can't answer that sufficent enough. As far as I know, you can just delete all partitions except the ones from Windows. Then format the unallocated space and merge it with the one from Windows. No guarantee!

It is not so hard. By mine it was only trial and error. Installiert all drivers an go in the bootloader with three Finger method. Go two levels up and go into bootloader. Then connect to PC and look in Intel flashing tool if connection is reconiced correctly. Select the downloaded file and select flash. Thats it. Device will reboot and you are ready to go.

Straightforward if you can obtain a USB stick capable of storing over 7GB (some 8GB sticks may not); USB hub (ideally a powered hub); USB keyboard; OTG cable.
1) Obtain the Windows files of the correct firmware. The procedure outlined here is for E6E9 firmware, but other firmware will be similar. Download the circa 6.5GB E6E9 firmware Windows files from https://yadi.sk/d/XEvRsoiD3Q4vKX or https://mega.nz/#F!I0AXGR5C!YiNFkZL9DIvzepH28qAjEQ (or from appropriate source for your firmware version).
Decompress the downloads as required to obtain six folders and two files.
2) Format the stick to FAT32.
3) Name the stick WINPE (five uppercase characters).
4) Copy the previously mentioned folders and files to the USB stick.
5) Plug USB stick and USB keyboard into hub; plug hub into OTG cable; plug OTG cable into tablet whilst the tablet is off.
6) Turn on tablet and immediately start tapping << Delete >> key on USB keyboard. This should open the UEFI config section prior to Android boot option. If the tablet displays the Android boot option, turn off the tablet, wait a few seconds, then turn on and start tapping << Delete >> key on USB keyboard again.
7) When in UEFI, touch the title menu option of << Save and Exit >> and look in the << Boot Override >> section for the name of your USB stick, then touch the name of your USB stick. The screen will immediately go blank as the tablet starts to boot from the USB stick.
8) After a few minutes, a numerically display of progress will be displayed in a CMD window.
9) After reaching 100% and nearing completion of the overall installation, the tablet will prompt for acceptance, so accept that prompt.
10) The setup will run a few final operations for a few seconds, then automatically reboot.
11) Done.
You will be prompted to complete the OOBE on each Windows boot until you complete OOBE.
I'm trying to create an application to make flashing files on our pixel devices easier.
Features:
Install ADB
Unlock bootloader
Reboot to bootloader
Download and install factory images
Download and install TWRP
Download Magisk
Easy to use GUI
Enjoy! :good:

New update!
Beta Release
What's New?:
All new base being built.
Better .exe support (requires installing the app)
Console interface for now.
Removed some features that were broken in the old app, will add them back one-by-one, but this time, not until they work 100%.
Usage:
Just follow the prompts on screen.
Allows picking the files for booting TWRP or pushing files via ADB.
Install:
Easy method (requires install): https://github.com/boostedd2/crosshatchdb/blob/boostedd2-patch-1/crosshAtchDB-2.3-win32.msi
Install the app with the provided .msi, choose where you want to install it. Open the folder where you installed it and run the crosshatchdbbeta.exe.
Build/Run from source:
Requires:
source .py file: https://github.com/boostedd2/crosshatchdb/blob/boostedd2-patch-1/crosshatchbeta.py
cxfreeze config: https://github.com/boostedd2/crosshatchdb/blob/boostedd2-patch-1/setup.py
To run from source, just install Python on your PC, then from cmd window run : "pip install requests".
Then just double click on the crosshatchdbbeta.py file.
To build the .exe:
You need both files from above.
Install Python
python -m pip install cx_Freeze --upgrade
With setup.py and crosshatchdbbeta.py in the same directory, run "python setup.py build"
This is a very minimal release, I will continue to fix any bugs and add features once they are working better.
Thank you so much for this! I was actually going to unlock my bootloader and root today after work. Now it will only take 2 minutes instead of 20!
I appreciate it and will report back later after testing!
**Didn't want to waste thread space so I'm editing this to reply** - Thank you so much for the response below! Very helpful! I'm up and running and really appreciate the tool and the help!

No problem, quick usage guide to make sure it goes smooth.
Enable OEM unlock in developer options, also enable ADB debugging.
Plug in your phone, run crosshatchdb.
Select option 9, this will auto download and extract adb to your c: drive.
Select option 1 to check for ADB devices, check the box on the dialog that pops up on your phone.
All set. You can download magisk directly to your phone or push it from your PC.
Reboot bootloader option 2, from here you can unlock the bootloader(formats your phone btw).
Setup your phone, enable ADB debugging again and your free to reboot bootloader and download/boot TWRP to flash magisk.(use TWRP img not zip)
Hopefully these instructions are not too confusing, it is pretty easy once you do it once, and the tool really does make the next time you do it faster.
Tested on a windows 7 virtual machine and my own personal windows 10 machine.

The time to unlock a Google purchased Pixel isn't the issue. The factory reset just sucks if you run stock for any time before doing it.
Two things I think you should add.
1) adb sideload for when adb works in twrp.
2) adb logcat for our great developers, so there isn't an excuse for getting them a logcat in event that they need one.

Good idea, should be easy to pipe logcat output to a text file.
ADB sideload can be added as well, next update will probably be when TWRP ADB is fixed, or sooner depending how long that takes.
Already thinking of ways to make the current version of this script more automated, but I like to err on the side of explicit is better than implicit.
Thanks for the ideas.
Can this install TWRP ?

No. Everything you need to know is in the OP and everything else you need to know is in the twrp thread.

This.
It is a good option of you want an easy way to just boot TWRP in 1 button, if you don't want to install a custom recovery like TWRP.
New update coming soon, decided that command line didn't work very well for this purpose...
Also working on making all of the actions smoother.
New update released, let me know if you have any issues or feature requests, still waiting for TWRP to be fully functional before adding ADB sideload options.
CMD window still wants to hang out for now, you can minimize it though if needed.
can you add a (check for update)

Yes, that is on the list for next update.
When TWRP is more reliable I will probably add options for copying TWRP backups to your PC as well.
Still need to get rid of the cmd window and cut down on having to open browser windows or file selection dialogs, just to get it feeling less clunky.
I'd like to send out a big thank you to boostedduece I've used platform tools and google flash all for years with no hitch whatsoever but I tried to glies an update to my kernel and ran into the red corrupt device thing and used my platform tools to flash all and halfway through it stopped and said error. I then tried this tool and it worked perfect!! Thank you so much!

Glad to hear it helped out, working on some new updates to make the UI even better.
Trying to make all of the download links update automatically too, just working on some web scraping again ?
It's a nice little tool if something gets messed up, also for new users to get up and running.
New update released, Download factory image has been overhauled, it will now download the image automatically, check the SHA-256 hash, then unzip it to the correct folder, just run the factory image flash option after and you're set. Be patient, the image.zip can take a while to download, takes several minutes for me, but I'm only at 50mbps down...and who knows if google throttled my connection after all the web scraper testing lol.
Pull TitaniumBackup folder via ADB to your PC, pull TWRP backup might not work it failed for me, but will not cause any damage to your PC or phone, ADB is copying the files read only from your device, and ADB just seemed to crash on me.
CMD window is still here for now until I pipe the output to the built in box on the GUI and bind keyboard keys to interact with it. For now it will help with any debugging.

It will work for pixel 3, but you will need to download the factory image for your blueline device and extract it into c:\crosshatch_stuff\platform-tools. This program is basically a gui wrapper for ADB commands.
Just stick with the ADB tools section and find the downloads you need separately.

Right
So it doesn't automate the process the same as for xl?

It will still install ADB and allow you to run reboot bootloader, boot TWRP, factory reset, ADB logcat, unlock bootloader.
But the only extra part that is manual would be extracting the factory image into the c:\crosshatch_stuff\platform-tools folder.
Hi guys,
I have a problem. The screen in my mi 9 is broken. I would like to recovery data at least photos. Bootloader is unlocked, adb is enabled but pc is unathorized for adb, I need to accepted on phone. I'm also able to launch phone in fastboot mode and recovery mode.
Could you suggest me any method how to download data from my phone?
I tried adb pull but error:

i went through this before, this may not help you now but in in the future make sure adb is fully working at all times, also install team viewer so in this case you can use another phone or computer to browse broken phone.
the best thing i can tell you is that what i did once is IF your touch on the phone is broken using a otg cable you can plug in a computer mouse and blindly try to press the adb authorization button or enable usb mode popup, i got lucky with that before but it requires you to REALLY know your phones layout.

Thanks for advise. I was searching about method and seems hard to do something. first I need to encrypt storage but to do it I need to draw patter to unlock. Same in TWRP I need to check what exactly part is broken then order and replace.
