Hi, i have an M7 cdma (Sprint), but I live in Mexico, so i only have GSM signal, what can I do to get at least 3g signal? do I have to change the RUU to the developer edition? or is this a hardware issue?

Sprint M7 have different radio frequency than the GSM M7, it will be able to use GSM for roaming. Forget about using LTE, not sure for 3g. Better to look at the phone specs and compare with your carrier frequencies.

Hello,
I was wondering if it was possible to convert Sprint HTC One to International or AT&T variant? All HTC One models are the same in terms of specifications i think so what prevents it from happening? They all are world phones and S-off is available to all the variants.
I'm just curious as I have a Sprint HTC One which I'm using on GSM network with a custom rom.
Thanks
If im not mistaken. The Sprint / Verizon HTC One are CDMA units and NOT GSM.
The LTE would work but you would have no voice communications.
Im not 100% sure how the hardware works in them when it comes to CDMA / GSM.
So im not sure you can flash a GSM radio and make it work like that..
Try it and let us know if it works.
I know for sure that when you flash GSM Rom on Sprint variant, it doesn't work at all so this has to go a bit deeper. Both Sprint and AT&T variant have GSM/CDMA/LTE on it i think.

Nope, there are several models of the One that HTC manufactures so they can optimize the antenna design for various regions/carriers.
The Sprint model can connect to the following frequencies (link):
2G/2.5G - GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
3G - UMTS/ HSPA: 1900/2100 MHz with HSPA+ up to 14.4 Mbps
3G - CDMA: 800/1900 MHz for Sprint
4G - LTE: Sprint: 1900 MHz

Since this is part of the physical design of the radio/antenna, it cannot be changed.

Unfortunately, the Sprint HTC One only connects to LTE on band 25. And according to the following list, Sprint is the only carrier using band 25, meaning the Sprint version of the One will only run on Sprint’s LTE network.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LTE_networks
EDIT:
There are ways to get the Sprint version of the One to run on AT&T and T-Mobile’s non-LTE GSM networks, but you need to follow the guides in the Sprint HTC One forum on how to SIM-unlock your device. Also, you have to make sure that AT&T or T-Mobile have one of the GSM frequencies listed above IN YOUR MARKET before trying to make the switch. In any case, you would be limited to 14.4 Mbps at best (assuming the market you're in has 1900/2100 MHz HSPA+).
Thanks!
This is the kind of explanation that I was looking for.
My phone is sim-unlocked already and works fine on 2G/3G networks in India. There is no 4G here so I can't be bothered.
Hi
I bought an used phone from some eBay dealer
the phone was on Verizon network
I am from Israel and using the local orange network
the phone works just fine except I cannot enjoy the 4g (LTE) network
when I put on LTE mode I just get no reception at all
maybe it is some frequency issue? (in Israel the LTE runs on 1800/2600)
how please can I solve this issue?
should I Install an appropriate rom for my network (where and how can I get it?)
or is it a hardware fixed frequencies which suitable for Verizon only and cannot be changed?
Thanks a lot

Verizon is a very US specific carrier they use there own CDMA mobile technology different from the GSM network world wide network.
Some Verizon phones are GSM capable to allow call roaming in different country's they call these "World Phones" but they do not offer any 4G services outside of the US.
Basically you will as far as I know only get 4G on a CDMA network in the US. Unless someone can correct me. :good:
Edit :-
Code:
So what's the problem? Why can't Verizon's 4G LTE devices roam internationally? First, there are few LTE networks built outside the U.S. But the main reason is that Verizon's LTE network and devices are not compatible with any other wireless carrier's network because the spectrum frequency and the specifications developed for its sliver of wireless spectrum is different from any other carrier in the world.

If you have an HTC One M8 then you will get a better response in the M8 forum this is for the M7.
Have you checked the APN on your phone versus Telsra APN?
Check to see if the Telstra variant has the same bands as your variant, if your phone doesn't have the same bands then that could be your issue.
Hello.
I live in a counntry with both GSM and 4G LTE networks. Reading this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-510/help/virgin-mobile-htc-desire-510-gsm-t2965839 for the efforts of unblocking GSM bands thre is something I don't understand. If I buy the Sprint version of the phone, it is posible for me to use it outside USA with a 4G LTE capable SIM without having to unblock GSM Bands? Or do I need to have CDMA support in my country to be able to use the phone?
Thanks.
You would need a CDMA network; it's not working on GSM networks!

You could try getting the Cricket or Telus version of the device as they are GSM.

Did it work for you ?
Did it work for you ? cause I have the exactly the same problem with my device and I don't even know what to do till now
I have 2 HTC ONE M7s and 1 is not getting 4G LTE and the other one is
What supposed to be the APN settings to get 4G LTE? Currently it is only showing H or 3G and kep switching back and forth.
I tried to create a new APN so I got one original and one created after but there is no button to switch between them.
Can someone help me please?
Thanks
I just found out that my HTC is PN07120
Is this supposed to get LTE on Tmobile?

APN are different for each carriers, look on their website or call them.

So is either an AT&T, GPE, Dev edition, or Canadian M7. Looks on HTC website and compare the frequencies of that variant with the frequencies used by your carrier. PN0712000 is a M7_UL so it should be LTE.
Well it has LTE for sure
But I do not see it on the screen. I am only getting H or 3G
So how do I make it work with Tmobile?
