Google Plus - Teclast X98 Air 3G

Hmmm... Running Mirek's Lollipop ROM, I can't install Google Plus! Play just tells me it's not compatible with my device; Sideloading goes thru all the moves, but ends up with "Google Plus was not installed" or something to that effect. Has anyone experienced this, have a clue to what may cause this or in any way can take me out of my pain?

I believe I read somewhere that Google+ is compatible only with 64bit devices; and our X98 Air 3G has 32bits OS. So though luck, it won't work.

[Q] Cannot connect to Play Store on A855

I have a motorola droid A4855 and I'm running cm 7.2RC2i installed gapps and ive got rom manager/clockwork recovery and so on...
Here is my issue. I have never been able to get the play store to work. I just bough this phone from a friend of mine a week ago for like $10. I haven't had a phone in almost a year and I'm still somewhat new to Android.
Well before I rooted this phone and put the ROM on it it was still on its basic ROM. I was able to at least open the Market and it would have me put in my credentials to log into google to do the sync thing so I could access and download apps. but it always said it couldnt connect. I have it running off of wifi because I do not have a 3G data package as of right now. I'm not going through a traditional US phone carrier either, although I will be in the near future here. Right now my wireless carrier is through Reach Out Wireless (a government supplemented wireless program). It runs on the Verizon network though. I check my number and it comes back as Cellco dba Verizon Wireless.
Now that I have rooted and installed CM I installed the gapps and now have the Play Store (as opposed to the Market previously). I click on the app to open it and it gives me the dialogue of "You must add an account to the device to continue. DO you want to add one now?" and it gives me the option of Yes and No. I click on yes because I obviously want to, but then the app just closes and I'm back to my home screen. I've downloaded and installed the play store from several different sources and it still doesn't work. Neither do any of the other apps that require a google login. They all ask to chose the account and there are none visible and they give me the option to create a new account but I click on that and it does nothing as well...
Anyone have any idea why this could be happening? Is it just because I don't have a data package? Every other app on my phone works perfectly fine through wifi. And I have tried about 6 different wifi sources as well at home, work, 3 different mcdonalds and a starbucks.

Problem solved. I was not installing the proper gapps package... D'OH! stupid me lol
Ok so not completely solved... The play store keeps saying that my device is not compatible with a lot of the apps I want to download. Most of them say that they require 2.1 and up or 2.2 and up. Well I have 2.3.7 with CM7RC2 on my droid correct? Therefore my device should be compatible right? I called google and they said they would check into it. I'm not sure what could be causing this to happen...

[Q] Hulu Plus broken

I can't get Hulu Plus to work, now. I kind of suspect it's because I went and rooted the device -- I see similar complaints for older phones in previous years. Anyway, every time I try to play a vide, I get "Streaming Unavailable [WV44]] [91]"
I've unlocked and rooted, but no custom ROM and no adblocker installed (at least intentionally). Can anyone help?
BTW, I tried installing the Vgeezy mod version of hulu, which did stop error messages, but still didn't get past "buffering." Since I haven't (intentionally) installed any adblockers, I'm stumped. I even uninstalled the Avast! internet security I use, but that didn't make any difference.
In case it helps someone else to know, Hulu+ started working again once I loaded the Viper ROM (v1.03). Woohoo!

Cannot install - says .net framework 3.5 not turned on when it is

running around in circles. Trying to install the chromecast program/app on my laptop. Google provides no forum, no help, no contact us help for this issue. I have framework 3.5.1 turned on, but everytime i try to install it says i need to have it on and then sends me to websites telling me how to turn it on.
Help is appreciated.
What OS are you trying to do this with? Apparently XP is not currently supported and I hear a lot of people are having problems with Vista too.

Click to collapse
Windows 7
I'm not sure what the problem is then. That being said, I don't think it is a Chromecast issue because other people would be talking about it. I suspect there is something wrong with your Windows 7 system. I'd even go as far as uninstalling .net and reinstalling it. I suspect that will clear up the issue.

[Q] GearVR on AOSP?

I should probably preface this by saying that this is probably a feature that is probably unfeasible and would only appeal to a small amount of people, but still...
Is it possible to get Gear VR working on AOSP? I just tried it myself, but inserting the phone into the Gear VR did nothing. Manually installing the VRSetupWizardStub.apk and trying to force the setup process just leads to a force close. Sideloading any of the Oculus APKs (such as Oculus360Videos.apk) also leads to a force close.
Getting the setup wizard to work would be the first step, but even still, the software requires certain files from the NK4 firmware update to work - phones that do not have this update will be told that an update is required whilst running the setup wizard.
That said, I'm wondering if anyone smarter than me has any insight as to whether or not this is possible, and if it is, how to go about getting it working.
Cheers in advance!

Question Updated "Foundation" in Fox's Mmm and seemingly destroyed all Google based applications. Further screw ups ensued.

I'm on OneUI 4.1, Android 12, Kernel version 5.10.43 on a non cellular Tab S8. I noticed recently that my root cloaking modules weren't doing a great job, as I couldn't seem to get into a Dynasty Warriors app I'd downloaded, it simply wouldn't download the content in game. So I went and updated literally everything in my Fox app. I noticed immediately that Google Play Services was crashing repeatedly. So I uninstalled the module. This lead to my tablet saying Magisk is not installed. So I re-downloaded and re-installed Magisk. I turned Foundation back on, that didn't fix anything. It may even have just broken it more for all I know. I did notice that when it was off though, that my internet would not connect to my wifi automatically anymore.
So I downloaded a bunch of different versions of Google Play Services and Play Store to try to get one that matched. Of course, I had to use Lucky Patcher to uninstall the current broken versions. Eventually, it settled in on:
com.google.android.gms_23.17.15_(190400-534251769)-231715044_minAPI31(arm64-v8a,armeabi-v7a)(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk
This seemingly fixed my issue. But I had some other problems. The useless intent filter was still crashing. My OS seemed less stable as it restarted at least once for seemingly no reason, notifications for apps sorta just didn't show up sometimes even when I changed app settings to stop it from trying to save battery life, and the moment I minimized an app, it would need to reload once I put it back up. Didn't matter which app.
So I decided that I would attempt to get rid of Foundation again. I mean, I already had working versions of the apps. So I probably don't need it right? I figured since it installed weird versions of the old ones in the first place, it might be causing my issues.
This was a bad idea, because I had to try to reinstall Magisk again, which failed, but it didn't matter because Fox started saying I'm rooted again anyway after a reboot. So I turned it back on, and proceeded to reinstall the same Google Services APK. Except now it wasn't working.
I then spelunked the internet to try and find a solution, someone mentioned uninstalling Services, Play Store, AND Framework, then reinstalling. So I've now tried several versions, particularly of Framework 12 and around the time period I bought my tablet, but Gmail still gives me the error "Gmail needs Google Services to run, your device does not support Google Services." I tried a couple versions of 11 too and I even tried using Lucky Patcher to install specifically as system, but it seems like it doesn't matter much whether I install them via package installer or Lucky Patcher. I've also attempted to manually enable permissions for both Services and Framework to no avail.
My main goal is fixing this without losing my data, which I assume is exactly what would happen if I flashed a new rom. So I'm hoping somebody has an idea of what could be done here. In the meantime, I will continue trouble shooting.
(Additionally, I can't seek to get any version of Fox above 1.0.3 or so to work without it saying something crashed and asking me to report it to the dev.)
Update:
Google Play Services stopped repeatedly crashing when I installed:
com.google.android.gms_23.22.15_(190400-538334167)-232215044_minAPI31(arm64-v8a,armeabi-v7a)(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk)
However, it still says my device is unsupported.
