Anyone else experiencing this? I have used an old Tab S, Nexus 9 and a Ipad Air 2 and I've never seen this bizarre effect in scrolling before. I have two Tab S2's, white and black with the same issue. Most of my time is spent reading PDF's and it's quite jarring scrolling through pages, although it occurs within all apps, even scrolling in the play store. If this is considered normal I'll end up returning them.
Come on, creating a post on exactly the same subject as the post directly next to this one?

When swiping through the home screens, sometimes it will get stuck and I will need to lock screen and unlock again for it to work. Also when on chrome say typing a message on a forum or online elsewhere, all a sudden it will stop typing and I will need to zoom out then my text all pops up again in the message box. Anyone else experience this and know a fix to it?
Yeah, I'm having a good bit of lag especially in chrome and the Xda app. It seems to take a couple of seconds for things to catch up when scrolling around fast. I've also noticed that text looks warped a lot of the time when scrolling around. It looks like it takes a second for them to catch up with the screen or something.
I think I only have lag when using hangouts...
Hangouts lag is really bad. Thing is, I grabbed a Note 4 (that I took back) before buying this and hangouts was really laggy on that too. Though, in hindsight, everyone on the Note 4 was laggy which is ridiculous. Samsung can't figure out why they are losing business... release a ridiculously powerful phone and f*** the framework up so bad that it lags to hell... anyway, I digress.
So, beyond hangouts there is definitely some lag on this phone but that isn't the biggest concern with it. I'll open another thread so as not to usurp yours.
Now that its mentioned i do notice a slight lag in hangouts but not enough that it caught my attention the first time around. I do get a stutter when swiping over to Google Now using the now launcher. no real stutter when swiping back home or between apps in the drawer but almost always when swiping into the cards from the home screen.
Me and my best friend bought the Active 3 weeks ago and I'm noticing while I'm viewing with a white background a visible black box inside the screen when I'm outside in the sunlight.
I just looked at his today and I see the same thing. Does anyone else see this?
I've read reports of this before. I think it's just the structure of the screen. Since you can't see it unless you actively look for it, I wouldn't worry about it. AoN
I have the Galaxy S6 ATT with 128 mb. Running stock, rooted, lollipop5.02. Have had it less than two weeks.
Two issues are becoming major. First, the HEAT. This phone gets hotter than any phone I have every had. Sometimes, almost to the point that it is untouchable. I have tried to discern what apps, if any, might be causing this behavior, but without success. The heat seems to come and go relatively randomly; that is, if I set it down for 15 minutes, it will have cooled off and I might not experience the same thing until tomorrow.
Second, and this is equally bothersome. Sometimes when the phone has been on for awhile, and especially if it has gotten warm as described above, the Edge just goes crazy. Pages opening and closing, sliding in and out, keyboard is taken over and types random latters, frequently sending them out in texts. (I've sent many texts that are quite lucid at the beginning, and look like I'm plastered at the end.) Again, a look at 3C Toolbox doesn't show any particular app overutilizing the CPU or anything else that would be apparent to a relative novice like me.
Anyone else experienced this? It's one of those things that is going to be difficult to demonstrate unless it happens when I am right near an ATT store. Any advice will be so much appreciated.
Robert
I've had one of these too on my ATT S6 edge. It's often called "touchscreen ghosting" across different devices that have it. I used to have the OnePlus One which was plagued with these touchscreen ghosting problems. It's exacerbated in high heat environment. You'll find that putting it in the fridge for some time resolves the symptoms immediately. I'd hold out 'til winter and hope they subside on their own.
i was having similar issues. removing my tempered glass helped. im starting to hate this phone. My battery was 66% an hour and a half after i left house today with a full charge. MY gps doesnt ever connect correctly. When using navigation it jumps around and re-routes me constantly. I can't wait to get a nexus 5x and get rid of this junk.
I'm dropping this phone for the Nexus 5x also. I learned my lesson dealing with these phones.

I have been having bad luck with my new phones. I decided to get the AT&T galaxy s6 active. My first galaxy s6 active developed a lower microphone problem. The microphone was garbled at first, which I attributed to bad signal quality when I made a call and it sounded bad.
Then it stopped working altogether, which I discovered when Google Now stopped working. AT&T completely replace the phone, after an hour wait in which someone had to run across the street to retrieve a replacement.
After using the new phone for a few weeks , I noticed that while displaying gray colors, faint lines would be visible on the screen. This is slightly visible on scrolling images of solid colors. Actually noticed while playing game called arrow, and I thought it was dirt under my screen protector. I remove the screen protector and clean the phone, but the lines remained.
I checked another galaxy s6 active that another family member owns that has the same screen protector, and he had similar looking lines only apparent on gray colors, although they were even fainter and in different positions and numbers presumably. I check a third active that's never had a screen protector. It had the same lines. These are all new phones about two to three weeks old. I checked a normal galaxy s6 that my sister owns, and it did not exhibit those lines.
As far as I know both phones have the same screen but the galaxy s6 ACTIVE has a waterproof coating. This is a side effect of having the coating ? I did contact live support which was no help at all. He / she I just advised me to return it to AT&T, which I am NOT doing again especially if it's might B a normal trait. Any ideas?
The display on this phone has substantial problems with motion blur, and I'm floored that nobody else seems to be talking about it. I've already replaced the phone once, and both the original and replacement have the same issue. When scrolling text (especially darker or bolder text), there's noticeable smearing of the letters, and 24/30 fps videos look awful. I'm about ready to return the Ultra and find something else, because it's pretty severe and I can't unsee it.
Is anyone else noticing this?

No can you post a video showing what you mean
I’m surprised too that people aren’t commenting on this. I have noticed the motion blur, particularly bold black text on a white background. This is at 120Hz. My Onplus 8t has a 120Hz screen and it has less blur but is not quite so smooth when scrolling. However, the S21 ultra is way better than my iPad Pro which is complete smeary mess.
I noticed it too, especially compared to S20+ which I also have. It almost looks like it's on 60hz instead of 120hz.
But I can live with it.
I also have significant motion smearing with my S21 Ultra. I did a side by side comparison to a OP7tpro to make sure that it was not my eyes playing tricks on me. I also tried with a friend's S21 Ultra and it yielded the same result so I know it's not a random defective unit on my side. I notice the issue prevalent on videos that are rendered with the HEVC codec. I really hope Samsung has an update that fixes the issue. The whole point of getting an Ultra phone was for a no compromises phone and this hasn't been the case
All LTPO displays will have this to some extent.

Let's see if the iPhone 13 has this issue.
Can you recommend a YouTube video or a link to video file to see this effect on?
(This answer was made by using past experiences and pointing out some interesting things that have happened so this is not guaranteed to be correct and id recommend for someone to confirm this first)
Id say its just the ghosting (not too sure as ive never owned this device but its most likely to be it)
ghosting is basically a little imperfection on many screens that make the frames ghost out a bit as the next one comes in makimg the effect of the motion blur.
The info after this may be false (recommended to test the info incomming and see for yourself) but can help with finding out what causes ghosting:
Having a look on my laptop screens and looking at how the stuff is it seems to either "paints" (usually happenes when a games in fullscreen. chunks of the screen loading in, it dosent happen instantly with the whole thing), or either suttle ghosting (when you see your cursor and your desk and are at the os itself, im not sure why this happenes though, if the software or drivers were to do this on purpose why they dont choose to or cant when somthings truely fullscreen)
This dosent happen on phones and all i see is suttle ghosting BUT ive seen that in bootloaders and in recovery this does "paint" instead of ghost
ive also seen that without drivers and stuff (like going into win 10 setup) it also paints
So im not sure if the drivers or smt else is doing this on purpose and why or how they have chosen this to happen for quite some time.
