In Note 4, the lag is unbearable while in Note 5, lag is rare!
Hello guys need yr opinion here
Right now i am having s5 and is confused between note 5 and ipad mini 4 but now made up my mind for note 5
So plz tell me that is it worth buying
I mean i need a phablet or big enough screen device that is easy to carry amd have good display and performance

Since you have made up your mind for a Note 5, just go for it
had every note before and was annoyed like crazy that the note 5 didn't have a changeable battery and sd card slot. However I was so bored with the note 4 as had it from launch, so in Dec bought the 5. Battery is very good (all day easily), 64gb is useable if not a pita with the gear VR, but overall its fast, reliable, good s pen and good looking....if only I could change the battery and not be memory restricted....hint hint Samsung.
I'm a longtime Note 2 user. I love it. But cameras have advanced so much since its release, I'm considering a newer Note for sharper no-flash photos and better low-light pictures. I'm curious whether the Note 3's enough of an upgrade (with a Note 7 ROM) or if I should spend the extra and get a Note 4.
Obviously the Note 7 would have the best camera, but we know that's not an option. Note 5 would be next-best, but I like removable batteries and expandable storage. So, Note 3 or 4.
I can look at comparison videos all day, but it's different with custom ROMs. Can someone say if the Note 4 camera makes a big enough improvement to skip the Note 3?
Also, is the Note 3 the only Note with an IR blaster? Or just the first?
Any other notable differences?
I don't mind screen ppi or nits. Mainly looking for everyday-user differences like camera quality, unique features on the 3/4, or anything else you consider important when deciding which to get if I'm coming from a Note 2. Thanks for any answers!

Note 3 vs note 4
Camera
Rear13 front2 vs rear16 front3.2
Screen quality
1080p. Vs. 1440 2k
Note 3 no heart rate aensor but note 4 does
Battery 3200 vs 3220
Note 3 snapdragon 801 2.2 ghz vs note 4 805 2.7 ghz
In my opinion the biggest difference between note 3 and note 4 is screen quality note4 2k screen is amazing.once you hold note 4 for couple of days then go back to note 3 you will definitely feel the difference.
The note 4 has the IR blaster as well, i am not sure about the note 5
I gave up the note 3 to my wife after buying the note 4... I will have to say that note 3 is a trouble free phone!!
If you get the 4, make sure it''s either new with warranty or recertified with full warranty, because some issues exist with the note 4.
Good luck!
No pen window

One other thing is that the Note 3 has the pen window like the Note 2, but it went away with the note 4. I used it alot. Was one of my favorite features. Might be something to consider if you use that alot.

What issues have you had?
Also, how's the camera compared to Note 3? Is it a lot better in low light, for example, kids playing indoors or similar settings of low-light activity?

That's great to know! Thanks. I wonder if it came back in any custom ROMs. I could live without it, but I used it pretty often, too. Once DN4 ROM came along though (and other Note 4/5/7 ROMs since then; it was just the first of its kind), I quickly got used to resizing and minimizing apps like newer Notes. Works wonders for multitasking!

It's rumored that the motherboard goes out after a couple years but No one will nail that down!
The camera is awesome note 3 won't compare to that and screen resolution but as said my wife's note 3 chugs along while I'm resetting and fixing my note 4
So I have used OnePlus 7 Pro for couple months and ROG Phone 2 for last 2 days and here is my experience
1. If you are used to OnePlus 7 Pro size, ROG Phone 2 doesn't feel very bulky..but it feels heavy after long time usage
2. Software on OnePlus 7 Pro still feels smooth and fast compared to ROG Phone 2. Animations on OnePlus 7 are so smooth and fast, you will definitely miss them on ROG
3. With 240Hz touch sampling, I expected ROG Phone 2 to be very responsive.. but every touch action takes time process and found it little annoying compared to OnePlus 7 Pro.. when you touch an app icon to open or a setting.. it takes some milli seconds to process... You will definitely notice this if you are coming from OnePlus. Scrolling in YouTube and Twitter is sometimes choppy on ROG
4. ROG has very useful software features like lift to wake, always on display (only time, no notification icons.. not sure why Asus didn't implement notification icons), smart charging, better working double tap to wake, etc..
5. ROG gives me double the battery life compared to my 7 Pro with similar usage.. this is with 120hz, always on display and x mode on... Awesome..
6. You don't notice too much difference between 90hz on OnePlus vs 120hz on ROG.
7. Fingerprint is slightly faster on 7 Pro
8. ROG has inconsistent UI and very bad dialer app...(may be personal preference)
9. Speakers on ROG are noticably loud.
10. Considering ROG is still 9n Android 9 and may not be updated to Android 10 in next 3-6 months is big drawback...
11. Dev support is very minimal on ROG (at least for now)
Let me know if you need any more info guys...

Lol, I have the complete opposite experience. Fp sensor is way quicker, and more accurate on rog, the sw is smoother.
Considering the fingerprint readers are both Goodix optical sensors (likely exactly the same model) there are probably very few differences between them, which ever display can get brighter will probably win.

I'm with you on this one. I had a go of a workmates 7 Pro and preferred my ROG2 - and I'm a true blue OP fan boi (this is my first ROG phone). Might be that I have the 12/512GB north american variant WW (republic of gamers) as well. I hear varying performance of the Tencent version. :good:
Had the 7 pro and now have ROG 2. Loving the switch. Battery life on 7 pro was disappointing, as well as speakers. Not a fan of ROG UI in comparison, but the triggers and extra batteryake it clear winner. Plus... That curved screen was not fun in games
Call quality
Can you kindly compare voice call quality? GSM reception, earphone loudness and clarity, speakerphone?
Thanks
I have OP7 pro, and i had to add 2 fingerprints for each finger i have, to the sensor works better.... I'm buying right now the Rog2, lets see if is better or not.
Would you say that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is "fast" in day-to-day use? A higher rating indicates that you think the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra exhibits fantastic performance. Like, is it as fast as your tears when you watch The Titanic?
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
It does feel very fast in overall speed. I think this is due to the 5G and 120hz display. Some app used to hang for a couple seconds waiting on data, but with increased download speed there is no waiting.
After a few hours I returned the Note 20 Ultra, compared it side to side with my OnePlus 8 Pro and it just disappointed me. The exynos is constantly being outperformed by the Qualcomm 865 in my OnePlus device.
Really a shame because I loved the design and really wanted to jump back on the Samsung train.
I know everyone's case is different. I've upgraded from a Note 10+ 512GB ATT snapdragon version to the same ATT equivalent of Note 20 ultra 512GB and I have to be honest. I don't even game and I feel a significant difference in speed in everyday tasks. Everything loads noticeably faster, finger print scanner is faster, 120hz refresh rate is noticeably faster. My sign ins into my banking and other apps is faster. I feel like it gets better reception and the stereo speakers are louder and clearer. The screen is insanely bright. If I feel this difference coming from a relatively new flagship I don't understand the ppl that aren't that impressed coming from the likes of a Note 8, which to be fair I've also had. While the likes of a Note 8 was incredible relative to when it came out now making the comparison between the two devices is like comparing iPhone 11 pro to the iPhone 6s max

Well....
5G T-Mobile is definitely faster than when I bought the S20 Ultra.
The movement within the app is lightning fast...either with adaptive Motion or with WQHD (all animations at "0" in Development Settings). Honestly I don't notice that much difference between those two although there is one.
Ridiculous speed. Literally could not be faster. Between 120Hz, insane processor, and some animation tweaks... Wowzers. Mind = blown.
Flawless! But demoted 1 atar since I know Samsung is holding back some other areas by using the same 990 exynos that S20 models had.
3D Mark benchmark
I received my Ultra yesterday. SnapD HK version.
3D marked it. Attached results here.
Nice, from wondamobile?

Note 20 ultra is only slightly better than the Note 10+ in pretty much ever way but significantly much better when it comes to reception. I have solid reception in places where the Note 10+ had zero cell coverage. Also the phone call clarity and loudness is significantly better on the 20 ultra.
Does anybody own OnePlus 8 Pro and Note 20 Ultra? I am curious how the everyday use of these 2 devices compare? Is Note considerably slower?

I had the Note 20 Ultra ( Exynos ) for one day besides the OnePlus 8 Pro. Don't get me wrong I stepped away from Samsung after many years, had most S and Note series but felt I missed out due to the Exynos CPU and missed the S-Pen.
When the OnePlus 8 Pro got announced I decided to give it a go and so far I'm very impressed. However I do miss the S-Pen and the overall video quality from Samsung. My Note 9 delivers better video and specially audio quality.
I wanted to cross back to Samsung and Pre-ordered the Note 20 Ultra.
After a day of use I returned the Note because it actually felt a step back instead of forward. The Exynos doesn't deliver anywhere close to the SD865. The overall smoothness and scrolling feel is not as smooth and display wasn't ( for me ) as crisp as the one in the OP8Pro.
An example is the Note 20 Ultra stutters when scrolling through Gmail / FB / Chrome while the OP8Pro scrolls smoothly.
Also the speaker output wasn't what I expected, my Note 9 even sounds better. Delivering a deeper sound quality.
For now ( besides the S-Pen ) I would choose the OP8Pro over the Note 20 Ultra. BUT I'm sure this all comes down to the Exynos vs Snapdragon CPU.
I'm actually thinking about importing a Note 20 Ultra to get a Qualcomm version.

Camera on the Note 20 Ultra Exynos felt better but to be honest I didn't get the chance to test video ( or better audio quality on recorded videos ) shooting videos of live music.

I also think you're right but Samsung flagships in Exynos region don't feel like they can too the Qualcomm devices. It just doesn't feel as smooth. Also the Note 20 Ultra I had seemed to lag compared to the OP8Pro.
On the camera side the OP8Pro doesn't stand a chance , even videos recorded on my Note 9 have better audio quality.
Still I have to say the Note 20 Ultra didn't feel as premium as I expected. Speakers don't sound that premium, display doesn't look that premium and if I add that to the battery ( didn't get the chance to test it myself ) or the lack of it based on reviews I'd say the Note 20 Ultra ( Exynos variant ) isn't that premium at all. At least not for the introduction price.
Man I'm starting to sound like a Sammy hater.......however I'm still a fan. Just hoping they will deliver in the future.
Compared to note 10 plus this phone is better in every way. Virtually no lags. I was very skeptical about 120 hz, I was pretty sure I won't feel any difference... and I was so wrong! It's night and day difference! Probably the only thing that did not change for me is the battery life.. 5-6 hours SOT...
In developer settings, I changed the animation settings from 1.0 to 0.5 after using my Note 20 Ultra for a week and this thing really flies now. Much faster than my old Note9 I traded in (which also had the animation settings lowered)
Performance is good (not game) but warm
