Is it possible to see the sourcecode of the app? - Android Studio

Hello
I like the technical features of this app on Google's Play store:
"Easter Sunday Calculator" (i'm not allowed to post links yet)
Is it possible to make them visible by downloading it?
Or can someone give me the technical keywords on how this app was programmed?
I want to make something similar, preferably with the MIT App Inventor 2.
Thanks!
Emiel

Official Amazon App

I know a ton of people check this subforum for new application releases from the big companies and I didn't see this mentioned.
Amazon Mobile has released an official application for Android.
Get it: http://www.cyrket.com/package/com.amazon.mShop.android
Search, compare prices, read reviews, and securely purchase from Amazon and thousands of other merchants. Includes Remembers: Snap a photo or scan a barcode, and we will try to find a similar product on Amazon.com. Many matches are instant; others take just a few minutes. Requires OS 1.5 or greater.

Thanks for posting this!
As I always do with big companies like this, I checked Amazon's website to see if they truly had released an app and someone wasn't just playing with us in a phishing scam. It's legit, it's real, and here's the link:
Amazon's Press Release
I'm not a huge Amazon user, but I do shop there from time to time. This is really a great way to reach customers. Kudos to Amazon!
Now if they could just make a Kindle reader for Android...

Could you (or anyone else for that matter) please post the apk file?
I've just searched for it here in the spanish android market and can't find it.
I use to buy stuff from Amazon and an app like this would be great.

It's a tool some italian guys developed before Google opened the Italian market for paid apps so they could buy in the US one.
Besides allowing that, it comes with an added benefit and it's that it allows getting any app from the US market, even if it isn't available for the UK, Spanish or any other market.
The app requires root, but that I suppose won't be a problem for any xda user. You can get it here
Amazon.com app
Just found out about this app and it sounds really interesting. Only issue is it's not available on the market in the UK (at least... I assume it isn't. I can't find it...)
Would someone be able to upload the apk? It's a free app so I'm not stealing it or anything
And I understand it probably only searches amazon.com, but I'm really not that bothered about that
There's already discussion on this. It was the third result when I searched: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544239

Are there any apps like these on the Nexus One?

I was wondering if there are any apps like "cydia" or "install0us" on the iPhone or even like "OMarket" on windows mobile?
Nope... no alternative markets AT ALL for Android. Not sure where you'd get that idea.
unlike the iphone or win-mo, its easier for devs to submit apps to the android store... so there's not need for an alternate store

Lol...except there IS an alternate store. SlideMe is available... My original post was only because the guy asked a question that could easily have been answered by searching.
apktor. i just use appbrain
Sent from my Nexus One using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
There actually is. Aptoide / Blapk Market.
apktor ftw
thanks for the real responses, very helpful...
uansari1 there is no need for your response, it could have been omitted...if you wanted to emphasize that I should have just searched (which I did) then you could have said so without giving a smart *** response which leads to nothing productive and just an up in your post count (maybe thats what you want? ) honestly...what do you get out of your initial response ? nothing...what -maybe a laugh? (a mild chuckle at that ?) haha seriously...I hate when people post these condescending/ lame responses...but I understand if someone is trying to say just search or something, should have avoided your response and just said your intended message directly
any ways- thanks for ALL responses...I appreciate your feedback/ advices...

[Q] Where to find a person to make an android app?

I am looking for a person to make an app for my blog.
I only want something simple that pulls in the feeds and lets people read the post from the app. But have had little luck finding a person to do so.
If you are or know some one that could do this and get the app on the market that would be great!
The site is built on wordpress http://zombiesaresexy.com
The site is just for fun and I just think it would be cool to have an app for it.
If someone on here would like to make it I would be ok with you adding in google ads so that you make make a little money off the app and I will add you as a sponsor on the page.
http://zombiesaresexy.com/friends-sponsors/
Things I want out of the app.
1: Have a custom icon
2: read and view full post from the app
That is about it really unless you have a better idea.
Well if you have an idea where to look or you want the job let me know and give me a price.
Thank
James

[APP] WP7 3mktPlace v0.4

Hello,
I would like to share a windows app, kind of a parallel market for desktop that allows you to download almost any WP7 application, and convert it automatically into .XAP file.
But I don't know if it is ok with moderation so please mods let me know about it before I upload the .zip file.
Thanks.
sounds like a great way to finally be able to install the free netflix app, even if it is not listed in your marketplace...
Alex

I don't think so.
This is a PAID APP and therefore NOT OK to post here.
Posting a link to a place where users can BUY the app IS OK.

This software lets you download any app from the market, including paid ones. Hence it is not allowed on xda.

Nope, this is a free app, but as said above, it can download any app, free or not, and convert it into .XAP.
So it can be considered as warez but it is not really one actually. Since it's able to grab free apps in .XAP file system, I though it was an interesting tool for finding rare .XAP apps...
But that is why I waited before posting any link, as the status of this app is rather vague, like in the grey area...
I think it's a free app. I've tried and works well.
Unfortunately, it seems it works for free and paid apps (honestly, haven't tried it, but read that it is possible). It is a pitty, because it won't be allowed on XDA and it is a great way to avoid all the trouble to get a live ID.
Well couldn't somebody mod it to only access the free ones?
There is also another software that does the same as this, both are by different devs. Would be great if we had a XDA dev work on it and release it with better/more stable functions.

That would be a great step for HD2 users.
not hard at all to activate
other than the activation code from Microsoft being location based, it is not hard what so ever to have WP7 be fully fuctional. i have zero issues down loading/accessing anything from windows live, market, zune. all the info to do so is here on the forums, and a 5 min call to Microsoft customer service. There was only two specific questions they asked 1. are u in the US, 2. what is the phone Brand. having all of the software set up properly, then entering that code gives full use. when i plugged into the Zune software after it recognized it as HD7....................been testing the crap out of it since. zero problems. take your time....put all the software in the right order, call to get a code...done....
sorry if the Microsoft activation code does not work for you based on location.. that blows
please be realistic
it is considered as cracking app to me, definitely not allowed here, period. It is everywhere in the Chinese forums, where they share all kind of cracked paid apps.
Yes, there's no distinction between free and paid apps. I've download to alternative browsers, not knowing they were paid.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=908293 - it seems to do the same thing, but only displays free apps. Should be sticky here.
Either way, bored of WP7, back to Android!
tried so many games and apps
apps are fine ! but no game is working except NFS !!!

what exactly does this program do? just crack paid apps?
it download paid apps for free therefore not allowed to be discussed on XDA.
I suggest any discussion stop unless your willing to suffer a suspension or a bann

Actually it only downloads the free apps aswell as trials, it doesnt directly download any full apps. What it does do also is edit the trial so its full on supported titles.
Well I wouldn't consider removing the trial limitation to full legal since its then a full app. Anyway carry on. Don't say no one told ya

APK websites

There are many APK websites out there that link android apps to their websites or direct download apk are generated. Are the download counts on them are fake? Because I've been seeing download counts from 35-600 depending on the website for my app..

I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. I was in the same position as you, but then I realized that most of these numbers must have been made up or taken from google play. No way some random site is managing to get 1/8th or even 1/80th of the downloads of my niche app.
However, I would watch out for your app on aptoide (most likely only if it is paid), because they distribute paid apks for free.
Those numbers, graphics, APKs, and other stats are pulled from Google Play. But, they aren't always kept up-to-date, so that may be the cause of the irregularities.
If you don't want people to be using your app if they installed it from outside of Google Play, then you can look into adding "Android Licensing" to your app. This is more important for paid apps, rather than free apps.
Another idea is to set up a "Google Alert" for your app name, so you can see just about every time your app name is mentioned across the Internet. Then, you can contact the app platform and either claim the app or ask them not to distribute it.

Just spotted my apk redistributed on a site. On which basis would you ask for removal? What if they don't comply?

I've noticed much more of this going on recently. We can estimate it roughly... when we published Magic Keyboard there was one APK for the main app and separate APKs for each language pack. Occasionally we would see a big peak in downloads of the language pack with no matching peak for the main app. At one point we reckoned about 80% of the Russian pack downloads were from pirated versions.
We also had issues with people uploading to other app stores/sites like mobango pretending to be us, so watch out for that too!
Now we're on Magic Keyboard 2 we can do similar by measuring S3 lang. pack downloads against app downloads and this time there is probably a 20% or so discrepancy (quite a bit higher, overall, than for v1).
It's close to impossible to get stuff removed from some sites. If it happens to be hosted on blogger, you can complain to Google and they'll sort it out. Beyond that really it's a case of relying on most people not being willing to risk downloading from non-authentic sources.
Alternatively of course you could implement licencing but that's not without its problems... due to the size of the problem we are considering it.

Quick note - I contacted apitoide to remove Magic Keyboard 2 and they did so within 24hrs.
It might inspire me to try a few more - if so I'll post back the results.
