need help somethings wrong
hello all
i tried to install cynamogen 12.1 from here for my samsung galaxy s3 mini GT-I8190N and something gone wrong.
i installed rom manager from play store but as it wasnt premium rom manage so i had to get the cynamogen rom off here and drop it in a sd card along with g apps.
Opening up rom manager was ok i installed and flashed cwp recorvery, then did a back up and kept saying error with recovery log file which tuns out to be my internal phone memory was full and i deleted and all was ok.
i did this:
5) Reboot to recovery
6) Choose Wipe data/factory reset
7) After wiping go to Advanced and select Wipe Dalvik
8) After wiping (still in Advanced menu) select format /system
9) After formating choose back (or return) to go back to main menu
now i have problems. At the moment when turn phone on see white Samsung logo and bottom buttons flicker white and to clockwork recovery screen v6.0.2.7 with a green android on his back with a red triangle out his belly.
i get installling: / external_sd/cm12..1_golden.nova 20150916.zip

Flash stock rom via odin & then reflash rom, don't format system after factory reset, just wipe dalvik and cache before & after flashing, how that helps

Use Teamwin recovery v. 2.8.0.0 from Novafusion.pl

Did that works?

Can't upgrade to The FroyoMOD 2.7.0 from 2.5.0

Figured it all out! Delete thread please.
Hey. I'm having some problems upgrading to the newest version of The FroyoMOD (2.7.0). I'm currently using 2.5.0.7 and I've got root.
Here's what I've tried so far:
Free version of Rom Manager: Install from SD-card -> Wipe Dalvik Cache -> phone reboots -> the load screen comes up and then hits 10% and I get the /!\ icon. Then the phone reboots yet again, but just into the old version (2.5.0.7).
Install through recovery: reboot into android system recovery -> apply sdcard:update.zip -> I get this error:
Code:
E:failed to open /sdcard/update.zip (No such file or dir)
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
As soon as I get to the system recovery menu I also get this error message:
E:Can't open/cache/recovery/command
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, any help would be appreciated.

[Q] CWM stuck at formatting /data

I have a Galaxy Mini GT-S5570 running CM 10.1 which was installed about a month back. Yesterday my phone suddenly crashed and after rebooting it got stuck in the boot animation (cyanogenmod logo). I tried wiping the cache and data but when the CM recovery (v4.0.0.5) starts formatting /data it gets stuck. It displays formatting /data... and its their for forever. PS I was experiencing frequent reboots and hangs after I flashed the new badass kernel!
What i tried to did:
1. Updated CWM to latest available version but the problem exists.
2. Tried to restore my backup of cm 10.1 rom but it stucks at 'Restoring Data'.
3. Installed stock rom via odin. When Odin says Close serial port and wait until rebooting, the phone automatically boots into stock recovery
and it says:
" Installing update...
-- Applying Muti-CSC --
Multi_CSC : there are common apks
Multi_CSC : comm_so
Can't access to '/system/csc/ATL/system'.
Formatting /cache...
-- Applying Muti-CSC --
Multi_CSC : there are common apks
Multi_CSC : comm_so
Can't access to '/system/csc/ATL/system'. "
Odin says PASS but the phone is still stuck at stock recovery.
4. Wiped cache succesfully via stock recovery but it stucks at wiping data/reset (formatting /data...)
5. I then installed back CWM via odin. CWM displays the following message:
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
Any help is surely appreciated.
Thanks.
anyone?
You got so many issues, and seems that you have tried a lot of things already, now first 1 check your sdcard if is it working properly, 2 format system from cwm and then install stock rom via odin (if on samsung logo there isnt boot sound then install stock rom again n again untill sucess) 3after once on stock try reflashing your custom rom.
If still not helpful start panicking

Installation cm11

Hi,
*
now the installation of cm 11 aborted. I try to explain my way for the installation and the problems. May be, someone can help me here.
*
1. I install overcome with odin.
2. I install the overcome kernel 4.0 with odin
3. After flashing the kernel I go to the overcome recovey and install the overcome rom with wipe. Systems starts and works fine.
4. Now, I start into the overcome recovery to install cm11 with the installation menu
5. The installation of cm11 begins. It is very short. The device makes a reboot and after the reboot I have the cm11 recorvery and now the problems begin.
6. At the start of the cm11 recovery I get these faults.
*
E: Can´t mount/cache/recovery/log
E: Can´t open/cache/recovery/log
E: Can´t mount/cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can´t Open/cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can´t mount/cache/recovery/last_install
E: Can´t Open/cache/recovery/last_install
E: failed to open last_install: Invalid argument
*
7. Now I start the installation of cm11 the second and third time. Everything is fine. Installation successful.
8. Then I start the installation of the micro google apps zip.
9. Meanwhile the installation I get the notification that I don´t have enough space free on the system. The Installation aborted.
10. Then I tried to format the device. First format data, cache, system. It ist all ok.
*
But I can´t format the storage sdcard 0.
I get the notification. “Could not format storage sdcard 0."
I need help please.
Thank you….

I must first admit that I never flash cm11 from stock/GB.
What if, you follow storm31 instruction? Restock, flash overcome kernel, then flash cm10.2 first, 3 times.
Then flash cm11, at least twice maybe?
Then flash Banks Gapps minimal as per storm31 thread.
Don't worry too much about sdcard first?

[Q] Bricked, no download mode, odin won't see phone

Hi, I hope some can help me
Here´s my story, the phone is a Galaxy Ace GT-S5830m, that had GingerBread 2x, I wanted to take it to Kit kat 4x, then I downloaded the CWM 6.0.4.6, but, because of my ignorance, I didn't downloaded the KitKat rom file at the same time, I successfully installed the CWM file, but after this the phone won't boot. The only thing it does is:
Enter recovery mode by pressing Volume Up+Home+Power
Show the Samsung logo
But I cannot make it enter download mode, if I hit VolumeDown+Home+Power it just shows the Samsung logo
If I connect it to the PC via USB cable, the PC won't recognize the phone on the USB drivers list. I already downloaded the Samsung USB drivers
When I enter recovery mode I see the four options for
rebbot system now
apply update from sdcard
wipe date/factory reset
wipe cache partition
And below that I see --Appling Multi-CSC --
E:failed to mount /system (Invalid argument)
E:failed to mount /system (Invalid argument)
What can I do? I'm I done? Please help! Thanks!

Hi Raakib, thanks for taking the time to answer! But how can I put the cwm v5 in the phone if the PC doesn't see the phone? Sorry for the basic questions? I'm new in this things. The first time I did this I pluged the phone to the PC and I was able to see the memory card in the windows explorer so I only did a drag and drop, but that doesn't work any more, please advice, thanks!
just do 1 thing download the recovery file on your pc and then plug your sd card using any sort of card reader and then copy the file to memory card . Then insert the memory card in the phone and go to recovery and flash it. Hit thanks.

if u want that your pc should recognize your phone, take it to download mode and see it gets detected in odin or not , if not then swap the drivers maybe upgrade or downgrade.
still no luck

Hi Raakib, just to let you know that I haven't had any luck with this, this is what I have tried, with a memory card reader connect to my PC, because the PC still doesn't see the phone
Using CWM v5.0.2.6 and with that version trying to install the original rom I get this
-- Installing: /sdcard/Downloads/S5830MUMnD1_S5830MTCEND1_TCE.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
Installation aborted.
So my attempt to recover gingerbread was unsuccessful, now, in all honesty I have no idea if I'm using the correct zip file of gingerbread, I mean, I downloaded from the sammobile page and choose the one for my country, but the instructions call for odin and to unzip the fiel, so I don't know if this zip file can just be copied to the SDcard and be unziped with CWM. So CMW needs special rom files different from the ones odin uses?
On my second attempt using CWM 6.0.4.6 to try to install kit kat 4.4 using the instructions from the androidcure website called "How to install Android KitKat on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830", it mentions that I must use cwm v6 and the rom file called cm-11.0.0-RC4-GT-S5830-cooper-PS.zip I get this
-- Install /sdcard/Downloads ...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
This package is for "cooper.GT-S5830" devices: this is a "".
E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted
If I use cwm v5 to try to mount /system (which is permanently un-mounted) I get this
mount: mounting /dev/block/stl9 on /system failed: Invalid argument
W:failed to mount /dev/block/stl9 (File exists)
W:failed to mount /dev/blockstl9 (no such device)
Error mounting system!
The phone still won't go in download mode and is still not visible by the PC
Any other suggestion? Thanks!!!!

the stock/original rom wont flash in the recovery. try to flash some other custom rom in CWM 5 and before flahing any rom you need to do a full factory reset and whether in cwm5 or 6 i m nt sure go into advance and wipe efs etc there then flash a rom. If still nothing then contact me i will tell you some great thing +918715031141. (my personal number)

My HTC one (m7) won't update ,says 'installation aborted'

So i got an unlocked/sprint(I think!) version of HTC one m7 just recently and after checking everything out I figured it had some really retro and boring app display interface then I tried checking about phone only to discover It was using the old android 4.4.2 KitKat version so i tried checking for software updates and yes I found one that sized up to 325.18MB and I downloaded it after which i tried installing ,everything was going fine until it got to about ¼ way through the process loader in recovery where it jumped straight to another page that read.
Reboot system now
Apply from SD card
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Reboot to boot loader
Power down

So I tried again by rebooting system ,went to settings ,reset the phone to factory mode ,downloaded it again, repeated the process and just the same thing happened again after again because i tried doing it from the recovery where i applied from phone storage but its still the same thing and i really dont like the HTC version of android kitkat especially for its keyboard and input it has the worst emojis on earth even when i downloaded a new keyboard from play store It didn't change whatever retrostyled emoji was on the typing space!
Please help!!!!!!!

Someone modded files in /system that's why the ota won't install.
A factory reset only wipes contents from /data/media/0. It doesn't fix or restore /system to factory.
Your best option are to flash a RUU or a custom Rom.
Would help to know your "fastboot getvar all" and also your bootloader status (locked, unlocked or relocked)
