Netflix Error -9 - Asus Transformer TF701

Hi all,
When I try to open Netflix, it loads for a minute and then I get the following message:
Sorry, we could not reach the Netflix service. Please try again later. (-9)

I am currently running Zombi-pop 5.1.1 RC1.
Here is what I believe to be the relevant logcat entry:
Code:
2649 2649 W PackageManager: Failure retrieving resources for com.netflix.mediaclient: Resource ID #0x0
I have already tried the suggestions in the Zombi-pop dev thread to no avail.
I have also tried reinstalling and wiping caches etc.
Any help in fixing this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

An Xposed log isn't helpful in this case, you'll need to post a normal logcat.

Seems to have started working on it's own after another reboot, despite having downloads enabled before.

Yes, same here.. Working now for me also.
xposed load repository foreign key constraint failed code 19
Confirm, this issue showed up for me on a new Oneplus One. Installed Xposed, Greenify, Bootmanager, etc and only saw Greenify. Specifically was only able to fix this by unchecking Enable Downloads, getting a Code 19 error "Foreign Key Constraint Failed" and re-checking it. Then I rebooted and Downloads populated properly.
Yes, I can confirm this. This is server issue AFAIK.

This is what I did with my niece's Alcatel Pixi 7...
I've got some issue when I try to reload download-list this morning.
"Cannot load from repository http:\\dl.xposed.info\repo\full.xml.gz: null"
I used backslash cos om new user. I can't paste normal hyperlinks yet.
I tried to download it manually from the link. The file I downloaded was 0kb. So I think there is something wrong with the server.
-Edit: server works again.
Error fix (code 19)

WIFI Suddently disabled after reboot

Hi all,
I hope I can get some help here.
Yesterday I rebooted my S4 Active after I installed some app updates, and suddenly WIFI can't be enabled anymore.
First I thought the phone might be broken, but I tested a factory reset and WIFI works again.
But I don't want to reinstall all apps and lose app settings and so on. I also want to know what is causing this issue, it might happen again.
I am on official Stock Rom (Android 4.4.2) I9295XXUCNE5 I9295PHNCNE1. I am using this rom without any problems since a half year.
So I did some testing with adb and usb debugging, and for some reason the wifi kernel driver cannot be loaded. I tried loading it manually with:
Code:
insmod /system/lib/modules/dhd.ko
But this fails with:
Code:
insmod /system/lib/modules/dhd.ko
insmod: init_module '/system/lib/modules/dhd.ko' failed (Exec format error)
I looked into output of kmesg, and it shows this when trying to load the wifi module:
Code:
<3>[ 614.365997] QSEECOM: qsee_disable_clock_vote: Client error.Extra call to disable SFPB clk
<3>[ 614.362304] QSEECOM: qseecom_ioctl: Failed to vote for SFPB clock-6
<3>[ 614.362060] QSEECOM: qsee_vote_for_clock: SFPB Bandwidth req failed (-6)
<3>[ 614.361816] AXI: msm_bus_scale_client_update_request(): Client 3720895680 passed invalid index: 3
Again when I do a factory reset, WIFI works fine again, so it has to be a software bug somewhere.
After factory reset and working WiFi disable Play Store auto update.
Do one app update, test wifi, next app update, test WiFi,...
Easier to identify if an app is source of issue than do all in one update.
Not sure if insmod or other module related commands might need su credentials provided by rooting.

That's kind of pain in the ass when you have like 100 apps installed
Well I know the last apps that got updated. But how can this damage wifi system driver? And yes insmod needs root , and my phone was NOT rooted prior this issue. I rooted it know in order to properly debug the problem.
best regards,
Andre

Try flashing the NE5_PHN_wifi_150107.zip in CWM from the NE5 folder on my GDrive.

Thanks I tried this. Unfortunately, the problem persists.
Do you know which files are used by the WIFI kernel module?
My guess is that some config file causes this problem.

Those are the files in the zip file. You can also try deleting data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf and rebooting or even try deleting the entire folder.
You can also try my ROM, super WizCyan that is based on the PHN firmware with mostly S5 apps.
Can your rom installed without factory reset over stock rom?
A side note, Play Store also does not work anymore. I am online over LTE and can use Internet, but Play Store gets timeout while loading.
Some more debugoutput from logcat, but not helping much:
Code:
E/WifiHW ( 848): ##################### set firmware type 0 #####################
I/WifiHW ( 848): module is semco
E/WifiHW ( 848): ==========[WIFI] Station firmware load ===========
E/WifiHW ( 848): ==========[WIFI] SEMCO MODULE ===========
E/WifiHW ( 848): return of insmod : ret = -1, Exec format error
If I just knew what is causing the driver fail.

Unfortunately not, as most of the stock apps have been replaced by S5 apps. You can try but will get a lot of fc's. If you want to try without factory reset use super backup to backup calls, call logs, contacts and calendar and clear cache and data for these before flashing ROM as well as clear cache and dalvic and restore these after flashing the ROM.
Any specific reason why you do not want to wipe data. I always do it once in a couple of months and reconfigure all apps except for a couple of banking apps that I redtore with titanium backup to save the hassle of contacting the banks again. This helps to clear the clogginf od data and keep the phone smooth.
For playstore you can wipe cache and data for google play & play services and stop them from running.

Did you try deleting data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf and rebooting and/or deleting the entire data/misc/wifi folder

Just pure lazyness . But it seems like that I have to go for the factory reset and backup/restore all apps after.
However I hope to find the source of this issue, who knows when it will happen again.

If it works after factory reset, then I would say there is corruption in data. Try deleting 'data/misc/wifi' folder flash the wifi zip and restart
I restored the /data/misc/wifi folder from an older working backup.
Still the same error, there must be something else causing the problem.

I would suggest that you delete thd folder itself. Also you could try with the Ktoonez kernel from here

Not that one, get KT-SGS4-KK4.4-TW-eur-01.03.2015.zip, there is an issue with touchscreen which is being looked into, I am currently using KT-SGS4-KK4.4-TW-eur-01.09.2015_debug2.zip from the debug folder.

The kernel did not work on stock rom. Anyway I did another factory reset and restored most apps and settings using TitanBackup Root.
And guess what happened after restore of all the apps & settings?
WIFI is broken again.
Does somebody know all data files are used by WIFI?

It seems that something in the settings is breaking the wifi. You can wipe the data of settings and wifi individually and check if it fixes the issue.
If you are doing factory reset, I always recommend to redo the settings again rather than restoring through TB.
Can you take a logcat and send the entire one to check if there is anything there.
Not sure if I mentioned it but I removed "wpa_supplicant.conf" multiple times, it doesn't solve the problem.

[S5] Installing Xposed causes Context Services to Crash

Hi,
After buying a Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F), I have been having issues with Xposed Framework and Context Service crashing. Xposed Framework still works but everytime Context Service is requested through various apps (which is a lot, through normal use), I will get a message that it has crashed.
This happens even without any modules, which points directly at Xposed Framework being the issue. I have tried it with both 2.6 and 2.7.1. I am unsure if installing it in any other way than the classical one will fix this, as I am unable to install it through any other means.
This is on the stock rom, rooted with autoroot.
Automatic flashing gives me: Failed to verify whole-file signature
Manual flashing doesn't provide any files where it says they should be.
Log files show nothing in either cases.
I dunno if I can provide more logs to find this issue, but I am willing to give them as I am able to provoke this error consistently.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: I have seen this mentioned a few times in other threads, but never a dedicated thread to it.

[Q] Encryption fails troubles

Hi all,
after days of searching the web I hope maybe someone here can help me.
I try to encrypt my Galaxy GT-I9305. My Rom is currently "S5 Elite Lite v3.1" but I also had this prob with CyanogenMod.
So here is what happens:
I start encryption out of the menu (tried also the vdc command) with a password set. Then my device shows the green encryption sign and after that the device reboots without having encrypted. I found several solutions regarding this Problem like shrinking the Partition etc. which i tried but nothing changed.
In the logs I found theese Messages (full Logcat is attached):
I/MountService( 2685): encrypting storage...
D/VoldCmdListener( 2170): cryptfs inplace {}
E/CryptfsEE( 2170): Error reading fstab(/fstab.smdk4x12)(0)
E/CryptfsEE( 2170): Encryption type is enable inplace, remove footer
E/CryptfsFK( 2170): Unexpected value for crypto key location
E/CryptfsEE( 2170): Error inplace after framework is shutdown, no data changed, restarting system
So maybe it is the key location, but I dont have a clue how to solve this...
Does someone know this error?
Thanks in advance
Heiko

[Q] Apps not installing after installing xposed framework

So yesterday I installed xposed framework on my Moto G XT1033 5.0.2, after the process i tried installing some modules with no success, "App not Installed". I rebooted my phone and tried installing again, this time it got stuck on " installing...". I have tried to install using lucky patcher and it gave an error saying that some directory didn't exist.
Please help
Similar problem on my LG L90. I installed version 86 and it's active. I'm able to download modules, but unable to install them.
It says, "Application not installed." I've tried this for several modules and received the same results.
In the installer logs section I have an error:
"E/Xposed ( 298): Cannot load any modules because /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/modules.list was not found"
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Hello, I also have the same problem with my Alcatel One Touch Fierce 2 running Android 4.4.2. I try to install the Xposed apk and its says "App not installed". Someone please help.

Hey there, did you find a solution for this problem since you posted this? I am experiencing this exact problem right now, it says that modules.list was not found in that directory. Framework is working, modules can be downloaded but not installed.
Thanks
reserve...
For an unknown reason I had the same issue. I was able to download and install from Xposed, and than one day it wouldn't allow me to press the "install button". Long story made short I was able to get it working by installing this app:
[XPOSED] [KK] [FIX] KitKat BUGS fixer
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-service-bug-63793-fix-t2830732
Hope that helps someone and saves them time trying to figure out what happened.
I've had this problem and the way that I do it is by disabling the exposed framework then rebooting, then it will allow you to install apps. After, activate the module, that re eneble xposed, and reboot!
Hey
I was having the same issue but i fixed it.
This might be because google get to know that the phone is modified thats why no apps get installed so the fix it that download GMS PROTECTED app from xposed download and inatall it. Activate it and reboot. And if you're unable to install then simply turn the framework off and install the module that I've mentioned above.after installing the module activate it,turn on the framework and reboot the fone. Bang.... You're good to go
