My internal storage appears as empty - General Omni Discussion

I flashed an android 5.1 nightly of omni rom on my asus tf300t. All has been well except for that my internal storage appears as empty. Es file explorer says "empty folder" and the gallery app says that there is no storage. Is there a way I can fix this?

I doubt that you just formatted the storage by mistake using some of the recovery wipe options, it happened to me once.

Get back Internal SDcard for apps storage

Hello!
Yesterday I found a fact, that my Note doesn't want to use my internal sdcard for applications storage ("Android" folder) anymore. The problem is that my external sdcard formatted for use with NTFS, so i can't update any app which automatically installs part of themselves to sdcard. without unmounting external sdcard before.
So, how can I get back my internal sdcard for using as default storage for applications installation, if they need it? THX!
Okay, i tried to wipe data and reflash LRK 4.0.4 ROM with mobile ODIN, I also tried to format internal sdcard and it doesn't helped too. I still can't move apps to internal sdcard as before due of insufficient space, despite i have about 4 gigs free on it.

[Q] sdcard0 corrupt

I tried taking a picture yesterday, as it was taking my phone crashed and rebooted. Usually I don't find this to be a big deal, but when it rebooted the phone came up with a notification that "Blank SD card: SD card is blank or has unsupported filesystem." When I click on that it says "Format SD card? All data on your card (under path '/storage/sdcard0') will be erased. This action can't be reversed!"
Although I believe sdcard0 is internal memory, I backed up my sd card just in case by plugging the micro sd card (32 gb patriot class 10, about 22 months old) into my computer and it read just fine, so I copied all the data off of it, formatted the sd card, copied all the data back on, and turned on my phone. I still get the same error and can run ES File Explorer and it shows all my data on the sd card in /storage/sdcard1 (although opening up the Gallery app shows "No external storage available" but opening up pics from ES File Explorer still shows them behind the message). Just to confirm, sdcard0 is the internal memory right? If I format sdcard0 will that format my entire rom? Am I better off wiping and reflashing? I don't think I have anything important on the internal memory.
I'm running cm-10.1-20130806 (waiting to upgrade to 4.3 when Bluetooth is working).

Wiping internal memory worked fine, thanks again for the help. I thought I would have more free time to try out your pac rom, hopefully I can get around to flashing this weekend.

Dunno what to tell ya. It worked for me the entire time while on vacation. Make sure to click bluetooth and go into the deeper settings and turn it on in there.

[Q] Unmountable sdcards after flashing 4.4?

So.. I did what I planned for this weekend - installing the Carbon 4.4.2 rom. ^^
But I have a problem..
In recovery, when I select "Mount USB storage", my computer can detect both the internal storage and the external sdcard. But I can't move files to any of them. I can't even read files.
First, I thought this was a driver issue, but yesterday I noticed that I couldn't move Dolphin Browser's download location to ext sdcard.
It appears that the internal storage is listed twice in the storage directory, while only one of the links is working. The external sd however is listed only once and unfortunately not working.. :/
And by the way, any file managers work just fine. I have full access to the ext sd there..
Hope anyone can help me.

Hmm..mine also..using J1 ace 2015 android 4.4.4..also cannot move/copy pictures/music to ext sdcard..weird..is it samsung or google problem??annoying!!

Internal storage and Cyanogen problems

I experience a strange thing when installing CM 11 in my p880 the internal storage appears in CM empty (freshly initialized) despite there having been files before installing CM from that storage.
Now, when I boot back to ClockWork it shows me the new empty /sdcard but when I install a backup from the external sd card of the stock OS than the contents of the internal SD card is back and all the stuff that CM created/added is located inside a subdirectory of it /sdcard/0/
And no the backup did not contain the contents of the internal storage only boot.img /system and /data and /cache
So apparently Cm11 is handling the internal storage differently from he stock ROM in a way that makes its original content inaccessible :/
What wonders me the most is that ClockWork assumes the internal storage behavior of the installed ROM shouldn't that be independent?
That surly must be a known behavior so whats up with that can I somehow make CM use the internal sd instead of its /0/ subdirectory.
Or is the only way to not have inaccessible files to format the sd card from ClockWork while it still shows it properly just before flashing cm11?

Internal Storage Inaccessible

Hello!
I've been using CM13 by @HDHR till now. I flashed the AOSP N by @el7is recently and everything worked well except the internal storage issue...
It Is there and apps are installed in it; but the files are inaccessible
Root explorer displays a prompt 'SD card is not mounted' , Gallery says 'External memory not mounted'(something like that).
Buut the files in sd card are accessible via explorer
I formatted the sd card as internal and still everything is same. But now none of the folders are accessible.
Please Help :crying:
