[Q] about criskelo ics v2 rom

May i know why criskelo ics rom thread was deleted? he was created a really good rom

Yeah I just saw it half hour ago and was gonna download it to try but can't find it too.

I'm using it now. Smooth as butter. Nice theming as well . Only missing point is Samsung apps is not included in rom. I was going to type it in the thread but i recognised it was gone

yeh im using it now as daily, almost perfect rom, but damn why it was removed :O

Is the thread been deleted ( if so why ? ) or is it my browser that is acting up ???

Couple of questions so just like ol times ICS repack full wipe then his rom? Also does clock weather worka with this rom? Thanks for the link bro.

Last thing I saw was that there was some discussion on wether or not this rom was (partly) midnite rom, without ginving due credit. It was put to attention of the mods. Apperently there was enough truth in that claim that the thread was deleted.

i flashed repack chainfires, made some reboots to settle ics, then made full wipe and flashed criskelo rom and no problems for me, no fc, no lag, just now i faced up with one problem, wtf criskelo rom thread was deleted -.-

flashing is just like u mentioned. Clock widget doesn't work but the rom is rock solid

criskelo rom = good rom i follow his rom since I900>I9100>note but now he leave.....

i flashed it too, but why am i getting FC when I double click on the screen with the pen

Because SNote Lite is not included in Rom. Double tapping with Spen makes system trying to open an app doesnt exist.

I have a little problem with this rom. Everything work well except one thing: the last line of my keybord is totaly messed up. I'm french so Azerty keybord and when I press B (for exemple), it shows N on the screen.

Ugly font rendering!

Hello all,
I searched and searched for this weird issue I have with my SGS and couldn't find anything even remotely similar.
Please have a look at the attached image.
What you see is an SGS GT-i9000 international version, with CM9 RC2 + gapps-ics-20120429 (with the suggested gapps-ics-20120317 fix for GoogleBackupTransport).
I flashed this ROM just yesterday and I noticed this today morning. As installed apps go, not anything risky, 3-4 innocent apps I had been using in my LG Optimus GT540 plus a couple popular games.
It looks like something has gone horribly wrong with the 2D/text rendering and I can't tell why.
Any ideas?
Any help will be appreciated!

This is a ROM that include multiple fonts, is that correct? I don't think that the stock (Roboto) font has a problem. if you see the first screenshot it looks something is wrong with the text rendering in general... but I can be wrong...
Was this ROM the solution to a problem you 've faced before?

I can't understand what you mean by "This rom has its own writing and editing". You have kindly pointed me to two custom ROMs that have no apparent mention of how they handle text (not font) rendering so that they are relatedy to my issue and are gingerbread based.
I would rather stick to ICS for now, as it has been known to work (I used to have this, and I want to move to CM9 now).

Install for us AT&T users is very simple but funky at the same time. Just wipe and flash with flash-fire, like normal.
Then go through the aroma set up. The ROM doesn't officially support Flash-fire but I have seen a few others in the OP from our AT&T locked Boot-loaders who have flashed this just fine also.
The funky part of the install is aroma itself. It works but flashes and flickers a lot. You can read and make out all the selections, you just have to deal with the flashing. After the install is complete click the reboot option in Aroma and it will reboot. First boot as usual takes up to 5 minute but sometimes only a couple minutes.
After flashing the ROM, use the add on zip to get back any Samsung apps that you want to have installed. This ROM is super debloated so things like themes and all cast have to be added through the add on zip Along with either the Alliance framework, or 3minit framework. I am using the Alliance framework because I like the ability to fully customize the toggles and other things more than having a bunch of different battery's to choose from.

Also works, but If you click the reboot option after the install it will freeze up and not restart. I dont know why it does that but just click the reboot option off and restart it yourself.
When using the alliance framework and changing the drop down toggles
do not choose "OTA flashable" toggles in the drop down menu or your UI will FC so bad you have to wipe it all and reflash everything from scratch.
Support for the rom can be found in the Developers thread.

I can try to answer your questions, since I have gone through the OP repeatedly before flashing this. But I think your questions will be better answered in and by the OP.
I also got Viper4Android working and the edge feeds for music and quick launch with no issues just following their OP threads.
This ROM is sweet so far, I have had no issues with anything since my re-flash due to the toggle issue.

He hasn't responded and if he does and he isn't happy with me posting a redirect post I will delete the post. It is there, scrolling through the list can be a pain but it is there.
It is weird you couldnt flash it as a normal zip from the DL folder. Thats where I flashes it from both times I flashed the rom and add-on pack.

Guess I don't see how anyone wouldn't want someone to tell others about their work? either way I sent him a message.

No Samsung account.
The only issue I have found is you cannot sign into your Samsung account. Thus can't download galaxy apps.

I opened the theme store and it asked me to sign in' it signed me in just fine.

I went through the aroma installer again this morning because I wanted the smart manager app.
There is an option for the samsung account theme store and the samsung app store. all seperate, if you go through the aroma installer again I am sure you will find it

I did that previously with the same issue. I didn't resolve the issue until I opted to keep the stock framework as oppose to the alliance. Thanks for the help though.

Anyone else having GPS issues? It seems to half work. It will locate me, but not track when moving. So, nav is broken

From stock, rooted (pingpong) rom applied rom and add-on files with flashfire. They use an aroma installer which causes a lot of screen flicker (for me at least), but it's not impossible to get through it. You will see some black screens and extended reboot first time so be patient.
YMMV, but it's running great for me.
UPDATE: flashed at least 6 times over the weekend (rom and add-ons, so does that count as 12?). Had one hiccup where it appeared to hang on exiting the aroma installer for reboot. Gave the phone the 3 finger salute (vup, vdown, power) and it rebooted to continue the install. No knox trip and is as safe as flashing anything else under flashfire.

Thank you for the share and taking the risk...

God Mode works with ATT also.

I believe it's in the rom. The rom creator has it slated for fix in next release.
One ATT user in the original post claims to have no problem, where most others do (myself included). This user also accidently flashed some other rom(s). He's not clear about clean / dirty flashing or wipes. I'll just wait for v1.6 to see how it goes.
There is a flashable add-on pack to restore the removed items noted by NizzleFish98.

Does it still have "my files" app? I like the way it is for non root stuff
It looks like you can add some of the stuff back with aroma, if im reading right.
Does it have the extra camera downloads or can you at least add them.
Fingerprint I could live with out

Does tether work and "OK Google" (I had problems with" OK Google" after installing tethering zip"
Currently downloading files and backing up now.

Not too sure about the addons as I have no need for them but yes everything is used with FlashFire. Just wipe and select zip and boom, you'll be sent to a setup mode that can be a little tricky but not too hard. If you figure out the addons, let me know how they go. Cheers!

You flash the stripped down rom (500mb or so) let it boot up then use flashfire again with the 800mbish add-on zip and just pick whatever you want back ,like peel rmote control app or w/e you want. It's super easy.

That's weird, it works fine for me and I'm running 1.5. Bizaro world for sure.

Went from Dennis' Rom did full wipe (except internal storage) and flashed the ROM only. All worked perfectly. I then went and flashed the aroma zip after all my apps from google were restored.
maps/gps, incall audio, and fingerprint scanner all 100%

Are you sure GPS works as it should? Could you install GPS TEST from playstore and confirm that multiple satellites are locking on. I have installed three times today and I get some partial GPS function, if you consider one or two streets over acceptable.
Also can you forward calls in your phone settings?

Yea im looking into making an separate addon aroma zip with those kind of mods and bloat
Basically i want to separate the users in 2 sides:
1. Those sot-freaks who want the rom as light as possible
2.Those who want the most no-compromise rom ever --and for them this addon zip im cooking up is for.

Ah cool, well im one that choose for light as possible, but with a few personal mods like
1. adaway, verry importand to block adds
2. viper4android or a replacer like a.r.i.s.e, bcuz i like to get more out of my headphone
3. 3minit, it's nice to have a organized taskbar
4. keybaord symbols when long press a key, fot the lazyness and easyness of typing, i noticed it wasn't in the n5 rom
5. Google play services, some apps require it, a personal alarm clock like "wake me up asuna" , i beleve it use text to speech or it won't understand spoken commands
Thats all i need sofar
Even touchwiz i don't care for since i use nova launcher, it's faster and have a key
Ofc some can be installed separately, but i don't like to play with system files to get viper to work and end up breaking it like i did with my dads lg g3
Anyway i test it in a few hours , dl is slow and its 00:00 so yeah

No. Samsung didnt release (yet) nougat sources so theres no way to port aod drivers to the kernel.
They will after nougat is officialy out

Before I flashed the zip I made a factory reset (system wipe. Data wipe. Cache wipe)...and antutu crashed a couple of times... Anyway the antutu score doesn't matter so much..

And.. I don't know if magisk works.. I installed the app (magisk manager) and it shows me that the device is not rooted
