It's not possible for free. You can use an i-smart SIM or get a code

Eh, I don't think mm2236 has rooted his incS even. Correct me if I'm wrong.
But a simple search on "Root Inc S" would help, check out one of the sticky threads on the dev section

A friend of mine unlocked bl via it.

That's how I got it.
It will not and has not updated. Ever. My girl has been too lazy (for over a year now) To take it to sprint. It's about an hour drive so it's not like right next door.
I've never been in this thread does anyone know the method to gain root?

Revone does not require you to be unlocked.
So no need for htcdev.
