I have the N9208 and I'm curios if I can flash the current stock firmware with T-Mobile firmware (BOH6) thru ODIN ?

I have a Canadian variant with a different model number but I want to install firmware from tmobile which basically has the same specs, but when I do Odin flash I get fail messages. The only firmware that works is for my specific model N910W8.
How can I flash other country firmware? Anyone know how? I did it with my S5 so I'm confused. Thanks

It's not a question of another country's firmware but instead it's just a fact that
you should not and cannot odin flash a different model's firmware into your
phone no matter how similar the two models might be.
I cannot odin flash firmware from sammobile designed
for N910W8 into my N910T model either.
You are lucky that your odin flashing of N910T firmware simply failed,
it could have been a disaster since it could have easily bricked your phone.
Remember there is a BIG difference between firmware and roms...
They are NOT the same thing...
You will be able to flash some zip file roms which are designed for the N910T
successfully using twrp recovery but before you do I would strongly suggest to
do a lot of research before flashing anything so you don't wind up with a shiny
brick.
Good luck!

Appreciate your time for the answer! Thanks
I'm trying to flash Sprints N920P with international unbranded firmware. phone is rooted, TWRP already installed and OEM unlocked.
Tried to flash N920CXXU1AOI3_N920COXE1AOI3_SER with odin but failed.
could you please give me any advise?
best regards,
Zaza
Every stock firmware that i have dowload, doesnt work in ODIN. Flash FAILED why?
Pretty sure it's because things such as the baseband are specific to the model. I don't think you can flash N920I firmware onto a N920T, and vice-versa. I have a N920I but am able to use a N920T based ROM (while keeping the N920I firmware), but with a N920I based kernel.

Changing Tmob rom to a international version its possible (See thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s6-edge/help/convert-t-mobile-to-international-t3069246) . Maybe I’m using the incorrect international version or Tmob bootloader is locked and I haven’t found the way to get into fastboot to unlock it.
That is for a galaxy s6. The note5 cannot have official stock firmware flashed from one model to another. e.g. n920t stock firmware will not be allowed by Odin to be flashed on the n920i. Now, a custom rom (like the Darthstalker rom) that is built off a specific variant's rom as a base can be flashed through custom recovery on most devices. I personally use darthstalker, a n920t based rom, on my n920i. The baseband cannot be touched unless it's from an official stock firmware that is specific to your device.
My Tab S2 SM-T810 (wifi only) has latest Canadian firmware installed (5.1.1), can i update it to the latest firmware available on Sammobile? 6.0.1 is available but the pda and csc is different, ie different countries. If yes, how? I tried using odin - but it seems to get stuck on the bootloader screen and doesnt do anything.
Any help would be appreciated
yes you can flash a different region rom on your canadian firmware. i flashed MM uk version onto my canadian S2 SM-T710...
I've got a Telstra-branded S8+ (code TEL according to Sammobile) and I want to flash regular unbranded firmware onto it but I'm a little confused by all this talk of CSCs and so on. Is it safe to download the Australia (XSA) firmware and simply flash the HOME_CSC file over the top of what's already there, or is there more to it than that? Do I need to worry about this tripping Knox/breaking Safetynet/disabling OTAs/etc?
I have had no issues with flashing XSA on my Singapore model Note 8. As long as it is the official firmware this will not trip Knox.
Though your original CSC will appear in the Software Information as the third CSC. Mine currently shows XSA/XSA/XSP (XSP is Singapore)
