Rooted HTC Mini 2 Camera Click and Autofocus sound still there? - HTC One Mini 2

How do I remove these files...Tried alot of apps with root access which still haven't given me a silence camera, shifted around alot in the root access not found anything.
The click as you focus and the click as the photo is taken...my phone is rooted so how do I get rid of it?

You can do that by simply going into camera definitions> camera options> turn shutter sound off.

Not in this region there is no option to turn off the shutter sound.
I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING.
1. I am using the file explorer. I have found the offending files. I have deleted them, renamed them, cut them, done everything humanly possible.
Yet everytime I go back there they have reappeared and continue to sound. I literally cannot fathom how ****ing hard it is to delete a 20kb click on a rooted phone
2. I have also tried the ULTIMATE sound control app which is very good at locating the problomatic sounds but and I turn them off using that program
And you guessed it they're right back there. These files are undeletables
I need to take pictures of some pretty furry stuff at work and I cannot have drip clickity clack clack when I am trying to take pictures....I don't know what else to try atm. I don't understand how they keep coming back where does the 30kb come from if I just deleted it

It could be possible that your region has a law against turning off shutter sounds which is why it has been omitted. Where did you buy it from? That could clear a bit of why the option isn't there.
EDIT: Did you try using the camera in silent mode? Maybe, just maybe the camera app will not have shutter sounds. It works for me though

I don't think gaining S-OFF will accomplish this. If you want to try though, google Sunshine. It lets you S-OFF modern HTC devices, albeit with a $25 fee

the problem in question is how to disable the click NOT what he's using it for.
same reason if you want to disable flash so you dont get notice when taking a picture of your friend sleeping with an open mouth.

[Q] Custom shutdown animations

Does anyone have a custom shutdown animation they would be willing to share or know of a site where I could find one? My google searches haven't turned up anything of quality..
That Verizon shutdown animation is pretty lame. I'd like to replace or remove it as well. I'm sure I can, I just haven't had time to mess around with it.

Yep, better than the stoopid VZ one, however still searching for something better myself, besides just had to do it to see if it worked
while it's nothing mind blowing, the quality seems okay for me, and it's FAR better than the lame verizon one.
those verizon animations make me feel like i'm still using my chocolate circa 2006
thanks guys.. I'll give this one a go for now.. anythings better than the awful stock verizon one.
For what its worth I made my own.
Its of my son so none of you would want it but I made it with gimp and just replaced the stock one. Works great.
Weird thing though, when I view the pics in root explorer it shows the verizon pics instead of mine.
Still plays mine but in the file it still looks like the stock pics.

Although the stock galaxy s shutdown animation isn't the greatest, I have to say its MUCH better than the stock Verizon one. I'm not going to be around a computer for a while, would someone mind posting a silent shutdown.ogg so we could get rid of the stock shutdown sound straight from the phone? Thanks in advance, guys!

If you are not near a computer and just wanna disable sounds at start and shutdown give this a try:
Go into the Dialer and enter *#83786633 then press the Home key
Go back into the phone dialer clear out previous number and enter *#22745927
Now a box will come up asking for the SPC code. Enter 000000
Press the Hiddenmenu Enable radio button.
Now you can use these codes.
The dialing code string you have to use is *#<code>#
Audio Tuning
*#28346#
Several audio tuning menus.
I've only tested the two items below:
To silence boot and shutdown audio go to Situation/BOOTSOUND and turn the values to 0. I've tested and confirmed this works.

Removing the music bar and power settings from the top slider (notification bar)

Recieved my P990 yesterday. But I cannot seem to find the right application to remove to ditch the music bar and power settings from the notification panel.
Already removed the music application etc. (trough titanium backup with root)
Does anyone know what the application is called that shows this. Or is it in the rom and can't it be removed. (which mean I have to put the music app back to make it work and ditch winamp)
Open the musicapp and open the settings, there you van disable the player in the notification bar.
That only works if you didn't remove of freezed the music app. Unfreeze, deselect the option, the musicbar is gone. Freeze or remove the app, the musicbar is there again. I've tried it many times...

Music bar is managed by the framework.
It is on by default at boot but can be turned off by the Music app. If you remove the Music app it never gets told to "turn off".
Actually, in the framework it appears really easy to totally remove this functionality but will require a patch that I've not worked on yet, and it may require to remove the actual Music app to prevent force closes.
I might have a play with that this weekend.

No problems, have a Nexus One to go back to which is sweet.
Don't (try to) replace framework-res.apk, that's what I learned...
How the hell do you brick a phone by replacing an apk? A brick is what the word suggests; A brick, paperweight etc. Surely you could replace the apk with ADB?

It's a paperweight.
I need a nv flash to replace the system.img.
The framework fails to load and a reset command is issued by the system as soon as it boots. I have adb access for less than 3 seconds before the phone restarts and can not issue a stop command before the reset command.
It's not that uncommon really.

Can't you issue the adb command and it will wait for the device to boot fully and then stop before the reset? Unless you probably already tried it. Best of luck man!

Remove "Battery Charged" notification? ...without custom ROM?

This is soooo annoying, it goes off and lights up my whole room in the middle of the night. Is there any way to remove or disable this horribly annoying feature?

Are you rooted atleast? If so use a root file exploerer and navigate to /system/media/audio/ui and rename batterycharged.ogg to batterycharged.ogg.bak. That will stop the sound.

I'm assuming if you are NOT rooted, there is no app that you can use that will give you the same access to modifying system files as described above, right?

You're right, you will need to be rooted to go change that with Root Explorer. (Superoneclick could easely do that for you)
As for your system notification, I don't think you really need it, do you? I mean, it would be a simple way around getting root. Or you could simply set them to vibration?

Camera Launch Noise

Anyone know how to turn off the camera launch sound ?
Had a quick look around and can't find any way to do it.
Not talking about the shutter sound, it's the noise that it makes when you press the dedicated camera key to launch the camera app.
So that would be no then?

Maybe you can't do it in the Sony stock ROM, if you've rooted your Z1 though you can probably locate the audio file and delete it, or modify the apk file that calls the audio file and delete the line that actually plays the audio file.

Probably would work but find it incredible that such an intrusive noise like this can't be switch off. Currently the only way to stop it is to turn the volume down on the phone.

I just received my device and I'll have a look for you. I can't provide an easy way to disable the sound though since I'm not that good with smali or whatever. But I can probably locate the audio file and tell you about it. Other than that, wait for the custom roms.
Perhaps it can be replaced by a quieter shorter sound, the current noise is the electronic equivalent of Dom Joly shouting 'I'M USING MY CAMERA'.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Okay I found the audio file for you, didn't do it last night because of other things.
It's located here: /system/app/SemcCameraUI.apk/res/raw/start_up_notifier.wav
I assume you can delete it and you shouldn't have the start up sound anymore. The problem at the moment is that unlocking the bootloader breaks the camera, and I don't feel like breaking my camera to try and see if it works.
Just to be save, make sure you backup your "SemcCameraUI.apk" file before modifying it and if things don't do as planned, put it back.
you dont have to unlock the bootloader to delete that file, root is enough.

That's totally true, but you can't modify the odexed apk file. You first have to deodex it, delete it, then odex it again and see if it works.. speaking of which I can give it a shot. Will report back later!

Can you help with and install that app with adb, I don't know how to do it.
Not the same device and somebody else may have a better source but these guys gave me some info I wasn't aware of (plus is the first one I could come up with
://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/noob-read-adb-fastboot-how-hep-t2807273
I pulled the phone app off mine and replaced it with drupe to set if there was lost functionality. So far works pretty well, like the app had never used it before. I think my wife has the straight Google dialer for nougat on her n5, up pull it off there and give it a run. I never really used those other features so they never meant anything to me just duplication. If I want to message I message etc..
Teu downloading that file and the program win - zip says it will open those files. Haven't gotten inside it yet myself but I would think that being a regular apk if it is still slow you to install it the normal way
I had the same problem, AT&T is my carrier. I had to insert a T-Mobile SIM, open the contacts app and hot swap the SIM back to AT&T, at which point the phone rebooted and all was well.
There is probably another way to do this, as it seems to be related to video calling.
I Uninstalled my lg dailer to see if I could duplicate the issue. Got rid of that app and replaced it with drupe. Really like the way that app works but it seems that you can't use the dailer codes to access the hidden service menu without it. I don't use the video value so that means nothing to me, but those codes could be useful.
I've got a tgz file that I sent you but can't seem to open it up to extract that apk.
All you did was switch out SIM cards? That sounds odd to me, but I did notice that once the call is placed the LG dealer /call interface shows up but as soon s you end the call away goes the dialer
You know what all ths phone dialer exist in? I searched. For phone.apk found nothing?
you can take it by yourseld...extract the kdz of you model smartphone take the system img and open it with ext2explore, then explore the system image save it on you computer explore system image saved and take all your apk you need..save in your microsd and install..
