Can't move application from phone memory to SD card
Unable to move application from Phone memory to SD card.
Unable to set default photo and video path to SD card
Try to insert your SD card into an another phone. It looks like it's broken. Or you can make a factory reset.

Hi guys, I have a problem with my external sd card (atleast I think). I can open files from it from my file manager( I use ES file manager) but I cannot access my files from my Music Player. And also when I try to open Camera, Google Music and so on they seem to force close. Also when i reboot the phone it says "Preparing sd card" and that's it. I have noticed that when I remove my external sd card the phone is back to normal and I can access all the apps in the phone. So I ask you this. First, is this a external sd card problem? And second, no matter if it's a external sd card or internal storage how can I fix it? (I have formatted my external sd card from my phone like 3 or 4 times and I formatted it 1 time from my PC). Please help me!
Hi,
My phone is installed by a pre-rooted MM rom and currently it's working welll without any problem.
But I found out one issue for sd card name.
internal memory name is under 'sdcard'.
sd memory(External) name is under 'storage/9016-4EF8'.
I think some app's data is not moved to sd card(External) due to that sd memory name.
For example, I installed "Day" app and data is saved both 'Internal' and 'Ext' in Link2SD app and App2SD app.
I checked file location for the app using 'Link2SD' but app's file location is still in the Internal.
Internal - Data(Data in Link2Sd) : /data/user/0/com.osmino.day
External - Data on SD Card(Data(Ext.) in Link2Sd) : /data/media/0/Android/data/com.osmino.day (Why internal???)
So I could not move data to Data(Ext.) because it's already recognized Data(Ext.) to extern SD card.
I think External SD Card file location would be like this "/storage/9016-4EF8/data/media/0/Android/data/com.osmino.day".
How can I change sd card and internal name or move to external sd card to move to external SD Card?
Do you have any idea?
Thank you.

There are several paths to the external SD card with MM
/storage/exfat_uuid
is probably the shortest.
Download a copy of root explorer and familiarise yourself with the new MM file structure, it's not complicated, it just has new names from LL.
Using apps to move other apps onto the SD card doesn't sound like a recipe for success.
Let the Sony app manager do it.
thanks for reply.
then how can i move data to real external sd?
my storage is not enough so i need moving.
i think some app try to install data in external sd. I think many apps try to find sdcard named. currently sd card is internal memory. and exact sd card name is storage/9016-4ef8. i think that's why my internal memory is not enough.

Take the SD card out, save the data on it, then format it
When you put it back in your phone and it asks you what to do with the SD card, DO NOT format as internal storage. This feature doesn't really work, or if you do get it to work. then it's really buggy and apps can't use it.
Once you have the SD card working, just use settings/apps/*your app* In the first bar down it will say where the app is stored and if you click on it, it will give you the option to move it.
After installing CM12 on my Xperia V, I've moved some apps to my internal sd card (sdcard0), they work well and everything is fine.
Now when i insert external sd card to my phone , all apps moved to sdcard0 are disappeared, when i remove my external sd card and turn on my phone again the apps back again. I want to use my external sd card, can you help me?
Note: when i connect my ext sd card to computer i find android_secure folder.
Did it happen on any ROM u are using? Try to format sd card via pc and put it into ur phone and reinstall the apps with external card inserted in phone.

This is my first ROM.
I've tried formatting the sd card and the problem still not solved. The apps were installed on the external card before " by using Link2SD" but i want them on the internal storage
Note: When i try to move an app to sd card using normal app manager when the ext sd card inserted, they move to the ext card not sdcard0. so that's why i move them when ext card not inserted, they moved well but when i insert my sd card back they disappear.
I got a 32GB Class SD Card, when I inserted it on my P9 I use it as a default storage. But when I install apps and check them in the settings it says Internal Storage not on my SD card.
I have moved some of my apps to an external SD card. I want to replace my SD card with a larger one, but don't want to break the apps that I've migrated to the SD card. If I copy all of the files from the old SD card to the new one, is there any way that I can retain access to the apps on the SD card without having to re-install them?
The reason I don't want to re-install the apps is that one of them (an e-reader app) has a large number of readable documents. These take a long time to download, and need to be done one at a time. Hence it would literally take hours to restore it.
All apps data should be in the Android folder of the SD card. So, just copy the whole Android folder to the new SD card. But make sure all apps that have been moved to SD card proir are not running while you swap SD cards.
Thanks. My concern is the name assigned to external SD cards seems to be different for each card. For example, my current card is listed as "4575-5888". If I replace it with a different card I assume that name/number will be different for the new card. If the apps installed on the old SD card refer to "4575-5888" then would they be broken when I put the new SD card in, even if I have copied over the /Android folder?
The name of the SD card makes no matter for sdcard1 is always sdcard1 = SD card slot.
