My MotoG 2014 with Lollipop 5.0.2 is unrooted, I have read other threads about this problem: I've installed Lollipop on it from brand new phone.
The scenario is still that there is no way to track down who is draining the battery on unrooted Lollipop? :crying:
I have Google position on, wifi on, bt off, 2 sim with one active for data.
Yesterday the phone lied on a table for about 11 hours before taking the following screenshot, I may have used it (in that 11hrs) for less that one hour not continuously

How can I find the responsible app? Should I start powering off Google position?
Try to reset your device ..! This should fix it..! And that's not a huge drain in my opinion because WiFi , 3g , and auto sync is on always so its Normal 11 hrs standby and still some juice is remaining that's great actually..! ☺

If with reset you mean Factory Reset, I will leave that as last because restoring an unrooted phone is a pain (to be polite! )...
Right now I've followed the (few) steps for unrooted phone from http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/guide-how-to-best-battery-life-moto-g-t3049970
configured localisation as "Battery Save"
removed "my face" from Smart Lock
installed Greenify and hibernated (manually... ) a few app
I cannot leave the phone in standby for long time now, I will see on next weekend!
BTW: from my point of view 80% used in 11 hrs standby is not great...
The above steps didn't change a lot the battery drain...
With "App of the Day" I got Battery Booster, actually I'm using it only to its statistics: I do not know how much I can trust them but so far the only apps that are using battery even when the phone is in StandBy are:
System UI
MotoCare
I can understand the first, but what about MotoCare?? Is it a vital component? Can I safely disable it?
I do have only Motorola Alert activated and running, but I can disable it! Both Assist and Migrate are disabled.

Hi guys,
I'm having problems with battery like everybody else.
I'm not a n00b about this and I have no crazy apps installed (I'll attach the list of apps I have)
My rotation sensor is off,
AutoBrightness is off,
HSDPA is turned off,
UMTS is turned off,
EDGE is always on and AutoSync is always on.
I have only 1 widget running that is Battery Monitor Widget.
Using SpeedMod K13C 500Hz with no tweaks applied and no lagfixes applied, I'm having huge battery drain randomly, most probably when I switch network connections wifi-edge-wifi-edge.
Here's my RomKitchen log file

Here's a screenshot from my last battery graph (this rom is installed almost 20 days ago)

As you can see, my battery instantly dropped by huge amount.
All I did was wake up the phone,
toggle Wifi ON,
open Skype,
login, call a contact for 3 minutes,
logout Skype,
toggle wifi off.
What I want to know is, if Wifi driver patch needed with this setup? Will it make any difference? Maybe it was not my wifi but my screen?
I desperately need advice on this.
Thanks guys.
Uninstall Skype and test it. Its running even when logged out and eating too much battery. Have tested it withhero and system panels monitor. ..
The battery draining that much all at once strikes me as very odd.
Off the cuff that seems like a reporting error to me. Try recalibrating the battery a few times the old fashioned way (drain fully, charge to 100 while off, wipe batt stats, rinse, repeat) and see if it happens again.
Good luck.
Thought about trying totally stock for while I tried different kernells and found I still go back to stock best ive had is js5 getting around 45 hours on stock against charging twice aday with modded phone

Calibrating battery and freezing skype with titanium backup seem to fix problem.
Thanks

Might not be your power bank, try using BBS to find out
After a day i can confirm is NOT the power bank. since this happened in the past 3 days
i used Airplane mode all the night to see if some a is Wakelock my phone and got just 3 % of battery usage with the power bank attached, so i manage another test since BBS told me is Android System RIL or something like that.
Second Test: Disabled 3G+ Connectivity for 2 hours and enable just GSM 2G and just got 4 % dropped ( i make a few calls and used whatsapp so is OK), i think is 3G becuase where ilive is outside the city and recently we got a heavy storms (causing shoutdown of the nearest anntena) i have low reception rnothing and 3g running so i think my phone is using more battery trying to acquire more signal and 3G support.
Can anyone help? I just got my Nexus 6 a few days ago and have already had a lot of problems. Battery draining fast, randomly turning off, phone battery "dying" at 45% etc. I heard the Franco kernel could fix this so I flashed it via fast boot (storage wasn't mounted in recovery so I couldn't do it that way. But in any case the fast boot flash went through and the battery started draining normally so I thought all was good. I even took a screenshot just in case.

That was until my phone randomly turned off and when I turned it back on the battery was draining super fast again so I checked kernel and here is what I believe is the stock kernel reverted back on its own
I don't know what causes this but it's happened twice and not sure how else to proceed.

When I got my N6 about 19 months ago the battery life was not enough for a day.
I got a better battery life as follows.
a. Deleted apps I hardly use.
b. Switch apps to use black/dark themes. Use layers with dark themes.
c. Deleted apps with only a white background.
Replaced f.i. Gmail by Aquamail.
At this moment I use the lite stock rom MOB30m of Danvdh. Prerooted and debloated.
I suggest to start with flashing this ROM.

I signed up for the Android N beta and updated, that seems to have fixed the draining problem but not the battery dying at 50% . Any ideas how to fix that? Or do I need a new battery?

Sounds like a calibration issue. Google that and try and see if that helps.
Hi guys
S10 5G (SM-G977B) owner. Been using since launch. Exynos version with latest update - G977BXXS2ASJ7.
Always recharge to 80% battery to maintain health for lifespan of phone. Avoid leaving it plugged in overnight.
This looks like a bug that I have noticed following the last major update which introducted a bunch of Galaxy Note features such as Samsund DeX for windows.
Phone will literally hold 4% charge for hours. Picture attached. Is there a fix for this or is this a known issue? Couldn't find anything online with all posts about high drain touching on the usual suspects (always on display, 5G switched on, performance mode, screen brightness etc)

Have you tried a factory reset? Or ever done a clean install using Odin files with CSC_OMC?
I'd suggest factory reset as this seems like a glitch with your device. It's definitely not a known issue with the 5G or any S10 variant.
Hopefully it's not a battery or other hardware issue that's apeared. But the reset will help rule that out. It's a good idea to do it once in a while anyway.
Also, not charging overnight, and only charging to 80%, is saving you next to nothing on long term battery life. Unless you plan to keep the phone for something like 4 or 5 years, you'll see absolutely no difference in the life of the battery over the next years or two by doing that. You're best to charge to 100% and get the full 100% charge during the day.
Thanks mate. No factory reset yet attempted. Always painful re-synching all the apps and 2fa services so generally try to avoid. I have attempted Davlik cache wipe but that made no tangible benefit. Accubattery reporting 85% battery health and this is despite my battery babysitting ways (3774mAh actual vs 4400mAh design)
Hello all,
I recently buy an OPPO find X3 pro and I'm really annoying with battery life. I could not succeed to reach more than 3h of SOT and would like to know if it's normal.
I already perform a factory reset without success (back-up and restore from a PC). I don't know what to do know.
I've installed GSAM and allow "more stats" with ADB and notice that Android System is the most battery consumer but I don't know if it's normal. In idle, power consumption is acceptable 3-5% overnight but as soon as use it I see battery level decrease rapidly.
I've also a Galaxy watch. At the begining I saw a high drain from "watch plugin" but I authorize it to run in background + no battery optimization and it seems Ok now.
Does anyone have a solution to help me solve this problem ? I really like this new phone btw (after my old OP6T) but the battery is really awful...
Thanks in advance !
Below some screenshots :
2h20 of SOT only and 35% left

Hi,
I had the same problem. Did the following:
1) Reset to factory settings;
2) Restarted the phone;
3) went to Settings > Battery > More Settings > Optimise battery use > set all apps to Auto-Optimise.
If you want to test if you probably have a faulty battery you shoud do the following:
1) charge your phone till 100%;
2) restart the phone;
3) disconnect it from the charger;
4) switch on airplane mode;
5) leave the phone unused for 8-10h.
If the battery drops bellow 93%, you have a faulty battery that needs to be replaced.
Bare in mind that this processor is very power hungry, nevertheless OPPO should have predicted it and pack with the phone a, at least, 5000mAh battery.
Hope it helps!
