Hey all, i don't use windows, only have a virtual machine (which doesn't seem to work well with adb).
Does no-one use linux to flash here? I'm looking for a linux only tutorial?

I've got root trough VM with one-click method. I was using VMWare Player in Ubuntu 9.10.
adb is working fine on my gentoo machine, it is even better than on the offtopic I got root and everything using linux. And you don't need different tutorials - everything is almost the same.

You want to replace the android Linux with ubuntu or run chrooted? No one has done this with an incs that I'm aware of. The phones hardware is definitely capable though.
no i dont wanna replace with android i wanna install it with chroot like desire HD...

I wanna download and install Ubuntu on my PC and Dual Boot Windows 7 and Ubuntu. My issue is which version of Ubuntu should i install. Ubuntu 11.10 or 12,04? I have heard different things about both and different opinions...so..yeah
