UAG Monarch Series

My Monarch case for my Note 8 is shipping! I'll see if i can give a quick review once i get it in my hands. Looks awesome on the site:

Update 1: Sorry guys I've been so busy of late I completely forgot about this post. On the positive side it gives me more time with the case. If you've had a UAG case in the past the Monarch is just a better built version of their previous cases. It looks fantastic, it feels great, it's not a fingerprint magnet like I was fearing, and it's thin and light. I don't know how UAG will handle the 10 year warranty if there is ever a need to take advantage of it but it seems sturdy enough to last at least 2 years. I can take pictures of the device at a later time but like all of the UAG cases it fits like a glove.
I won't be applying a screen protector until I find one with little to no complaints. My note5 did fine in the 2 years without one and I don't see a big need for one with even better glass.

Just got my Monarch and I love it

Would love a in depth review of the Monarch on the Note 8. Thinking of switching to UAG from Otterbox and would appreciate having more info before doing so.

Love UAG cases but will need to confirm it works with Dome Glass. I saw a couple videos where they test various cases with Dome Glass but did not see this one reviewed.

I believe I saw somewhere that you need to put on your Dome Glass perfectly in-order for the UAG cases to work. Not 100% though

Are your cases a bit loose at the bottom?

He also showed the plasma compatible with glass screen protector. I heard the plasma is not very friendly with most screen protector.

The question is which screenprotector he is using?! In general you're right. None of the glasses i've tried worked with the plasma. Atm i'm using a wet installed conventional screen protector.

The Note 8 Plasma cases are tempered glass killers and that's a fact.

Can someone post the dimensions of the Monarch case?

recieved my case now.. its bit loose at the bottom

I have a plyo and it's a bit loose at the bottom. I think it's because the large cutout for the Spen that weakens that area.

That tempered screen has glue in the middle or just around the edges?

Honor View 10 Tempered Glass
I am getting my mobile tomorrow. Does it come with a tempered glass. If not, which one would you recommend from Flipkart / Amazon.in ?

So far no good tempered glass has been in market due to some unusual curved 2.5D edges of view 10. If trying full screen colored TG blue TG are never the same color of the fone itself.
What available left is only the nillkin tempered glass which is not full screen and least halo or no halo effect if applied properly

Has somebody already applied a Nillkin H+ Pro to their View 10? I would love to see few real-life pictures of the actual coverage. Thank you in advance, fellas.

I installed one, removed it after 5 sec. Result? An halo effect has I've never seen before... (sorry guys forgot to take a picture)
Now I have one that has the same color of my phone and without glue in the middle.

What are your opinions about the nillkin or for this matter any other tempered glass?
I'm about to purchase the honor view 10 and will likely get a tempered glass too. Which one is better in your opinion?

Please note the eugo3d would have to be blue, I suspect it would not match the exact blue of the device which is a cons.

Bump, any luck with better glass protection? Finally got myself a view 10 bought a glass protection but the screen is exposed on the sides really it's quite naff haha.

I bet that in a couple of weeks we will see full-screen full-adhesive screen protectors also known as 4D or 5D. Their price is between 8 and 15 USD but asfar as I am aware it is worth paying that amount for a full-adhesive full-screen protector.

I'd say it is quite urgent that these become available, given the weight and shape of the device if it hit a solid floor even with protection I don't think it would be able to withstand it !

I saw a screen protector on skinomi.com.It looks very promising,in my opinion,it is full screen,but it doesnt say if it has a 2.5d edge.What do you all think?

It shouldn't matter since it is gel.

Today I found a full-screen full-adhesive tempered glass from AliExpress, also known as 5D tempered glass. I have left the link below, but for now there is only black color...

just ordered a tube of that uv glue and a tempered glass from that site.
been looking for an alternative to whitestone. its my second install and the damn glass is lifting again in the side about mid height.
hope this gorilla brand yeild better and longer lasting results.

How did that turn out?

There are now really good entire self adhesive curved tempered glass protectors, the ones with only borders glue were garbage, I bought one MOSS brand, it is perfect, even ordered 2 more as spares some 8 dlls a piece

I got a Nillkin 3D Curved Tempered Glass from ebay a week ago and so far it seems very good. Its easy to install and goes well with my cover (Mofi from aliexpress).

You are a lucky men, better break 10 thousands protectors than the screen, if you have to replace the screen you loose the water resistance.
Also I wanted to see the case front , aliexpress don't show it in any photo.

Same here. I had it on my Google Pixel 2XL and its been for almost 3 years. Granted, there were hairline scratches/cracks but it was barely noticeable from multiple drops. I did remove it prior to selling and the screen was flawless.

I desperately need a good tempered glass, as the most found in the Indian market, doesn't work with fingerprint lock, and Indian users here

S21U comes with the curved display eh. No matter what, the sides of the TG wont stick properly on the curved edges. And Of course I haven't come across any TG offering fingerprint sending compatibility. I had to go for the Gadgetshieldz full body screen protector along with the stock case. I will be ordering the OnePlus 10 Pro in tomorrow's sale and looking to order urgently some good screen protector/tempered glass and case options so that it gets here around the same time as my OnePlus 10 pro which will be arriving tentatively this week. Since it's a curved screen most tempered glass options might fail. What should I go for? UV Glass or liquid screen protector or some kind of film protection?

It comes with pre-applied plastic screenprotector, so there is no need to rush. Look around for the best alternative.

Yeah, but the plastic protector is worst in getting so many scratches and I always change the factory protector because it doesn't do any good for the phone!

I think nillkin have a good screen protector, not sure if glass or plastic though. It's on their official website.

Nillkin does not have screen protectors for the OP10 Pro, so you can check out Gadgetshieldz film screen protector or FIVE-O tempered glass, which are available for now!

Yes, I searched for Nillkin and it is not available anywhere! I'll check out these 2 brands, thanks for the suggestion.

Highly recommend Spigen brand. https://www.spigen.com/collections/oneplus-series
They are cheaper on amazon than on official website though.

Is that a tempered glass because many users complain about the fingerprint problem with tempered glasses so I would go with the Gadgetshieldz screen protector as vikram878 said.

I'll let you know as soon as I've got it installed.
Main thing for me is I wanted to make sure screen protector and case were not going to "clash".
On top of that Gadgetshieldz has some 24$ shipping to Europe.
I used the UniqueMe film protectors before and was pretty happy with those. Might give them a try if the Nillkin protector is very bad.

Yes, the shipping cost is high for foreign countries, but for 15-20 days it is cheaper. I'm from India and I don't have a shipping cost so I suggested it.

Yeah, thanks for the heads up Nillkin is bad I guess I saw some reviews on it and in Gadgetshieldz $24 is very high but I saw the other shipping method which delivers the product in 15-20 days so I'm gonna go with it because I got a silicon case with the phone so I can wait and can cancel it after your review on Unique me protector...

Tried official Cases all 3, none gives the satisfaction, ordered an Latercase cyber edition, will inform what it feels like

Yeah, thanks for the response! I was gonna get the Spigen case but I'll wait for your update.

I got my screen protector from Gadgetshieldz today and it sticks well to the screen, the installation was easy and I used this protector on my previous phone too so the quality is good!

I'm going with Spigen Liquid Air case and a Slim Carbon Fiber Rubber TPU Back Case (eBay).

Nice it is good and does not scratch the phone's side frame because plastic cases will scratch it!
