Just a query..I have a few things preventing me upgrading at the moment.. I'm not sure if it was simply because I didn't have system r/w when I tested it.
I'm happy to test myself when I get chance but until then, thought I'd ask in case someone knows.
Quiet day at work so I tested it today and still not working. Fails to create the bluetooth driver.
Sent an email to the dev to see where things stand.
Yea I wrote to the developer and got no reply yet that was 3 days ago

Still no reply here either.
Been trying myself, on my N6 and my N7(2013). So far, nothing. No response from the devel...
No luck here on my nexus, mailed the dev aswell. Hope there is a fix underway
Slightly off topic, but I just tried a Stock ROM (I usually use an AOSP rom) and I cant even get the controller to connect. It just continues to flash. Came from a fresh install and have root. Restored to my previous rom and it works again. Anyone got it working on latest 5.1.1 stock?

So, I bought my NC today and the I absolutely love it. As soon as I got it I rooted it and all. Everything was working fine until I noticed one issue, the multi touch is only registering two points. I even tried multi touch tester and only two points work at a time . Google searches don't bring up much so I have to ask is this a defected NC, is there some step I need to take to activate it, or do they all only have two point multitouch?
This and the lack of bluetooth would lead me to return it to get an archos 70.
Thanks in advance and merry christmas.
I haven't tried it yet, but maybe this is what you are looking for?

Thanks for the quick reply, I am dead tired right now(past 1 am est) so I'll have to try this when I wake up.

If I'm not mistaken, I think that's installed along with auto-nooter, and changes it from no multi-touch to 2-point multi-touch.
So we have confirmation that superoneclick and aroot doesn't work on the new atrix update. If any dev will work on this please use this thread.
EDIT: Please don't comment on this thread anymore. Go to Ririal's v2 root method
I just updated and it does seem smoother to me. Might just stick with it.
please everyone, this thread is for getting root on the update. if you want to comment on the update itself, use my thread on the general forum
Not cool... so they locked the damn phone down even more.

Maybe this is your first piece of electronics, but it's completely expected that everytime a software update for a piece of hardware is released, exploits are closed. Apple does it, Sony does it, Microsoft does, HTC does it, Motorola does it, Nokia does it...The list goes on.
This WAS EXPECTED. I always found it entertaining how whenever an update was released for my EVO the forum here on XDA would get absolutely flooded with people saying how they lost root NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES THEY WERE WARNED! It could take 5 minutes, 5 hours, 5 days, 5 weeks, 5 years, or eternity for root to be regained after an update. There's no way to know.
any way of installing 3rd party non-market apps, like amazon appstore?

Pretty sure that's why he made the thread - we're being patient, just looking for someone to work on this fix. I'm ashamed I even posted on this comment, but if you're not going going to help fix it, you shouldn't be either....
Hey everyone, if you want to sideload apps just use the ADB INSTALL method it works for me.
I still have my root after update
Hello,
I just ran the update, it shows in the system version as 4.1.57 yet I still have my superuser permissions and can tether without adding to my plan. Not sure how or why, but it happened.

I would be helping fix it if I had the update. I'm still waiting for the notification, but thanks The OP is just forum clutter, and it's pretty rude to be making these requests minutes after the update is even pushed, and a BETA update, at that. That was my point.
Where are you guys located, getting the update already. I just checked and it said mine is up to date and I still have 4.1.26. Wierd!
Does any one know how to get the message to stop showing up I don't want to loose root and I don't want to be reminded every hour

Did you flash back to stock before the update or did you do the update on a rooted/gingerblured phone? Do you know if you were using 1.2.6 or 1.5.2? Have you tried running su in a terminal to make sure root actually works?
Was worried bout flashing without stock software already installed think ill go back to stock anyway to try it the official way first.. Can always go back and upgrade after rooted though if this works consistently.
The security hole that allowed for root on the phone is CLOSED in this update. There is no way of rooting your phone after this, save going back to one of the available SBFs. Confirmed by designgears as well.
As someone said earlier, "for now" the root method is disabled, and there is no way of rooting your phone after the update "at this moment".
I have confidence everything will be OK.
Boy am I glad I decided to stay away from this "update." I got accepted but when I go to check for updates it says I need a social networking account setup. When I then hit setup nothing happens so I said forget it lol.
hi everyone i hope someone else has had this experience because i looked around the internet and dont see much. A friend of mine bought a touchpad a few months back and within a few days he
noticed it was clicking and moving on its own at random times. So he returned it and got another one and this one is doing the same
thing. Is this a hardware issue or something that can be fixed with a setting or something? Very hard to believe he has gotten 2 of them now and both are doing the same thing.
Impossible to even begin to help without knowing what ROM and kernel and such

My bad it was doing this with stock WebOS and I installed Android nightly from 6/14 on this 2nd one he got and it was doing the same thing. Not sure about other details as I dont have it with me at the moment. Friend thought by putting Android on it was the culprit but I havent seen anyone else having these issues putting it on.
I told him that if it was doing this in WebOS as well then it cant be. Anyway sorry about the details if you need something else specific I can get it from him and post.

You're right I haven't seen anything like it. But since it was doing it with stock webOS then have you checked in the webOS forums? Have the TouchPad been upgraded to 3.0.5?

Will have to check those forums thx. As far as i know it wasn't
upgraded also.

I would have to guess that if an upgrade to the latest webOS then he's unfortunately gotten hold of another TouchPad with the same apparent hardware issue
Sent from my cm_tenderloin using Tapatalk 2
yeah he seems to think they may have sent him back the same touchpad with the same issues. What a shame if that would be the case. Well other than checking for newer version it looks like he will have to send it back again and move on. Thanks for your help though
All of a sudden my gps does not work anymore. Anyone have this issue? Is there a fix ?

I had problems on 4.3 but haven't had any problems since I upgraded to kitkat. If you're still on 4.3 try flashing the fix in this thread
GPS toolbox apps might also help like GPS Status & Toolbox or GPS Fix...but I think those just speed up the GPS connection they don't really "fix" anything
Im on stock kit kat

This thread might be able to help...it's a little old but I think it covers everything that everyone has tried to fix GPS issues
Another possibility is it's a hardware problem which you might be able to fix yourself following instructions here
Past sending it in for repair I'm out of ideas maybe someone else can be more helpful here
I have heard the newest maps messed stuff up. Try uninstalling the update or find one apk and see if that fixes

If you got it through AT&T a warranty exchange should be pretty quick but your call! I don't think I'd last more than a couple of days without GPS
No I bought it out right
Waiting for the new note 4 to do a contract so get a discount on it
Well given that its going to release officially Nov 3rd are there any specific needs or shall i say requirements to get the room build or ported over to our devices.
I saw a couple things stating it would release about the same time with the G2 Lollipop update Q1 of 2015

I'm due for an upgrade on the jump plan and have been for several months. I really like the oneplus 1 and the g3 but I can't seem to give up a phone that has a damn near unbreakable screen and draws so much attention to its sexy curves to go to a phone that I'm sure to break the first drop it has. But I've made up my mind and I'm going to eventually go to the nexus 6 (with a two foot leash attached to my wrist so it can't make it to the ground)

haha yep. or you could just go with a ballistic case. when i was doing mechanic work with my g2 wrapped in one my phone would fall from 10-15 feet high,i would constantly roll over it with my body, it would fly outta my hands and the phone was still perfect. im debating to spend another 700 on a phone right after im paying 700 for my flex. its still in the air, but, i want a nexus 6 very badly.
yeah since the final set of code is released today and ppl can start building i wonder who is gonna come out with a working rom first on the flex . pluse i havent been able to root my flex since its update to kitkat sucks but waiting on something that will work fully on it

I have a issue then when I connect my phone to my computer it stays on PC software it won't let me change it to mtp or anything else im sure I have the proper drivers installed and I even factory flashed the phone back to stock
Install the software and it may let you change then. Also before connecting go to settings/PC connection/select USB connection method and select the method you want then back up one page to settings/PC connection and uncheck "ask upon connection" so it doesn't give you a prompt asking what to do.
