i got my x98 Air with Android 5.0 and windows 10 (from geekbuying) and have a problem within Windows 10 :
I tried to change the default language from chinese to english / german but have the problem that only programs are shown in english. all the settings and other part of windows are still shown in chinese letters.
What i could read with an camera-translator-app is that the windows 10 is a chinese version, and it seems that even if you install different languages you can not change the whole windows to english...
Already tried to reinstall the windows10 with the MS-Tool but it is still chinese only.
Is it perhaps possible to change it somewhere in BIOS (default language?) or is there a chance to get an european windows 10 on that ? is there anything that can be done with cmd commands ?
Try to find solution on youtube. You should search for "How to change language windows 10".
You should easly download the language pack.

Hi . Found out that windows 8.1 before was only single language and so win 10 was only chinese support. solved that by updating to pro (from home) edition and so language pack install was allowed. geekbuying sent me an mediafire rar pack after that to solve it. if anybody has interest pm me. seems to be something like a flash file.
Hi marekpipe I have the same problem with my teclast. I can't change the language from Chinese to Greek

i made this step:
settings>language>geografic area> and i select Italy in the first tab...then i clicked on ADD LANGUAGE and i selected ITALIAN LANGUAGE.
Then i select ADDITIONAL SETTINGS in the bottom of the same menu and then i saw Italian language (if not, click to ADD LANGUAGE and select your language). Click on OPTION on the left of you language and select YOUR LANGUAGE into all sub-menu.
At the end, go back TWO TIMES and click on "change geografic area" sub-menu. In the new window that will be open, go to OPTION ADMINISTRATOR>COPY SETTINGS and select the TWO SQUARE BOXES on the bottom...then click OK and reboot the system. sorry if the name of the menus are not the same as i wrote but i'm translating from italian language if you have problems, write me!
ps: someone make root to teclast x98 air 3g (c5j8 version)?? because i can make root with kingoroot/vroot/framaroot method..
Hi, thanks for your reply! I was not able to set the geographic area, because I didn.t know what my geographic area is in Chinese writing.....
I solved my problem by doing a complete reinstall of Windows 10. Now everything is fine!

how can i get full arabic support ( applications, browser, keyboard ) on G.O.T or CM rom ? anyone ?
edit: also i remember my stock rom was with no market app, is it possible to add it without flashing to another rom ?

1. Where did you buy your Milestone?
2. Go to settings-->about phone-->firmware
3. Paste here the version.
4. Based on your firmware you will choose a GOT 2.2.1 Firmware.
5. Yes, you will have the market on the GOT 2.2.1 or CM.
Let me know the firmware for further instructions!
Got froyo full support arabic .. I am sure coz I use it

i bought it from middle east, from retail store, unlocked but no idea why market is not there...

2.1-update1
The hardware keyboard have both English and Arabic letters ( which is my 2nd language )

with no arabic support?!!!
hey i also need arabic from time to time, with CM6 there is perfect arabic support related to reading, right to left reading connected font is working fine.
The only thing missing is the support for the hardware keyboard, the button that normally switches between languages now acts as a menu button instead. the only solution that i have for this atm is the use of a software keyboard
i am promise Arabic work perfect in applications , sms , web browsing , ..etc .. only physical keyboard work English only .. u need to download Arabic keyboard

This is a patch for HTC devices that turns the Spanish keyboard into an Hebrew one.
* Might brick your device, Use on your own risk.
* For HTC Devices only!
* Back up any data on your phone before applying this patch, To undo the operation you will need to HARD reset your device.
* This will replace the Spanish keyboard, enable it on Settings -> Keyboard.
* No marketplace, open the attached zip and side load the XAP file to a developer unlocked / chevron unlocked phone.
* This is only a keyboard layout, it does not fix the RTL problems on the phone.

hi! no problem with create arabic keyboard,all you need to do is to unpack this file
then unpack Hebrew_Keyboard.xap by adding zip to the end
Hebrew_Keyboard.xap.zip
edit RegistryPatch.xml
and replace hebrew char with arabics one
repack all and install !

i think the rtl support will be out with the next big push to the asian markets... they will add arabic support there... so... rtl will be there to....
we just need to survive till then ...

Unfortunately the package do not contain RegistryPatch.xml !
I have tried the other localization but it seems that only working on samsung.
I t didn't override anything. and your package do not contain key mapping.
I didn't find this file "RegistryPatch.xml" in the package.
would you please provide me with correct package?

Hi everyone. I don't know what's the reason but I can't download language package for google now.
My original purpose was to use utter offline but now it all fails.
I successfully updated the app but inside the setting there's no option for me to download languages.

I did root my phone (thank you @geohot ID:3AS25583W49419905) and I can not find the file to enable the languages android (need the Portuguese of Brazil); already tried editing the file /system/customize/CID/language.xml and /system/csc/language.xml but I do not think the file. I have also tried with the Enabler Language, More Locale2 and Language Enabler but nothing worked.
Can someone help me?
Lately I extracted the files /system/spidb/pt_BR and \system\VODB\pt_BR\ checked , files.txt , pt_BR.lang , pt_BR-ak-cur.lite.res , pt_BR-lk-text.lite.res version of SM-G900M (G900MUBU1ANE2_G900MZTO1ANE4_G900MUBU1ANE2_HOME.tar.md5) and put on my deviceSM-G900A (G900AUCU2AND3), edit the file \system\csc\contents.db adding the files but did not work. These were the only ones related to language files that I found in the root of android and did not work.

Flash a custom rom from another region is the only choice. G900A is specifically made for AT&T therefore it doesn't even have language.xml (or it will not read langauge.xml if you add it there) file for additional language.
Technically if language.xml is not present then android should display all languages available.

Hi guys, I just recieved an update to the EdgeLighting+ extension and it seems that the eclipse effect not working on my device specifically..
I tried to reinstall, delete cache and mess with edge lighting settings and i can't find the problem..all the other effects are working perfectly except this one.
If someone can figure out the problem please tell me.
