Google play music and apps issues after 6.0 update - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Updated my tmo to 6.0. Flashed twrp and rooted. google play store runs incredibly slow and Google play music constantly buffers. My data speed is fast over 40mb on lte. Any thoughts?

Give it a little while. Stuff like this is slow after an initial upgrade. Mine was the same for about 45 minutes and then cleared up.

[Q] Weird WiFi issue

Out of the blue, 4 days ago, my phone stopped allowing Facebook, Instagram, and some websites including Google and Yahoo to open (at least using Dolphin Browser).
I have Comcast and nothing changed on that end, my 2 computes work fine, roommate's phone, tablet, computer, and PS4 work fine still.... But just my phone won't load pages in those apps or websites. I figured something got screwy with my ROM (BadBoyz Kit Kat) so I just fresh flashed their latest Sense 6 ROM and finally got all my apps reinstalled, and it's still doing the same thing. When I shut wifi off and connect through Sprint's slow ass 3g, the apps and browser load fine.
Any ideas??

[Q] Play Store not working after OS update. (ME70CX)

My son has this tablet, and he asked me to put a new game on it yesterday. When I opened up the Play Store nothing would load. The Store acted like the tablet had no network connection, but I was able to use the browser and tried a different network as well.
I manually updated the Play store to v5.2
Tried rebooting
The only thing that is any different is that I just performed the firmware update to 4.4.2 (I think).
Has anyone else seen an issue like this? I really don't want to wipe and start over if I can help it.
After further playing around it seems that not all was ok with the OS update. The tablet turns itself off when sleeping for more than 5 minutes or so as well as the Play store issue.

[Q] Extremely slow speeds in Play Store on wifi

I've had this issue before so I don't think it's ROM specific, but I'm using aosip v3.3 and Franco kernel r42 and did a clean flash. What happens is in Google Play store my WiFi speeds are really slow, around 100kbps. LTE works fine and download speeds are as expected. My speed test results on wifi are always around 30mbps+ and no other applications are slow. So far I've tried clearing the cache and data. I also updated to the latest version 6.1.12 via GroovyAPKs but same issue. Any ideas on why the Play Store is slow on WiFi when the WiFi speed is good otherwise?
How are you measuring WiFi speed in the Play store? I have noticed that some Play store upgrades take an extremely long time on my 90+ Mbps home WiFi, but I attributed it to congestion on the store side.

On previous ROMs when something was downloading from the Play Store, when I expanded my status bar it would show the download speed in kbps, which was around 100kbps. On aosip it doesn't do this, but the way I can tell is by downloading a small application. Like LTE Discovery for example is a 3.78mb app. When I was on WiFi it was downloading really slow and only got to 20% after probably 15 - 20 seconds. When I canceled the download and restarted it on LTE the app downloaded almost instantly. And again, it's not the WiFi because speedtests are consistently high. Just annoying to have to toggle WiFi just to download from the Play Store.
Hmm, that makes me wonder if Google is throttling WiFi downloads from the Play store on purpose. Hopefully others will chime in with the same issue to confirm.
Well I just got home and updated a few apps on the play store thru WiFi... The problem went away on its own. 15mb downloaded completed in about 2 seconds rather than the normal slow speeds. Don't know what fixed it but it seems good now

Keep an eye on your updates and new downloads if you don't mind. All of my new installations download and install very fast. However, I have seen supposedly 40MB downloads go from downloading to installing in just a couple seconds, but the progress bar barely moves. I think those are only patching the app and not downloading the whole thing. Other updates of only a couple MBs seem to take forever because the whole app is being downloaded, and very slowly at that.

Conditional crashing of games like marvel contest of champions.

So, here I got my new Mi5 32GB. Was excited to play Marvel's Contest of champions(The only game I play !!). However when I tried to download and install the game, it just crashed while loading the game. Was connected on WiFI in home while playing the same. Now tried to play the game on mobile data, still same. However the weird thing here is, it loaded and worked just fine while I was on mobile data in my office. Thinking it was a coincidence, tried the same multiple days to same pattern.
I have tried disabling the battering restrictions and other from security manager, even have reseted the phone itself, still same issue.
Am running on MIUI 8. Please help guys.

Question Extremely Slow Google Play Store Downloads

Hi all,
The maximum speed I get when downloading apps via Google Play is 2.20MB/s (My connection is fibre, and downloads around 50MB/s without issues).
I've tried clearing cache and data from the Play Store app itself, but no joy. If I switch to cellular data, then 2.20MB/s is also what I get as a maximum.
A router reboot doesn't help, either.
Chrome etc, is not affected, so if I download something on my X90 Pro+, it'll download at normal speeds.
I have a Vivo Pad, and I get Google Play downloads at normal speeds, but oddly not the Play Store (I tested on my Xiaomi 12S Ultra, and it exhibits this issue as well).
Any ideas?
