Need help to fix Custom Binary Blocked by FRP - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I bought a new Note 4 yesterday from T-Mobile. I rooted it, flashed TWRP, loaded ViSXN910T3UVU1DOG1_v1 rom and all was well, untill I signed into the samsung account, and rebooted. The phone shows a yellow triangle with Custom Binary Blocked by FRP and refuses to boot.I cannot access recovery, I accidentally erased the stock backup, and when I go into download mode and try to flash with Odin, everything fails. Can someone please help? I tried taking it back to tmo but they want to give me a refurb. I dont want a refurb. From what Im reading I need the stock FW which was 5.1.1 and my model is N910T3 I am having a hell of a time finding it. Can anyone post a link to it or something else I need to do? Thanks in advance!

Quick question, Did you enabled the Activation Lock from Samsung?. If so then that is the reason why you are unable to load a custom rom. If this is the case just restore the phone to the original firmware through Odin and once up disable the Activation Lock before loading the custom rom again. Before all this also try to restore using KIES or see if you can get the firmware from sammobile as I am sure they should have it.

What version was my i9305 originally?

Hi Ive searched for ages but cant find an answer to this seemingly simple question.
I just purchased a i9305 which I'm trying to return to stock ROM. Problem is I've no idea what the original ROM was. The phone came with a modified rom and even though I can reset the flash counter and get it to say Samsung official ROM in ODIN, however it always says "sytem status:Modified."
Also in About>status it always says modifed-even with stock rom.
Cant get hold of the seller atm so I'm asking if theres a way to tell what the inherent stock rom of the phone is-not just the rom version I have installed now??
Thanks for your help, I hope i made myself somewhat clear.
Hey,
no way. I don't think there is a history.
Tell more about your phone, and maybe someone has the same and can tell you.
Btw. to get the modified status away, you have to install stock rom (kernel, boot, recovery and so on) and reset the flash counter. The device will check on every boot for custom things and set the counter to 1, if something were found.

You mean the phone doesn't really know what original factory version it was?
I installed a stock rom, reset the counter with triangle away and it even updated through Samsung kies after that. But still says modified.
Maybe I didn't install all the parts of stock rom? You said kernel etc so what exact elements do I have to make sure to install?
Thanks
Maybe. I know the csc will be stored, if it's a branded one. Thats all i know.
A complete stock rom contains system, hidden, recovery, data, modem. boot images.
So install with "mobile odin" (or odin from a pc) the recovery and boot image, restart, reset counter, restart. And check. If you install an original boot image, the kernel will also be stock.
Have you read other help threads? Some users have these issues also with stock roms, they had it from the beginning.
If you think, all is done and all went good without errors, you are maybe one of these users.
thanks.
By 'the recovery and boot image' do you mean PDA and bootloader options?
This is the current status info in 'About':
Model no: GT-i9305
Android version 4.1.2
Baseband version: i9305XXBLL5
KERNEL VERSION: 3.0.31-746327
[email protected] #1
SMP PREEMPT Wed Dec 26 etc...
2012
Build number: JZ054K.I9305XXBLL5
Then in Status:
Serial number: R31C914MNNK
Do I have stock kernel and recovery?
Thanks!

But isnt my warranty void if it still says 'SYSTEM STATUS: MODIFIED'??
Just wanted to let you know I sorted it.
I did the folowing, not sure which part or all bits helped.
Installed older stock kernel.
Installed old stock recovery.
In recovery mode did cache wipe AND full factory rest.
Then phone showed Status:Normal
and in ODIN showed No flash count and official and official!!!
Cheers. Great News.
Your warranty is void, if the status is modified.

TA still works if you use everything stock. And if you don't, then what's the point in resetting the counter? They'll deny warranty anyway

It won't reset the counter neither change the status with this new bootloaders.
But if I have my phone with everything stock why the hell will they deny the waranty, if the counter is 0 and the status is normal?
On 4.1.1 I had root on my phone and TA reseted the counter and put the status normal, and I needed to send it to warranty and they don't deny it, although I was with a custom rom...
I don't get what you are trying to tell me.
Same thing here

You are wrong. TA works perfectly with the latest bootloader, as long as you're absolutely stock. As in, stock unrooted ROM, stock recovery. And if you're not using stock, then you don't need TA because they will deny you warranty if you're on a custom ROM or not completely stock. That's what I meant

Softbrick help please

Hello,
I was on Baseband MF3 on Firmware 4.2.2 and rooted with Geohot's activeroot.apk, I wanted to upgrade to KitKat but I read I have to update to 4.3. I only renamed the Knoxfiles and the wcss updater odex and apk's and renamed them back to their original names. I fully unrooted the phone and did a factory restore. I tried downloading the 4.3 cfg file and putting it on the sd card and installing in recovery mode. I also tried flashing it wish Odin. Odin (3.07) always failed so I tried renaming the .cfg to update.zip it would fail the verification so I read deeper into the thread you can use ada and update it that way. I tried that and it failed both the 685MB file and the 721MB file. Then after browsing this section it said that since your phone has a locked bootloader a one click solution may help. I tried that it got a little further then it failed. So now I cannot get to emergency recovery and it says to connect to skies. I tried the 2.6 Kies and the 3.0 Kies. But on 4.2.2 its not recognized by Kies and I am at the emergency firmware screen. I can still access the Odin downloader though. I took it to Best Buy but their Samsung rep wen't home for the night, then I tried AT&T and they can't help. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Oh I also had safestrap installed but I removed it. However I did make a backup with Safestrap and it's on my ext SD card which has been removed from the phone.
Thanks
Hello,
I brought my phone to Best Buy to the Samsung Representative and because I could not get into Recovery Mode, and Download mode said Custom they would not help me. I went to the AT&T Authorized repair center and they had the tool that was described over the forum and they flashed and wiped the phone. I went back to Best Buy and the warranty is good now. Just thought this might be helpful to anyone having a similar experience trying to update from 4.2.2 to 4.3 after rooting, factory reset, dba, odin flashing, & oneclick.
Thanks
Just so everybody is aware, in order to get from 4.2.2 to 4.3, all you have to do is flash the ML2 Odin package regardless of if you're rooted or not. It will wipe your phone, but you shouldn't have any problems. If you've rooted or changed your system in any way, you will not be able to take the OTA no matter what.

(Q) I527 stuck in Download

(RESOLVED)
Alright so in order to not bore you all, ill get to the point. I messed up trying to do impossible things with my I537 because I didn't read any forums before trying... stupid I know. That being said I now have a "soft bricked" phone stuck in download mode. I have been looking around (I assume not hard enough) for the right file to flash with ODIN to get me back up and running so I can actually do my research this time before playing with different stock roms.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to get the right files to unbrick this thing?
First things first: this forum is for the SGH-I537 AT&T Galaxy S4 Active, not the I527 Galaxy Mega. I just want to make sure you have the right device. If you have the Mega (I527), you want this forum, and ignore the rest of this post.
If you do in fact have the Galaxy S4 Active (I537), then check out this thread, it has all the official firmware files that have been released for this device. I would recommend using the firmware files for NE3 (KitKat) to flash in Odin. The NE3 build is the easiest to root, and you can always use the keep-root method to upgrade to lollipop if you so desire.
Oh yes sorry that was a mistype. I did indeed mean to type I537. Ok Ill give this a shot and update on how it goes.
Ok so Im currently downloading the Full Odin package, but I have already rooted the phone with towelroot. Is that going to be an issue?
Nah it won't be a problem. Flashing firmware files with Odin will unroot your phone (it resets everything to original factory settings). You can always reroot with towel root again
Ok new problem though, I was able to get everything flashed through ODIN, it restarts; then I get the Samsung boot screen, att boot screen and then it just goes black. I put it back into download mode and tried to re-flash it a couple times but it keeps doing the same thing. Thoughts? This Is the section I got the file from;
I537UCUCNE3 (4.4.2) Released 2014-06-06 - OFFICIAL
Issue has been solved, I just had a battery issue but after changing that and letting the phone charge up it started up great. Thanks for all your help "thisisapoorusernamechoice"

A600U stock frmware help

not sure where to ask for this but, been looking for stock firmware or whatever i would need to flash in odin to get my phone back in working order. its a600u ive lost track of anything else to identify the phone so if anyone comes across this and can help id appreciate it. and i may need to create my own twrp for my phone in order to get it working again, if anyone could point me in the right direction there.
so for reference, can get to download mode cant get to twrp that i ran in odin which i downloaded from here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a6/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-2-0-galaxy-a6-t3819741
[EDIT] Was able to get twrp running, needed sprint variant not international, now just getting a bootable system.
[EDIT] so as of now, i have twrp installed, but no rom i install will boot. Im just hung at the galaxy a6 powered by android screen. do i just have a paperweight? cause im totally cool with that, just need answers.
So you don't have any ROM installed right now? You can download stock ROM for your phone from Sammobile. Then just flash it with odin. That should work.

The only way to fix that is by flashing stock filmware with Odin. Just make sure to download the same filmware or newer than what is on the phone as you can't flash older filmware and you would just get an error. You can use "Frija" for PC to download the filmware at a decent speed, just Google "Frija XDA"
Did you flash a rom and this happened? Or did you just flash TWRP and reboot?
The ' Only Official Released Binaries are allowed to be flashed ' error is due to bootloader not being fully unlocked.
As @stonedpsycho has said flash firmware to fix.
Is it related to RMM ? https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ll-twrp-on-exynos-samsung-after-2018.3747535/

I'll try the "Frija XDA" and see what I can get, because I got tired of keep downloading STOCK ROM at low speed and then stopped!!
and I got this message after flashing the ROM, I flashed it the first time and it was very good, but I wanted to remove some unwanted apps, then I flashed it again, OK! This time it works fine too and when it started and before making any setups (Google account, WIFI, etc) I restarted my phone to flash some additional Add-On's but I got this message and I'm stock here untill now.

Very strange that this happened after flashing a rom as the RMM state should be patched (This should only be an issue when wanting to root stock filmware and not flash a rom). Post the link to the Lightrom you are using and I will have a look on the thread as maybe you missed something or there may be others who encountered the same problem with someone offering a solution.

This is the LightRom I used, always I'm following the instructions and my work always goes the right, except this time, I may did something wrong.
And by the way, I have formatted Data before doing the 1st flash and the 2nd flash.

Flashed the Stock rom and it worked, thank you guys @LR7875 @spawnlives @stonedpsycho
The RMM and/or KG state has been around since oero. Flashing stock firmware will reactive this state. To modify your phone this state has to change.
So you will need
Oem unlocked in developers menu
In download mode
RMM - normal or dissapeared
KG - checking
Then you start to flash non samsung signed firmware. ie: twrp, root, custom roms etc.
Read the post quoted above for rmm state bypass
KG state there is no zip to bypass so it has to be in checking mode and will generally stay that way until flashing stock firmware again.
