I receive products to review from various sellers. In every case, I provide a totally unbiased review to benefit those interested in these products.
Here are my thoughts that make this case unique:
- Highly protective case without the bulk of other cases in this category
- Case material is not tacky - slips into your pocket easily
- Textured design makes it easy to hold on to
- The buttons are covered, the covers are at the right height and the tactile response is precise
Compared to the Spigen Hybrid, a similar case, the Poetic Affinity is made of sturdier material, which makes it superior, IMO. When pressing the power button with the Poetic case on the Note 5, the case does not bend inward, lifting the screen protector, which happens with the Spigen. In addition, when using a swiping gesture that goes off the side of the display, the Poetic does not move, but the Spigen flaps a bit, which has an annoying feel.
The case that I tested is clear, which shows off the back of my Black Sapphire Note 5 very nicely. I think the black version would look more integrated, and less like a "case" - but that's a matter of taste.
I was also given this case and your review are my exact thoughts... it's definitely far superior compare to other similar clear cases in this price range that I currently own, like Obliq, iBason, Ringke and Ulak.
What I like best of the cases is how tectile the buttons still feel and after few days I still don't have any scratches unlike the other cases I named.
With that said this is the extent of my review... As this is the third thread on this case I've read. Was it necessary for us to create new threads for each review?
I rather just keep them all in one thread

Agreed. Makes sense to keep reviews all in one thread going forward.
So, I invite any other reviewers of this case to add their thoughts here.
Just Came Today Feels Smooth and feels very Tough and has good grip will see how it goes in a few days, so far i'm liking it!

My thoughts on it -
Like the case... Only gripe is after using it for 3 days the dye from my jeans is stuck on the case.
Yeah the same thing here, I think the one with the black edges would work better for me since the clear corners are turning blue from my jeans.

So I was originally going to just get the screen protected, but since the guy was totally unprofessional at the local mall on the first attempt of the sale I contacted Ghost Armor and explained what had happened and they gave me 25% off so I splurged on the full armor.
My review:
The screen protector is very slick. Hardly any tackiness. I think there is a slight tint to the display, but nothing too drastic. I would say the orange peel is minimal for a durable protector. The two main things I look for on a screen protector specifically for a full touchscreen is the tackiness and smudging. This is very good on both. Slick swiping and smudges remove very easily.
Now many people are probably familiar with their brand of screen protectors, but many might not be too familiar with the carbon fiber body armor. I don't know if its a local thing as I live in Phoenix and Ghost Armor is located in Mesa, AZ, but I have yet to see it as an option on their website for the Nexus S. The main pitch the sales rep threw at me was that the matting would give me a little more texture for grip. There was a sample for looks, and it had a little texture to it. After being installed it is rather slick to the touch. Another thing I was worried about was the skin being applied with the Nexus S curves. After seeing the headache my mom had with Ghost Armor on her Palm Pre I was skeptical. I can say after a week of in the pocket the corners have held down very well. There is also a thin band that runs between the volume rocker/power button and the screen to give it a full complete look. It does look rather appealing in the end.
There is an added cost for the carbon fiber armor. I believe it is an additional $10. If you are looking for a more aesthetic appearance besides the normal clear armor and are willing to spend a few extra dollars, I think you will be satisfied. Other than the slick feel at first touch, but after being handled it does seem to settle once the phone is warmed by the hands.

Thought I would also post my Carbon Fiber keyboard too for fun.
I hope someone finds this useful as I didn't see anything for this product (especially pictures) in the forums when I was looking into it for my Nexus.

I pretty much had the exact same carbon fiber skin for my nexus s from zagg. At first, I thought it was awesome and all but after a while it loses its appearance. I was going for the carbon fiber texture that offers somewhat of a "grip" but over time it just feels like a smooth plastic.

I purchased this case for £6.95 form AMazon yesterday and it came today. I wanted a thin case that offers as much protection as it could, and I believe this is that case. THis case is listed as $35 on thier website, I just wanted to say I dont think that it is worth that much.
The case has a hard, plastic structure with a layer of Brushed Aluminum on the back. This gives it a cool touch and a very nice texture. All cutouts are very well aligned and I have had no issues with audio or pressing the volume or power buttons. The pogo pins are also exposed which is nice as this is the only case I know where they have allowed them to be open. Overall the case is very good very slim and offers quite a lot of protection.
THe negatives come in the way of the design though. The huge poetic logo on the back of the case (see images) may put some people off as well as the bottom and top silver plastic being exposed on the device. Also the case is not that grippy to hold. Meaning it is very slippy to hold and may fall out of your hand.
Great case at a great price.

Here's my video:
Great review man... does it provide any protection to the front? What I mean is if you put the nexus face down does the glass touch the surface at all?
Thanks for putting up the review. That has got to be one ugly case though. I want my branding to be mostly invisible. That one screams LOOK AT ME!!!!! :silly:
Just recently got my nexus and I've been looking for a new case. I just recently dropped my nexus on concrete and the top right corner the I guess bezel or the silver gray material came off. Am wonder ok by if this case would provide decent protection against such a fall

Lol Im not a fan of the branding, but the case feels really nice in the hand
Edit: Mini Review.
The case came this morning, the quality is just about the same as every other TPU Case I've owned, which is good.... isn't anything to scream about, just good lol. It came with a screen protector too which is always a nice extra.
It adds just what I wanted, a bit of protection from light scratches, I didn't want anything bulky like a pouch or those leather cases that are on sale on eBay, as having it locked up in one of those, would defeat one of the reasons I wanted it, the purpose of having it easily accessible to take quick snaps. If I wanted bulky, I would just stick with one of my full frame DSLR's.
It looks real nice when installed and does add a bit more friction when handling it so gives you a bit more grip.

The only problem I can see, is the fit isn't perfect, it's like the lip that goes around the screen needs to be a tad thicker.
That's not to say it's loose or anything, it's firmly in place and not going anywhere. But to a degree, to think these things, this cheap, are going to be without some caveats, would be a foolish thing to assume.

I've just found these on eBay, not sure they've been available, but I've been checking every couple of days and they weren't available the last time I looked.
Just ordered a Blue one, will let everyone know what it's like when it arrives, unless someone gets a review in before me.
Comes with a screen protector too, which is a nice addition.

Sv: Multi Colour TPU Case for the GC
Thanks for sharing! Was reluctant to buy any case earlier as I want to have fast access to the camera. When bringing a case/pouch, I could as well bring my Canon 5D.
Those gels could change that...

Sv: [MINI REVIEW] Multi Colour TPU Case for the GC
Thanks for the short review. Perhaps it's too early to ask, but in my experience some TPU cases are really prone to attract dust.
Any thoughts on that, regarding those particular cases?

I know what you mean, but this is made of different TPU material and doesn't attract any dust at all. I.E. It's not made of the sticky (for lack of a better word) TPU stuff.

The Orzly FlexiCase for the OnePlus 3 has a simple design and covers the whole phone so it offers good protection against scratches and bumps on your device. As it is very slim and lightweight, it may not offer the best protection against drops from high levels, but it also means it isn't heavy to hold and it is hard to tell a difference in weight between the case being on and off. Even though it is very thin, it is still is flush with the camera bump of then phone so you don't have to worry about that

The transparent design of the case is simple but allows you to show of the aluminium/soft gold of the phone which is great if you don't want it to be hidden. Also, if you are also using a skin from Slickwraps/dbrand you can show that of too and still have good protection with this case.
[I will add pictures with slickwraps skin on later]
All of the cutouts are in the right place so you can charge the phone and/or plug in headphones without having to remove the case.
Also the LED and microphone at the back of the OnePlus 3 isn't covered which is good. Although the volume buttons and the power button is also covered with plastic, the buttons are still all very tactile and aren't difficult to press. There is also a cutout for the alert slider, which is very easy to access and change profiles (Silent/Priority/All).
Furthermore, as the case is flexible, it makes installing and removing the case a breeze, and due to its flexibility it fits with the tempered glass screen protector from Orzly perfectly for me.
To conclude, this case is great for anyone looking for a cheap case looking for good protection on their OnePlus 3 without having to hide its great design.
Yet again another biased review. I agree, case is great. The TGSP isn't. It doesn't work with the case at all.

Hello all, I just wanted to post up some opinions of cases I purchased from Amazon. I was looking for a thin light case that didn't take away from the design and added hardly any bulk.
First up is the Myriann 2 tone case
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0752H4YBN/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This case looked great on the website and I love the two tone colour look. I actually wish this is how the note 8 looked with silver border with the black front and back glass.
The case feels durable and a little on the thick side which is a shame. If it was a few mm thinner they would have had a winner in my opinion. I also really liked the carbon fire look back.

Second is this clear/bumper style case from KKTick.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07591K36V/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This case also looks really nice and is a little thinner than the one above, however it's still a bit thicker then I liked and the clear back was a bit of a figure print magnet. Worse than the glass back of the naked phone.
Third we have this rubber thin case from Nillkin.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B074WPDMG6/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I really liked this case and as soon as I put it on my Note 8 I thought we had a winner. The case is thin, sleek and doesn't feel cheap because it's a solid rubber coating. The only issue with this case is it's not very grippy on the side. So much so that if you hold it by the side alone the case slides down your hand. Such a same because I love the look of it.
Finally we have this stealthy matte black silicone case from vitutech.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07529VKHZ/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This case is what I'm rocking right now. The case is super thin, has a decent amount of grip and looks as if it's not even on the phone. I can't really fault it except it could have been a little blacker in colour. But I'm just nit picking. This case was also the cheapest.
Hopefully you guys have enjoyed the photos and this gives you a better look at some of these cases. I have a few more on the way so I'll update this post when I continue to receive cases.
The 2nd one looks nice
they are good!
I want to get a thin case like that, but one drop and it's goodbye
