Yes you can change the status bar icons, easiest way is to use rom toolbox, or you can use so something like ninjamorph, or get down and dirty and use apk tool to decompile and change them manually.
And the Google search is a feature for adw launcher, you can remove it in the settings

you mean the quick toggles. Yes you can, but it has to be done the hard way, by decompiling the apk, i'm not even sure if it's systemUI.apk or framework-res.apk. Ask in the official thread and maybe the OP can tell you

that's weird. currently i have 49% at 20 hours with 2+ hours of screen on time and wifi on all that time(connected to a network the whole time, no scanning)
While that's really good, i have been at home most of that time and not using it too much. But i normally use about 2 hours screen, 2-6 hours of music and it is just about dying at bedtime, so i get 12 hours normally. What's top of your battery stats? did you wipe data and cache when installing and have you done a full drain and recharge since flashing

Firstly I would thanks you for your great job. Anyway i have two issues regarding your ROM :
- Could you please indicate how I can disable the backgound data? It seems that they are still to run (in bleu), and then, use some battery ?
- It could possible to let the old task manager from motorola for a next release or following a patch?
Thanks in advance for your support and your understanding for a new user

I can answer this one. When you pull down the notification bar, there are a set of toggle controls at the top. If you swipe the controls from right to left, the toggle that is second from the right (two arrows that are parallel, one pointing up, one pointing down) is a data toggle. Tap that once to turn data off.

Do you have another advice? This issue happened only for me?

On a blank area of a homescreen that is 4 columns wide add the widget "power control widget". The fourth widget - a circle that contains two arrows pointing at each other's tails - is the data synchronization toggle. This will keep data on but stop accounts from syncing in the background.

Thanks again for your help. In fact I have already tried tu put on and off this toggle bouton without result.
My problem here, that is the background data are still working. To explain my issue, the wireless/3G items and signal are colored in blue in notification bar, that is mean the background data is on, so, use much battery.
This option could been put on and off following this manipulation Menu > Settings > Battery data manager > Delivery > Background data.
Then, how can I disable the background data as this settings had been deleted in the ROM?
Hopping been more clear.

Not all icon sets have coloured and uncoloured icons. The 3g icons I use are always blue. Can someone confirm that the icons used in this rom support this?

Another comment : as instance, when you go to the play store application, you haven't to put on the background data...you come automaticly into the market, indicating the background data work without limitation.

I thought I read somewhere that the 4.3 OTA was supposed to enable turning off the Power Saver notification (a complete waste of screen space) but that doesn't seem to be the case? Or am I missing something?

They moved it to the quick toggles.
You can turn Power Saver on and off in the Quick Toggles, but can't control the notification in the pull down. I want Power Saver on, but without the notification. If you go to "Power" under All Apps, there is a notification check box but it is grayed out.

He's trying to say that he does in fact want power saver to be on (which is just a press of the toggle), but while power saver is turned on, a notification appears in the status bar just like it used to. He doesn't want this notification.
Install this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jmzsoft.powersaverdisabler&hl=en
remove the icon from the notification bar with it, then uninstall the app, powersaver still runs but it wont show in the bar anymore
done
You can also do it yourself straight from terminal emulator
Code:
su
pm disable com.htc.htcpowermanager/.powersaver.PowerSaverNotificationReceiver

Yes you would need root, it would be a simple matter of rooting, running the app/command to remove the icon then unrooting however it just depends on how much effort you want to go through vs how much you hate that icon
personally I didn't mind the icon and learned to ignore it with 4.1.2 but now with 4.3 I decided to remove it. I'm not sure why they force it on us in the notification bar when its not really a "notification"

I actually hate that icon a lot! Almost as much as the big menu bar at the bottom of the screen, which thankfully is now gone. Rooting, removing and then unrooting is not a bad idea - I've rooted several devices, its not something I enjoy doing, but I can do it. I can't stay rooted thanks primarily to Time Warner Cable and their TWC TV app, that won't run with root without additional convoluted effort that doesn't always work.
My other alternative is to force close the notification manually ... given how infrequently I need to reboot the phone, I wouldn't have to do this all that often.
Just wanted to know if there is any mod for the notification bar to put quick toggles the way that Sammy phones have it. I hate having to click something to get to the toggles.

What do you mean by "click something to get to the toggles?" Just swipe the notification shade down with two fingers to show the toggles. Tap a toggle to go into its settings or tap and hold to toggle the function.

There is. It's called "Power Toggles" You can add many toggles (including flashlight) right below the date in the notification drawer. You don't even have to be rooted for this.

Have you Checked out Xposed Framework and Gravitybox?
It allows you to turn your quicksettings into toggles. The main reason why I used gravitybox was the torch & wifi AP toggle plus it was just update so you can rearrange the order.
This option might be better if you want to keep android looking stock. Also Xposed framework brings in all kinds of options you'd expect with custom roms.
I'm hoping we get these kind of toggles on the Moto X. This is my Gnex. I don't know why moto didn't add the option to add more toggles like the SIV and G2.

I really like Notification Toggles in Play. If rooted you can install as a system app and get true 1-touch state switching.

This. With gravity box..you just long press the tile and it toggles....no need to go into settings like when you just press the tiles quick.
Most...that I've tried anyway...apps that give you toggles on the notification screen, like Samsung, give you an icon in the status bar on the top left. And you can't get rid of it. Personally I can't stand that. Lol

If you pull down notifications - quick settings, youl see a gear icon in top right corner. Press it and hold untill it starts to spin and that should unlock the UI Tuner - once it's unlocked you'll find it at the very bottom of settings menu. Go there and enable embedded battery percentage
Thanks. I'm already using embedded battery percentage enabled using system ui tuner. I'm expecting percentage no. Between network symbol and battery symbol as in Samsung TouchWiz. That means a separate no. Not the embedded one. I'm fine with top left in notification bar also.

there are some apps that show battery percentage when they run, like Power Toggles or GSAM Battery monitor. Cool Tool is also good and usefull, but it shows battery and other stuff using overlay, so you can move it all around the screen. And if you're rooted then GravityBox is the best option I know (requires Xposed)

Is there an app that shows ONLY percentage of battery without any other notification elswhere? (no lock screen bar etc)
What's wrong with the standard battery percentage inside of the battery icon (like on every other android phone)? You can't enable it through settings (thanks Motorola...) but you can download an app called battery percent enabler to enable it. After it's enabled you can uninstall the app and it will stick.

Pull down the notification bar to where you see the Quick Settings. Long press the settings (gear) icon until it spins, then let go. Now you can access the System UI tuner which lets you add the battery percent in the icon without downloading that app. Only works on Marshmallow.
Xposed & Gravity Box has this, if you're rooted. I prefer this look myself.
Try "Akku-Prozentanzeige" from "Kroegerama". I cant post links so you have to search yourself

I created this app as test code that I plan to integrate with my primary system info app (Sys-I) in the future. Not sure if it is what you are looking for exactly, but it's small and light.
Not a lot of features, it was just a test, but it functions.

GSAM Pro (paid version) and a theme can do this... Nice big numbers and with some tweaking you overlay the stock icon to cover it with big numbers.
