Hey everyone just wondering if there's a way to invert my ambient display for black themes. I know this is a common issue and I am on LightRom 6.0
I have done a number of searches with no result and I have only seen this option on a couple heavily modded Lolli Roms.
Cheers.

you can always use layers. i use outerspace or puch black. it makes my norufication options black with white writing.

I am using Layers I am using blackstock Theme my issue is my ambient display displays black with only app icon visible, I know this is not the themeres fault as it has been an issue since day 1 but I have only seen a fix for this on heavily modded roms.
I'm enjoying the clean M with layers enabled just would enjoy more if I was able to invert my ambient display.
Thanks for the suggestion except the layers themes you have suggested are not Marshmallow friendly.

To get a dark layers theme to show white text on ambient display needs 2 commits...1 in the theme (which we all added some time ago) and 1 in the rom.
The commits in the rom I've only seen in AOSP roms.. I'm not sure, but i doubt you could add it to a stock rom.
Could someone inform me of what commit is needed to be added to the ROM. Or where i can find such information.
I would like to suggest it be added to a ROM, and provide such information.
Thank you

Hi guys,
I am starting to work on xposed modules and have successfuly created and tested one. I am planning to create a good module for many basic settings. I just want some suggesstions from people to get started with. What i am planning to do is to make a separate module for each task, so that there isnt something like Gravity box which is too comlex. Some options are like below:
1. Navbar size changer
2. Status bar meizu mod for .266 stock rooted
3. battery icon theme
4. various system parameters toggles (all rotations including 180, unplugscreenon disable, camera sounds, mobile data warning)
etc etc
If anyone has a minor module request, i can make it on demand as well. (for example one to enable lockscreen rotation etc)
Below is my first test module, It makes STOCK XPERIA 4.3 Settings DUAL PANE.
Also works on all other stock based Xperia ROMS.

Illumination bar xposed
Can you create a module that changes the illumination bar color on every app and keep it on? Example: If I open whatsapp the illumination bar turns green and if i go to twitter the illumination bar turns blue... same as tinted status bar but with the led bar. Dont need automatic colorizing, i want to manage color settings for every app in a list. Sorry for my english please!
pie control.. not like gravity.. pacman pie that has notification when swipe up..
Why did you post that on Q&A, Help forum?
It would better fit on the "General" forum..
Please request mods to move it ^_^

I can do the pie controls of gravity box easily as its source is open. Maybe PAC source is open too, but will be great if you can point me towards the java file which handles PACman pie. Then i can try.

I was successful in implementing basic settings. Now I'm working on above as well as some other layout modifications. Hang tight.

tested your "tutorial.apk" ! I mistakenly thought it was dual "page" in quicksetting (as in gravity box) lol
Great innovation.:good:
Actually the dual pane thing is very basic tweak... it could be useful if i change the dpi and layout.
anyways, my main aim is to make separate modules for
1. meizu mod status bar
2. various dpi navbars
3. various icons navbars
4. navbar/pie controls combo.
Hide handlebar and adjust transparency
1.For hiding handlebar and adjusting transparency of notification bar like in the attachement
2.Full screen caller photo
3. Changing theme accent color overriding the accent color of theme applied
4. Meizu Statusbar as you said but for .201 FW (Latest)
I got my system working back today and created one small one for myself. Anyone is welcome to use it if they want.
Module function:
1. Force Screen to remain off while plugging the charger in and out. (i was frustrated due to the constant screen on)
2. Allows all rotations in 3rd party apps. (Quickpic, UltimateReader, FX manager and many others). However the Xperia Home does not rotate.
3. Forces Navbar hieght to stock 48 dpi. (i was using another SystemUI meizu mod which made it 36 dpi so i wanted a toggle for that).
I will work on more modules for small little changes as requested here. Next target is Meizu Mod Module and then PIE controls/Expanded Desktop module.
What exactly does your dual pane module do?

lol. it takes a few seconds to try.
Have you used PAC ROM? it makes the setings page dual pane.... Not much useful though.
See below, its similar to this.:

I need tester for my MEIZU mod xposed module.
See attachment.
Just go in xposed>modules>tick my Module, install/update framework...
you have Meizu Statusbar.
It only works for Xperia 4.3 ROMS. (.201 tested. 266 not tested but it should work.)
EDIT: Apparently there are some bugs still present....

Whoa cool share. Using this on Mahdi ROM, as I posted in that thread the only thing missing is showing the notifications bar and the custom effects of Gradient / etc that we have for our one plus.

Didn't try it. I noticed a annoying bug where if I have my IME (keyboard) pulled out and turn the screen on. The lock screen would show the keyboard and would have a hard time hiding the keyboard again

Thanks. Man it just drives me crazy that certain ROMs are capable of running the lockscreen and others are not. I really love the cm11s lock screen. But I also like ROMs like Mahdi and Vanir. I'm running Vanir and its pretty smooth and awesome, but haven't seen much difference between this and crDroid. I'm alsobwaitong for the CrDroid ROM to fix some stuff before I flash again.
This theme is for use with ROMs that expose the RRO (layers) code. If you don't know what that means, this theme probably isn't for you.

Hi,
No. Its for ROMs that have RRO / layers. This means the ROM must have the RRO commits added at source-code level, then use the "layers" application to apply.

I see. So I guess this won't be available when using CM12 nightlies and it's theming engine?
Sorry, but I haven't no idea what PRO / layers are. I will look it up in the morning

Ah, no. Layers is kind of the alternative to cm theme engine. Some of RRO was already in AOSP but not being utilised much. Work has been done to expose and improve that and it gives us layers. Unfortunately though, it cannot work in co junction with CMTE.

I'll be updating the themes at some point but I'm very busy at the moment due to a promotion at work. I hadn't really considered a launcher theme because really the only launcher I could do would be Google and that wouldn't be useful for most people. What launcher did you mean?

Hello.
I have a rooted Nexus 6p and I installed today Subtratum Theme Engine with the theme of Deity.
Because I do not like (dark text, sometimes illegible on dark background), I uninstalled it. It unfortunately remains the dark background in all applications (settings, wattsapp, contacts, messages, etc ...).
How can I restore the original settings?
Thank you.

You will get way way way way more help in the Substratum thread where the devs and many themers hang out.
This thread was asking for Substratum compatible ROMs
edit - you need the TBO theme compatible apps to solve the white on white issue with GMail and other Google apps that have hardcoded colors..

There is a fix to this. Go to accessibility settings and turn on high contrast text. Everything would be read able. I reverted to stock ui because the text looked awful, readable but awful.

Seems even many of the Samsung themes in the theme store do not fully support Pie. After finding a dark theme that I liked and that actually worked on Pie, I ended up just switching to the default theme and turning on night mode (you can't use night mode if you're using a theme). I did this because some elements were not impacted by the theme like they used to be in the past (the default email client specifically in my case).

No, it only darkens some aspects of the UI for settings, notifications, and some of the stock apps such as the dialer, stock email app, etc. Even the content in those apps (for example a photo in the body of the email) are unaffected.

Just got it today. Adaptive Battery is a good thing. Changing time from right to left is a stupid thing.
Recent Apps is now similar to iPhone - swipe away. Not as efficient as the old way where all the open apps were stacked, you could see them all at once, and you could quickly hit the X on each app you wanted to close.
Do they actually do any usability testing when they change things like this? Sheesh!
