C6603 downgrading failed - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi y'all!
I have an issue with my Xperia Z concerning downgrading from Lollipop to KitKat...
Awhile ago I was using the Flashtool to upgrade to Lollipop, but something obviously went wrong since there was a significant amount of battery drainage, then not being able to use properly SuperSU for blocking some of the system apps and etc. Basically I was impatient to wait for the official update and went ahead of myself thinking I am a Android guru by doing something that looked pretty straightforward... My bad...
Anyways, now I simply cannot do a downgrade with various ftf's and I'm all out of ideas how to turn back to the previous Android version... Anybody have a clue how to overcome this problem?
Oh yeah, here's the log file if it makes a difference:

Cheers and beers in advance!

What version of Flashtool your using? If you using latest, go to Flashtool thread to see what version you need. It 8.6 or 6.8 something. You need to downgrade Flashtool.
Good Luck.
Sent from my D2303

I'm on the latest (0.9.19.10) version... I'll try downgrading the Flashtool and I'll write what happened!
Cheers!

A little update...
I succeeded in flashing my phone to a earlier Android version, but the problem now is that I cannot start my phone... By pressing the restart button it keeps trying to start up with the welcome screen going on&off, like in a loop...
So now, I can't use my phone, I can't start it and I don't know what firmware I'm on now in the end...
Any advice?
P.S. - Problem solved with installing 5.1.1 CE1 ftf, so I'll see if it goes well maybe I'm not gonna donwgrade to KitKat... Thanks anyways

[Solved][Request] Looking for Orange Poland stock firmware Xperia T

Hello,
I bought Xperia T from an eshop, yesterday it arrived. It was SIM locked to Orange Poland firmware. Since I didn't want to wait for returning the phone to shop and back, I tried to flash the new generic firmware to fix this problem. It didn't work, but in the end that's not the biggest issue I have. Only after I flashed the new firmware, I checked for locked bootloader. It's locked, so that's reason for me to return this device . I can do that no problem within 2 weeks (according to EU law), but device needs to be in original state.
I backed up the original firmware before flashing a new one, but flash tool does not work with my backup, so I cannot restore the original firmware. Does anyone know where I could find Xperia T LT30p_7.0.A.3.195_Orange Poland firmware? I tried searching, but no success...
Thanks for any help!

Solved, my backup (created as described in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32978279&postcount=2) worked finally, when I started flashtool, proceeded to flash firmware backup and only connected phone when it asked. Weird, but it solved my problem

[Need help] Extreme Xperia SP brick with start loop

Hi guys!! This is the worst brick I've had.
I can't use the flashmode more than ~10 seconds cause it randomly disconnects
I CAN use the 3 recoveries already installed TWRP, PhilZ and CWM
I tried with Linux and diferent Windows drivers
I'm runing the flashtool 0.9.19.0 version
I have this rom installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...anogenmod-11-locked-bootloader-users-t2868398 by MrSteve555
EDIT: I though it might be usseful to say it boots into de system to loop when it disconnects from flashboot mode
I'd like to reinstall the base ROM 4.3 Movistar/Spain I got the "ftf" file.
try changing your usb cable

I actually faced problems in 2 different versions that were released after v0.9.18.5.
Uninstall the current one, then give v0.9.18.5 a try.

Can you quickly flash the "loader.sin" of your ftf file? The process should be quick <10 secs. Then try to again connect the device in flashmode

Okay so you said you can still access recovery, right? This going to be a long work, but you can actually create your own stock ROM zip. Since you already have the ftf, you can try following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/development/flashtool-flashing-stock-roms-pc-t2825808
This is not a solution to the problem you faced, but rather a solution to your first intent
Let's then see if Flashtool can properly flash things after you followed the guide above.
I had simalor problem..... The latest Emma (new name foor flashtool) downloaded from Sony was able to connect normal (flashmode) with phone. So I could flash the recommended stock ROM. And start all over again.

Well, I guess... I wasnt aware that it in the past was not possible.
I screw up my phone and needed tot flash ftf. But could not succeed while flashmode could not last for 10 sec. And fastboot modus wouldnt work. So I searched for latest drivers and flashtool. Thats when i found that Emma could hold connection and flash the firmware from Sony.
Afterwards disconnect phone from PC and i was back in business again.
(Towelroot, rashr for twrp and happy flashing!)

help please!

I installed a rom kitkat on my xperia sp, he's with bootloader locked, (LBL), I would like to know the step-by-step procedure to re-stock ROM, or if there is any way to unlock the bootloader on this version to install the UBL lollipop if possible also the pass-by-step?
They write in a simple way because I speak Portuguese-BR, and I do not quite understand.
I used the google translator excuses!

[HELP ASAP] Possibly soft-bricked phone, and flashmode won't work.

Hi there.
I'm using a Sony Xperia SP C5306. After attempting to install XperianZe OTA V3.0.5 (and Gapps), I find my phone stuck on the Sony Logo. It doesn't move. So, I do the sensible thing; I download a stock FTF (C5303_12.1.A.1.207_AU.ftf) and Flashtool, and attempt to install the stock ROM. But here's my problem; I can't get it to stay in Flashmode.
When plugging in my cable, I hold the VOL down button and the light goes green. Great! So the Flashtool starts flashing the FTF and my phone's green light goes out immediately. But it keeps flashing for a moment. And then the tool tells me suddenly that the phone has been disconnected. The phone goes to charge and sticks at the Sony logo again. This happens every single time.
TL;DR - My phone goes from flashmode straight to USB charge and I can't flash it to fix my softbrick.
If it's any help, my phone has a Locked Bootloader, and cannot be unlocked.
Update: The phone now stays on the Sony logo for about a minute or two and then completely shuts off automatically.
Update 2: The phone, while connected via USB flips between USB mode and Flash mode.
Bump! Really need to fix this ASAP.
Turns out I flashed the wrong ROM. I flashed the v3.0.5 update before I flashed the actual ROM, and now I'm ****ed. Does anybody know of a way to fix this??? Please, I really need to fix this before I get in trouble.
You might want to try using another USB cable first. Common problems like these are because of the USB cable of the stock one that we have

Nope. Whilst trying a new cable, it does the same thing; I start the flash, wait for it to ask me to connect my phone, and then I do. I start it up in flash mode, and when it's detected, the green light turns off immediately, and the flashing process very quickly stops. My phone restarts and goes to the Sony logo, with a red light to show it's charging. After a minute, it will go back to Flashmode. And after a minute of flashmode, it goes back to charging at the Sony logo.
Here's the log from one of my latest attempts to flash my device.

Bump!!!
Bump again. I really need this fixed. C'mon guys, please???
Also I feel like I'm kind of looking annoying at this point but hey.
Bumping stuff won't help you nor anyone. If no one have the idea on how to solve your issue, how can they post something useful in this very thread?
Since your problem is very common, I strongly suggest digging into the threads that is very similar to yours, and hopefully you will find something that would actually solve your problem.
My final advise; try to connect the device only on flashmode without doing any single thing. Inspect if the device could stay on flashmode for an extended period of time.
To do this, just connect the phone to flashmode, without even opening the flashtool. If the device is able to stay on flashmode on an extended period of time, try to proceed with flashing the stock ROM..
If the issue suddenly comes back, then redo the same thing, but now with official Sony's Xperia Companion (formerly PC companion) and flash the stock ROM using that tool instead.
Uh oh, try to put your device on a flat static surface and avoid touching the USB cable at all costs to avoid interruptions
Have a good day

Alright, everyone; this is what saved my life.
Xperia Companion managed to repair my phone in just a few minutes even though I couldn't do it myself. For some reason, it managed to make it stay on Flashmode for as long as it was needed. If anyone is having the same problem as I was, I can't stress this enough; use. Xperia. Companion.
I was annoying, but thank you so much, TechnoSparks. I really appreciate the link to that program. I don't know why I didn't find it before, though.

Good to know that it finally solved your issue, and you're welcome!
Since it worked for you, now it seems a lot more clear to me that it is your ftf to blame. In other words, it could be that your ftf is corrupted or invalid in some sense.. I would suggest for you in the future to download firmwares by using the Xperifirm, bundled along with the Flashtool. You can open such thing by hitting the XF button on the Flashtool's main toolbar. The great thing with this is that the ftf is automatically unpacked and ready to be flashed by flashtool without you having to do additional steps like moving the ftf files and such.
I personally like to use Flashtool over Xperia companion, but that is the choice for anyone themselves
You might not find Xperia companion before because of its name.. Its name was revised twice as of now, first being Sony Updater Software (SUS), then PC Companion (PCC) and now Xperia Companion (XC?). During the era of which the XSP is released, the name of such tool was PC Companion. I wasn't aware when did Sony renamed it to Xperia Companion though..
Have fun with your newly revived device!

Actually, the ROM I was trying to flash was indeed downloaded through Xperifirm. I downloaded the Telcel ROM, seeing as how that's my provider.

Thanks! I am. I decided to try again with a different, very similar ROM; Z3EXperienceSP. http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/development/rom-z3-experiencesp-t3122830 . It worked alright, but for some reason the GPS was very messed up. It wouldn't move most of the time, requiring me to constantly turn it off and back on in order to do what I installed the ROM for (play Pokémon GO). So instead, I decided to go with as standard of an LBL ROM I could find; something so beautifully normal that for sure, it shouldn't have any problems, right? Standard Cyanogenmod 12. http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/development/xperiasp-locked-bootloader-lbl-t2947194 .
Turns out for some reason CM12 doesn't detect my SIM card. But eh, I'll just find another ROM I can install. For now, I'm reverting back to 4.3 and taking my phone to a help center for my provider, to see if maybe they can remove the SIM lock. If they can, I'll remove the Bootloader Lock and say "**** it", before just installing whatever ROM I fancy at the moment. Probably gonna dual-boot it if I can, with stock ROM.
