Claro PR Android 5.1 - X 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok so the official Android 5.1 update is up for the Motorola Moto X 2014 here in Puerto Rico, it seems Moto won't stop support for it's devices even tho Claro or America Movil won't be selling more Moto Devices any time soon, sadly I don't have the update myself cause I installed the Retail Brazil version thinking Motorola wasn't going to release an update for, but if anyone can find the rom and share a link I would gladly appreciated. Thanks

How to find out if my Moto X is a Retail version?

So, recently Motorola rolled out 4.4 KitKat update to Brazilian Retail Moto X versions and I'm trying to find out if mine is a Retail version or not. How can I do so?

lollipop xt1069?

Lolilpop on moto g version 1069???
Your topic is a little wierd, but i get the question.
I own a XT1069 version as well, but all you can see in XDA are updates for all the other models, except for the XT1069
I´m from Brasil. It will take a little bit more time so that the carriers from here (which are mostly garbage) to release an OTA for locked devices.
I´ve been waiting for a zipped OTA to download on these forums,. but so far no topics for the XT1069, only for 1064 and 1068.
No, 1068 doesnt have also, only 1063 and 1064.
1068 is the dual sim sold in Europe, no 5.0 yet also.
I'm on the same situation :/ poor brazilians :crying:
Well, actually thats what XDA is here for.
Thankfully my Moto G is unlocked, so as soon as the OTA hits the forums, i´ll just download and install it.
The XT1069 model is the one with 16gb + Dual SIM + Digital TV, just for the record.
Devlopers working in version 1069 ????
No, dude. Not yet. Calm down. and be patient.
WAIT FOR MOTOROLA RELEASE THE OTA FOR YOUR VARIANT.
You could lose your TV function if you flash something different, or some rom for another country variant (due the TV frequencies).
Wait...The rollout will start anytime soon.

(Q) Solved

Hi everyone i have a situation with my moto x, a few months ago i updated the X with the retail 4.4.4 of verizon (i was on t-mobile 4.4.3) after i updated my moto x model change from XT1053 to XT1060 (i saw that when i used antutu) , now i wanna install the 4.4.4 retail from T-mobile but i don't know if there will be a problem because of that.
So can anyone tell me if i can brick or kill my phone by doing that? it'll be with the same android version but with different carrier. I'm on a unlocked moto x from nextel but my carrier is telcel Mexico
By the way this is the retail i donwload XT1053_TMO_RETAIL-US_4.4.4_KXA21.12-L1.29.1_2_cid9_CFC_1FF.xml.zip
Thanks in advance, hope someone can help me :fingers-crossed:
Edit : Solved :silly:

[Q] has anyone captured the 5.1 lollipop ROM which was released in Brazil recently?

With the lollipop update taking time, I'm growing restless and I'm sure a lot of us are! just wanted to know if someone has captured the ROM for the OTA update lollipop 5.1 recently released in Brazil for the 2013 Moto X. also, is it fine to flash it on a Moto X 2013 from another country (I'm from India) if I could get my hands on it?

Can I add Moto Voice and other stock Moto features to Android One version?

Hi all, TIA for any advice. Just got my wife a Moto x4 Android one edition through Google's Fi deal. She had an OG Moto X and really liked the Moto Voice feature (reading texts out loud while driving).
I saw that this is only available for the retail version.
Is there any way of getting it onto the Android one edition?
Or flashing the stock retail rom on the android one edition without bricking the phone?
I wonder if the apk can be taken from that firmware
You can switch between project fi or retail. I have the retail and successfully flashed project fi. Unlock the bootloader and grab the retail firmware and flash. Someone had a Android one and screwed up on flashing and as a last resort flashed retail with no issue. I flashed from retail to project fi with no problems or brick. The only phone that we know will not be able to flash firmware is the amazon prime version
