(Dev) Ubuntu touch for Nexus 6 - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Very good. I'm trying to make a team to make a ROM for Ubuntu Touch Nexus 6, if you are interested in the project you can send a message to the following email: [email protected]

You might want to expand your thread a bit more. Have you done any building to the rom? Let alone the Nexus 6 was shipped with 5.X. Ubuntu Touch is build on 4.4.

[REQ][ROM]AOSPDev 6.0

Hi. I am working on a new AOSP based ROM. I want to support shamu but don't have the device (I have the 6P, 5, and 5X). If anyone KNOWS HOW TO COMPILE A ROM FROM SOURCE and would like to be the shamu maintainer send me a PM.
Thanks,
Shawn

Custom kernel and ROM development for the Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus (TB-8704F/X)

As much as I vowed I would never get a single Lenovo product again, I recently realised what a fool I had been by accusing the recently released kernel sources for the Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus of being incomplete without considering anything on my end such as gcc version. I realised that my gcc version simply wasn't able to compile the kernel sources right now because kernel compilation is working fine in an Ubuntu 16.04 systemd container vs the Ubuntu 18.04 host and containers where it errored out at topology.c. Now that we can compile kernels for the Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus, I'd love to see some custom kernels and ROMs for this tablet. It looks like it could become a good replacement for the aging Nexus 7 (2013) which even community support has to end for at some point. I'm currently downloading the LineageOS 15.1 source and am also compiling the kernel for the Tab 4 8 Plus at the same time. If I can get this kernel booted on Lenovo's Oreo ROM, then I may be able to see what I can do on porting LineageOS 15.1 and even 16.0 to this tablet.
How it's going?
Nice!
Any progress?
Any thing new about this tablet.amazing hardware but no more custom roms and kernels...please some one guide me how to do that(porting room

I am working on porting a similar tablet, but am stuck on a build issue. Looking for someone to help!

Ubuntu touch GSI on Xiaomi MI 8

So, i heard ubuntu touch released a GSI image to flash with twrp but you need to recompile or patch the kernel to successfully boot it. I don't have the skills to do this alone just following the guide without any reference, so could someone look into this stuff to help me do this thing?
Thank you all, i would love to see ubuntu touch kde running on my phone. :victory: (pls don't look at my ridiculous username)
Recently Ubuntu Touch was ported to Mi 8, by me and NotKit. See my profile, for links, and install instructions
