hello
my xperia z (c6603) faced a proplem yesterday..
while restarting , it kept giving me (optimising apps) as if it's being updated while i didn't make anything
when it's finished , it restarts again and again doing the same thing
i asked for help and someone has downloaded a new software
then i found my phone model number is (c6602) in settings ......on kitkat ( it was on lollipop 5.1 )
even i typed *#*#7378423#*#* model is c6602 and on pc companion also
in service types there was 4 types GSM bands 3 types umts and 6 types of LTE
how can this be possible?
and what's the solution

"Someone" flashed wrong ftf for you. Flash C6603 ftf with Flashtool it should fix that.

It's the version of the software. You can use it no trouble and you will have the latest software update for the Z.

Just updated my phone yesterday with 4.2.2 and decrypted the firmware using flashtool, you can use my ftf and flash it to your phone. BTW I'm from Philippines and my phones firmware is Generic PH. My posts are not yet enough so I cant create a thread yet for the ftf but I can pm you the link if you want.

Anyone here with bell? Just got my new Z and it's still on 4.1.2. When I check for update it says up-to-date. I had a ZL before and it had 4,2,2 on bell.
How about other Z users with bell? What version are you guys on? How do I update without connecting the phone to a pc?

U might wan new firmware,u can just googled it..im on 4.2.2 n the 4.3 is coming.just google it bro
I don't want to download and use other firmware loaders to update the phone. why isn't my phone updating it automatically? I called bell and they say xperia z is still on 4.1.2 with them

You can safely flash a .67 firmware. I used the generic ES one and everything works fine, including LTE.
Yes as of now its 4.1.2 stock on bell xperia z

will my warranty be void if i flash it with 4.2.2?
Also i checked the flash tool video from sony - it says it can only be used with unlockable bootloader versions. My phone says the boot loader is not unlockable. I just bought this phone from bell. Can someone give me basic newbie instructions on how to get 4.2.2 on it?

Switch off your phone, hold vol down and while holding it connect micro usb cable...recheck the steps

You would have to unlock the bootloader if you want to flash the ftf.... Got confused myself yesterday.....
Unlocked my bootloader flashed and rooted it and then locked my bootloader again with Bravia.....
4.3 is smooth but there are some glitches.... And camera I feel is good now.... The pics look good

i have just checked now but still no update received in pc companion as well as sony bridge and the ota.
in the site by you its showing .569 but not yet came in PCC maybe today it will come as they would be uploading the firmware

I am owning a Xperia Z1 - Model C6902
Last night I updated my phone through Sony Update Service, because it was having some charging issue. I accidentally selected SO-01F model from the list in SUS(Sony Update Service), the firmware installed and updated without any issue. Will this cause a problem on my phone in near future, if yes kindly tell me the procedure to move back to C6902 firmware.

All should be OK.
You can always repeat sus repair and flash correct firmware.
This time check twice what have you selected

Everything is working fine accept the charging issue which happened out of bloom, thats why I updated it via SUS.
Sometimes it automatically starts charging and sometimes it doesnt even charge. I guess its a software issue cuz the phone is being detected when connected to pc but its not charging anymore, any solutions ?
Tmobile Xperia Z, will it see lollipop?? According to sony, the device's latest software version is complete and it's lollipop.... but according to Tmobile, 4.3 is the latest version. Moreso, tmobile's lollipop update center isn't showing the xperia Z even on the list of current devices rolling out 5.x!
Does anyone have any information on this?
If it's not available with update center, why not to update by ftf and flashtool?

XT1042 is the Moto G. Motorola devices cannot be flashed with Flashtool.
As for the original question, it seems T-Mobile have abandoned the C6606 and aren't approving any more software updates for it.

don't worry bro, i use t-mobile too (C6606) but we can use firmware for C6603 (not recomend use C6602 becuz it's not has LTE )
i use all rom of C6603 for C6606 (you can use rom C6616 if you want) and it really good so far. 5.1.1 very cool .just flash through Flashtool. sorry my bad english bro
