Emotion UI 3.0 Confirmed

As you can read in the tittle, huawei has confirmed emotion ui will be released september 30 for ascend p7. So in a few days we should have the new user interface in our devices. Lets se what happens .

The other possible date is october 30, for the local update, an one more month for the FOTA update. (i saw that information in huaweis chinesse forums, so...

Sounds cool. Man I can't wait for EMUI 3.0 to arrive.

Any updates are always welcome. However this device stock rom has pretty good build quality in regards of bugs. So updates are only for curiosity.

It is closed beta. Meaning not shared to public. I have registere to participate but havent got any replies yet.

The final date is 20 October for local update. The font is Chinese forums and Google translator, but I don't find the link. So we have to wait a few weeks more

What about the Ascend P7 software updates?
Can you tell if this device will get an upgrade UI based on Android Lollipop, until the end of this year?
I've already seen some information about it in Chinese blogs, but... until now, there's nothing,!!
They're talked about Ascend P7 getting Emotion UI 3.0 unlike Mate 7, is that true??

Marshmallow for P7? You have to be kidding me. Maybe P8 in 2017 will get it, but P7 nope.

we don't get Lollipop so what do you think about Marshmellow
Huawei give you a good phone for price but they don't know the phone anymore after that

look at the P6, it never got 5.x update even though its more capable of running it.

Yes,they are little chances to see Android 6.0 in Huawei P7 i don't think Huawei will update it,the only chance is somebody to port MIUI Android 6.0 to Huawei P7.

P9 Lite 2017 is just one of many names for this year edition. Great news indeed, just shame i have a branded one so we'll have to be more patient. You guys reckon this phone will be planned for Android O?

What's the support history of Huawei? This is my first Huawei device so I don't have an idea.
If they do support their devices with software updates even for just a year, we are bound to get Android O as our devices shipped with Nougat to begin with.

I think so too. Huawei isn't too keen on support for mid-rangers timewise, but for comparison P Lite and Honor Lite series always got newer Android version that they were shipped with, so this one should get one up too.

Even if they don't support the P8 Lite 2017, I wish they would release the sources at least, and let the community take care of the rest. Now, even if we don't get official Android 8 and EMUI 5.1, we can build ourselves some Lineage / RR / etc Custom ROMs so we won't be left behind.

Still I didn't get any update Huawei sucks at this

[OLD] Huawei P9 Lite will not receive Oreo update - Huawei Support

Sadly boyz we will be stuck on Nougat.

Maybe porting oreo from P10 Lite will be possible if someone will give it a try. Having oreo on p9 lite is good. since our devices runs very smooth and with our ram size i think it can handle oreo

Welp. I don't think they will be releasing any android go on our device.

It said in the reply text "the list of phones with available OREO will look like this in the first quarter of the next year". Which means that we still can get it in the second quarter of 2018. I think I even found some official list where P9 lite is scheduled to get OREO in the second quarter of 2018 but I can't remember where if you killed me now.

Maybe p9 lite 2017.

It said in the table that P9 lite is scheduled for update to OREO in quarter 2 of 2018.
What is confusing dough, is that on this official table of update schedule Honor 8 lite is scheduled for quarter 1 of this year but P8 lite 2017 is scheduled for quarter 2, which we know is the same phone with a different name, it also bears the other names like P9 lite 2017, Nova lite, and GR3 2017.
Our P9 lite kirin 650 is just 0.1GHz weaker in 4 cores than P9 lite 2017 version that has kirin 655. That is the only difference between these two phones. How much do they need to change OREO for it to be ready for our update with basically the same phones?
And here is another announcement for Honor 8 lite(P9 lite 2017) for coming update from just 2 days ago:

Its P10 lite global model for region China. AL00C00 is mark for mentioned models. Also, its about beta testinfg, but models Al00C00 have issues with google play apps, of course, because they dont use them, or precisely those apps are not allowed in China. If someone want to try beta version must perform debrand to mentioned model Was-C00Al00. You can find it in our archive of oeminfo here in section for p10 lite.

Of course. Beta testing for c432 in March-April approximately , official Emui 8 lets say in May.

No source, just experience with other models. Let say p10 plus beta testing was in november 2017 and just now start rolling out official version of Emui 8. It took few months for those testing. Also, same situation was with P9 lite during upgrading from Emui 4 to emui 5.
