hello guys...
I am using Htc Desire 626 (not 626s).
I tried to root using Kingroot. it roots the phone, but when I restart the root is gone.
And when i root again, sometimes it roots/ sometime fails.
So please guys help me to root this devices parmanently.
And another Q. why we are not getting any real rooting process of this devices( S-off, bootloader unloaking etc)
FYI - this procedure has been confirmed to work with the AT&T version of the Desire 626 if running Lollipop (not sure what carrier or Android version you have):

Of course, it also works with the 626s...

tnx for you heads up. I am on 4.4.4. so the android version should be 5.xx. ??
I'm not 100% sure. If you read the link below, where the person says that the procedure was successful on an AT&T 626, he doesn't specifically say if it was Android 4.x or 5.x.
Maybe ask for clarification in this thread:

i tried recovery of 626s. bt i forget to mention my devices is 626x. now recovery is not booting bro. can you help me with that ???

Hello,
I just bought an HTC One in Germany (Vodadone) to use in Brazil and it is working just fine. But since it is a Vodafone version it takes longer to get Android updates releases. I was wondering if it is possible to flash the Developer Edition image, which is carrier free, on my phone and stay true to the original HTC build.
I know that there is the dev build available for download on htcdev.com. Has anyone tested it? Is there any tutorial here on how to do that?
Thanks in advance.

You can flash the US Dev Ed from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265820
in case you didn't already know, must be bootloader unlocked, rooted, and have custom recovery.
If you mean an RUU you will have to wait for s-off and supercid

Hi all,
I never rooted my m7 before and now I updated to 4.4.3 and still on stock.
What procedure shall I use to root my device? Same as for 4.4.2?
Thanks in advance.

@majmoz : I am aware of the page and instructions, however my question will the rooting work even if i updated my device to 4.4.3? I do not want to mess things up..

Yes. It works fine.
On HTC One Mini2 everything works fine!
I was able to get s-off but I can not install twrp to flash supersu. I have tried recovery-twrp-2.8.5.0 and it seems to install but does not run. Some lines of test appear on the bottom but very quickly and I can't read it. I have a Verizon version of the one mini 2

I am stuck in Android 4.4.2
I purchased a Sprint HTC One m8. As I am in Bangladesh the device was Carrier Unlocked via Super CID method
so I didn't get any OTA for Marshmallow
I tried to install Marshmallow via HTC RUU (Rom update utility) ,but in vein it didn't succeeded.
at last I rooted, installed custom Recovery (openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.0-m8_whl, as updated recovery from TWRP doesn't support my device) ,tried to flash CM 13, it failed
I tried to flash some other custom roms found in the htc one m8 thread, but they didn't get installed
I am with a heavy heart asking for a solution to update my device to marshmallow
if anyone kind enough with a super CID can plz backup their Marshmallow Rom with TWRP and upload it for me here, I will be able to taste marshmallow in my HTC One M8 Sprint
plz plz plz ...help me
(*I am using Herman/Kardon Audio amplification in my device though it's not Harman/Kardon edition phone
You are quite a few updates back, try this...
1. Backup anything important to your PC.
2. Flash the latest firmware (boot.img and recovery removed)
3. Run the latest MM RUU.
4. Update TWRP.
5. Flash any Sprint compatible rom.

The RUU will return your device to the same state as it left the factory.
It is an .exe file that you run from your PC, download it and right click and run as admin, follow the instructions on the screen.
Use the latest TWRP it works for all M8 variants.
I have done it (Y)
