LG G Flex L23 KitKat or Lollipop? - LG G Flex

I know many people probably have asked this and blah blah blah, but I've been looking every to upgrade my LG G Flex L23 to at least kitkat or higher if I can without the lose of phone function. I myself am sorta new to this but techy enough to get things done. Could someone please give me all the necessary links to update and maybe even a sorta step by step tutorial on how to do so. All efforts are very much appreciated.

There is no lollipop for us... I know it's sad... Just stick with the Rom you got and search for mods if you want some, a lot of the g2 mods are compatible with the Flex.

[Q] unroot/remove sprec/stock 2.0.1....HELP!!!

Ok, this is ****ing ridiculous, every other phone i've ever had from htc etc, xda has had my ass covered, i always found what i wanted, found step by steps and all links are alive....the droid however.....has everybody forgotten it exists??????
I need to return droid, and to do so i obviously need to unroot, stock it up and send it back, sounds easy right??????
WRONG!
every link i click on here, alldroid, droidworld, droidlife, droidwasteoftime etc etc........gives me a completely different method, some say i can do it, others say don't bother, all give me links, but everyone without fail.....fails.
so PLEASE, somebody please just give me a LIVE link to stock 2.0.1 so i can do it myself, thats all i ask, just a working link, just one!
obviously the droid ceased to exist when all the new generation of devices appeared, but this is ridiculous....there is still a VERY active community for devices like my old kaiser, aaaages after they disappeared from shelves, so why, only a year or so after release has everybody just given up on this phone????
Sorry most of this is redundant, i don't want to get flamed, but i'm so damn FRUSTRATED!!!! please, if you ignore everything else, please can somebody just give me the link so i can restore what i want and ship this piece of **** right out!
Try this
The vanilla Droid isn't dead. You just don't know how to look. It's far from a PoS
This link worked for me back to stock/unrooted: droidforums.net/forum/hacking-help/37717-unroot-unbrick-using-sbf-post-ikithme.html
Maybe you should try covering your own ass?

Petition about possibility to unlock bootloader in G Flex

Hello everybody!
I'm a LG G2 user, but i'm trying to unite all dissatisfied LG users to sign up to my petition, for more informations check my G2 thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/petition-possibility-to-unlock-t2832013) or just read the quote from it:
Hello!
I don't know, maybe someone remembers me from P880 forum
Whatever - in that time the 4X HD had locked bootloader which no one was able to unlock it, so I decided to make a petition about it (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1852721). We succeed and we could unlock the bootloader via fastboot oem unlock in Jelly Bean update.
Now LG did it again, their G2 and G3 flagships as well as some other devices are locked as hell again. I decided today to reopen my petition and share this message to You guys so maybe we could get the unlockable bootloader again, or at least a way to unlock it like it is for example HTC phones.
Here's the link to the petition:
http://www.change.org/petitions/lg-...opportunity-to-unlock-bootloader-in-lg-phones
Let's have at least some hope for it, so we could get easier development and also G3 development could rise.
My reopened petition has 4031 supporters (for now) so it should be a little visible

Individual emails have also the meaning. If You have a minute, please send emails to these addresses, also don't forget to mention about our petition:

(to moderators: yes, it's my copy/paste i make on few LG phones' sections, I don't spam, I just share the message to LG users and want to do something for community as I did in the past)
EDIT: I'm posting in G3's petition thread to prevent (my) spam, also G3 community is the most active, so that's why I decided to keep posting and updating there:

Good idea, but these never work. I've seen a bunch of petitions against Samsung with thousands of signatures just get ignored. By the way I will sign it just to support this though

Ya I'm signing it because yours worked last time. I was saying I've seen lately petitions with much more signatures ignored. That was also Samsung phones so maybe LG actually cares about their customers.

I saw the same thing on the SG4. And on the Moto RAZR HD maxx , Moto RAZR maxx. Not to be discouraging but in these days and times with so many people learning to mod and how to take phones to other carriers , and all the simple one click root / unlock / recovery methods out there its becoming so easy for almost anyone to do what we used to have to do with cmd prompt adb and making boo table disc of Linux just to root or install whatever. These carriers and manufacturers are just safe guarding against warranty claims and losing a subsidized phone to another ..... I understand .... Do I think its right ...HELL NO My phone I paid for it don't tell me how to use it. But.....my phone I paid for it and would I want my 10 year old son to be able to do this stuff without the knowledge of how ? Nope Cuz in the end when he bricks it and I need him to have a phone when he goes off around the neighborhood or stays at a friends then guess what I gotta eat the cost. So I believe I like the idea that he can't mess it up if its not unlocked or rooted. But that should also be left up to the purchaser of the device.
I signed it, but I dont expect anything to become of it.
Signed. Good luck

Port ROMs from Titan (Moto G 2014)

Hello everyone,
I recently bought the Moto G 2014 4G (XT1078) and see that there's some development around here, enough to let us breath some Android freedom but still not that much. Since the Titan is much alike our Thea phones except for 4G I wonder if it isn't easy somehow to port ROMs from there...
I can try to do it if given the guidelines, hope anyone can answer that.
Thanks in advance.

What about building your own roms from source and releasing them to community?

Well, Luk1337, this is exactly why we appreciate you developers so much. The fact is there is so much involved in collecting and becoming familiar with a whole load of information that to an existing developer will be immediate or second nature. I am a tech person and I am sure I could do it - eventually. When I help users myself in my own areas of expertise I can do in minutes what they have been in some cases literally days on... It's all about time and focus and most users don't want to be an expert technician, just to use something that works.
I know you have your own time limitations, and for now I am just thankful you took the time to put the CM12.1 ROM together which I am now using. When and if you can get round to a CM11 ROM, I think I would use it in preference, but what you have done is just fine.
If there is some easy way to edit the Titan CM11 flash zip with 7zip and drop in the right driver files and build.prop, I could do that if I knew what they were. Also, its a pity the new CM12 flash zips contain images rather than the folder/file structure because now it is not possible to modify/remove installed apps or edit settings prior to flashing...

Help please with not so patient dad who want to save 3 phones with new android update

first, the situation...
My teens all have unlocked T-mobile G6 h872... And teens are what they are, want new phones... "they're old...." "they're slow...." and so and so. As a dad, I'm trying to teach the opposite and try to keep my phone longer, not to fall in the consummation process phone makers want us to . I say it is a pretty dawn good phone. Just need a little update....
Then...
I've rooted phone in the past, my tablet is rooted but when I came here to check for the H872 (20G), I've only found mixed opinions and complicated way. The most common I think is the pull the plug Russian roulette that I am not willing to try. After hours of reading I am still not 100% sure of what to do. F*** , this is much more complicated than my phone or my tablet. Where can I find a simple not so risky "how to" to install them a new version of android (t-mobile s****) and save them a year or more. Can you suggest something 9 or 10 (rom) stable and solid. I don't want then to come and say, see it not working again or this and that..... They don't need to be rooted but as I know yet,I think you have no choice
Conclusion...
I don't understand the need to get the last version bomb phone just to send sms, watching videos and taking pictures of the cat.... Maybe I am too old to understand that..... but it is what it is... can you help?
